Yizhi521 of TF08.net has posted some new images of the blue Autobot motorcycle figure from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toyline.
Unlike previous photos of this figure, these seem to be complete with a stand for keeping the figure upright in robot mode, as the "wheel-foot" would likely lead to balance issues.
The toy is currently being referred to as "Chromia" due to a listing on Amazon.jp.

I really do like the look of this figure. I'm really looking forward to the Biker Chicks, even though I'm getting sick of the overused "wheel-for-feet" thing going on in ROTF and the pink one looks like it's got a giant tumor on its back...
... Still, I think the engineering on this toy looks needlessly complicated, and if it was that difficult to do a deluxe class figure - I guess that means we can rule out any other incarnations of these characters... Can these designs even be done in a Legends or FABS size?

I'm look at this figure and I just can't understand how it could combine with one, let alone two other figures. It boggles my mind.

She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid.
Just yankin' ya. The Force is weak with this one.

That's what Ironhide said!
I haven't given up on her and the other two yet - that thing still looks hideously mistransformed.

It seems that the film was originally going to be titled:
"Revenge of the Fugly".

Now that's not nice. It's FUBAR, not fugly. FUBAR.
Ugly people took offense to being compared to Chromia.

Now that I can definitely believe.
I really wanted this one. A fembot who isn't pink - even if she could have been a better shade of blue. But that robot mode is really changing my mind. The film's starting to look more like Revenge of the Wheels.

I'm sure the movie look won't be bad, but the movie designs aren't that toy friendly in my opinion. It's a bad toyline IMHO.
I only bought ONE 2007 movie figure (2 if you count the one Real Gear toy I liked), versus 6 Animated figures.
I have zero plans to buy any of the 2009 movie figures at this time.

Put it in shiny packaging, show it in a movie theater, and sell it in a Toys R Us and all of a sudden it's plastic crack.
No.
That thing is ugly and quite stupid looking in my not so humble opinion. In any other venue, we'd laugh at and deride this toy.
How does this pass as an acceptable Transformer after the wonderful toys we've gotten over the past few years (first movie line included! many of those were quite innovative)?

I thought that was pretty much confirmed to be the case.

I bet they'll look cool onscreen, but the toy translations are leaving me cold.
Oh well. My wallet will smile.

If this is a stand alone figure and not sold in a combining 3 pack it is disappointing to say the least.
Posted by First-Aid on March 19th, 2009 @ 10:12am CDT
That said, I'm not sure this is correctly transformed. Most of the movie figs have had a definitely "finished changing" feel to them and this one doesn't feel right.
I will wait for now until we see the other two Biker Chicks.

But I am wondering one thing. Is Chromia one of the robots we see chasing down the silver car transformer in the trailer?
EDIT: Nevermind... i just downloaded the H|D trailer and saw that I'm right... you can see Arcee, Chromia and a third bike robot skating along after the silver car.. Man.. the ideas in this film are starting to bug me something silly.

That combine together to form Elita One (or Arcee idk)
That makes sense to me, the colors fit and they incorporate almost all the female autobots. Plus if the pink bike is Arcee then a "Combined Mode" name like Elita One seems to fit.
So I was correct in my assumption.

I certainly hope not! That would really suck! That she is combined by three bikes okay, but three fembots combined to become Arcee?? NO!
Then Mr. Bay really f***** up ROTF!

Ah, please don't bring up Wheeljack... I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that he's not going to be in the film
Michael Bay, if you're reading this... You know who we all want to see in TF3

I hope you're kidding. If they DID put him in the movie, he'd be a pink Decepticon scooter from Chevy. Now at your local dealership!

Argh, you're right! I didn't think of that.
Mr. Bay? Please forget what I just said... I'd rather have no Wheeljack than pink Wheeljack *cringes at thought*
