As you might recall, we mentioned back a few days ago that Singapore would be hosting a Midnight Madness event where many Transformer related prizes would be handed out. Seibertronian Freaky777 was present at the event and managed to win a limited edition Battle Damaged Bumblebee figure! Bee uses the Age of Extinction mold that is also used for the Hasbro Wave 1 Bumblebee figure, but with extensive paint apps designed to evoke battle damage. You can check out the pictures that Freaky777 sent us and let us know if you were able to snag something from the event!

Bee looks kinda OK - Hes a bit like the battle Damaged bee that came out a very long time ago with one of the earlier moulds.

The Large Black Hood is also similar to a few obscure Bees too.

He is a bit banana yellow though. I'd buy one if I can get one for less than silly money.

---

Other than looking a bit like RID's Fixit Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks also looks a lot like the 2003 Street Action Team Minicon Sureshot (a scooter as well) and also The head reminds me of Old Bob from Disney's the Black Hole.

The small white robot was T-Bob from MASK (by the way), I mentioned Old Bob rather than Vincent as Bob is bashed up looking. and has one leg hanging down like Squeek's CGI form which has one wheel and one peg leg.

As for the little base he has - It also reminded me of a Webdiver Playset too.

Sqweeks kinda feels like a RotF toy, what with the quirky bot mode and oddball alternate mode and all. Same goofy charm as the Ice Cream Twins or Wheelie or Ransack.

I am getting tons of ROTF vibes from this line. That Berserker is totally a ROTF figure similar to the likes of Sideswipe or any other bot who had very little alt mode integration. And that Optimus is totally taking hints from Battleblades Prime for me. Like the idea that the entire bottom of the truck folds into itself for the legs and the arms making the front. I guess I am referring to the large amount of shellforming involved instead of the inside out technique AOE tried.

In all seriousness, it's the most media covered, first voyager on tfwiki, and the last voyager on wave 1 on tfwiki. Little suspicious if you ask me.

I had a chat with my inner 8 year old and they told me that Squeeks and anything that changes into a dragon is "cool".

Oh and I'll tell you what else Squeeks is a bit like :

The Dark of the Moon "Go Bots" Bumblebee the one that wiggles when you push it along.

Oh and Death My ol' Pal look back a couple of pages and you will see we were on the same wave length.

He stood out as the one I was most interested in. Had a cool rasta vibe going on. But really non of the TLK toys out so far have piqued my interest. I did pick up a couple tiny turbo changers though. They are fun little rubbery chunks of plastic to scoot around my desk.

Are they serious? That Grimlock is the same as the last Grimlock, there's nothing new other than the paint job, which doesn't give it the right to be $10 more.

I say try Berserker out. He is the better deluxe of the bunch and does show more effort put into him than the rest. Still not as solid and innovative as the Titans Return toys though.

And he makes a good DOTM Crankcase.

The figure is a redeco of the Deluxe Premier Edition Barricade figure, and will be available only at Tsim Sha Tsui Toys”R”Us in Hong Kong. Only those who spend a minimum of $1200 in Transformers products will be eligible to receive one of the 300 copies of the toy. Kinda makes me laugh how divided people are between these two. Some say Barricade is a terrible shellformer and Berserker is better, others say Berserker is uninspired and Barricade is better. I don't want either so I'm just enjoying the drama.

Anyway, I walked around Walmart today for the third time this week, still no movie toys (though they did put out three cases of TR Voyager Wave 3 and one case of Wave 4). Really only interested it Tiny Titans right know from wave 1, but I would like to see Voyager Prime in person.

Every single wave 1 deluxe is uninspired and all are subpar by any standards of what makes a decent TF toy. I do personally preffer Berserker to the rest, but its just like I would rather have herpes than aids.

As bad as the colours on TR Kup might be to people, that toy is a way better purchase than any of these wave 1 deluxes. Just saying that if people want good TF toys, make sure you have al those wave 4 deluxes before venturing into these new movie deluxes.

Now as I promised, my thoughts movie Barricade, Prime, and Tiny turbo changers Hound.

Hound: These tiny titans are way better than anything of this type of toy before. They transform in one step, but they are so cute and fun! They have almost as much articulation as the legends! and Hound is so cute. He has some nice paint on his head and some on his chest, and he is a joy to hold, and for pocket change he is surprisingly worth it. Loads of fun, and I need to find Sideswipe. maybe pick up several more. come on he's $3 and he's loads of fun! He's about as much fun as the titan masters, and that makes him very worth it and loads of fun.

Barricade: Will, I have to disagree about the movie figures not being good or up to par. Barricade is easily better than some of the recent voyager TR figures and I think he's better than Hot Rod. He's really fun! He has some heft to him, he feels dense. And he may be short, but he is much stockier and dense. And the detail is awesome. I love the front of the car mode and he looks pretty awesome in both modes. The amount of special details like the knuckles show there was love put into him. The backpack is really not that bad and the alt mode actually pegs in fairly easy and tight on mine. Both modes are gorgeous, the transformation really isn't bad and is fun, and this is the good Barricade I've wanted since seeing the first movie. He is the best of the deluxe Barricades, and I highly recommend him.

Prime: They finally got one right. And man is he cool. First things first, he is well worth the money. Despite some not perfect paint apps, he has plenty of colors, and his transformation is awesome! It is loads of fun and far more satisfying than ANY TR voyagers or leaders that have been released. Fact. The alt mode is really cool looking and the robot mode is awesome. The chest is pretty awesome, the headsculpt is pretty cool, and it's amazing that most of the pieces end up where they are supposed to. They even manage to get the hood into the arms! He really works in both modes and the transformation is incredibly satisfying. I love the figure, and the kibble is really not that bad in hand guys, come on! The only main hindrance is that he had CW Megatron knee syndrome, but he looks really good and it's pretty cool how he folds up how he does.

Overall, Tiny Turbo Changers are highly recommended. Get at least 2 or 3. they are worth it and they are fun!!! Barricade is a really solid figure and fun for those who want that bad guy cop. And Prime is a finally good version of his knight body with a transformation that beats almost everything from the past 2 years. Get both Prime and Barricade. Do it.

So I saw a riot shield usage for Barricade's backpack on Twitter and tried it out. Really super easy, especially since there's no pin holding it on! I think it works pretty well, doesn't hold super tight (one of those "pose it first at then attach the shield" cases) but if you told me this was a feature abandoned halfway through development I would believe it.

That's very cool. I didn't realise the backpack was so easily removable. I tried sticking it on the nightstick like in your pics but then wanted the nightstick free so sorta clamped the shield onto his forearm using the doors cos they are just about stiff enough at the joints to hold on. I like this figure even more now that the big packpack is actually removable.
Thanks to you and the twitter for the idea.

As with Age of Extinction, all one steps released in this movie line have a unified gimmick that lets them interact with a big one step changer. With AOE it was small pins that interacted with Stomp and Chomp Grimlock and in The Last Knight it is a cyberfire gimmick where details on these one steps are only revealed when Turbo Changer Dragon Storm activates his Cyberfire Breath. Since Dragonstorm is not yet available, that feature remains unseen in the new one steps. Until now. Since the Cyberfire gimmick is just UV light activated, any black light can reveal the hidden details on the one steps as can be seen below on both One Step Barricade and One Step Hound. This gimmick was already revealed in a colour guide but this is the first time we see what it looks like on the actual toys.

Enjoy!

Oooh! That's a pretty clever gimmick! A shame it seems to be restricted to One-Steps, I'd love to see it used on some "proper" figures.

Actually, there's an idea for a TF gimmick. A long time ago I remember seeing in a toy store a car that you could "repaint" using a little UV light that temporarily changed the plastic colour (or the paint, I can't remember if it was painted). So here's a thought- imagine if you made TFs out of that kind of plastic/coated in the same kind of paint and gave them weapons with little focused blacklights in them that could be used to "shoot" other toys with the same gimmick and show up as "battle damage"/"scorch marks" (which would of course fade back to normal after a minute or so). A bit like the old colour-changers except based on light instead of water.

Maybe that's exactly what the gimmick is supposed to be. Instead of the light revealing Prime like flame job decos, the flames are supposed to be the dragon fire from Dragon Storm's attack engulfing the smaller bots. :-?

I thought that's what it was, I was just sorta joking about it giving everyone Prime's trendsetting fashion style. Being dragon fire from Dragonstorm makes sense. )
