eBay seller etoyshunter has the new "FAB" Megatron up for auction here. This is a grey area for many fans at the moment as it is really unclear given the size of the figure if it is indeed a FAB figure or an icy Voyager sized Megatron. Etoyshunter was nice enough to take many size comparison pictures of Megatron next to the recent Seibertron.com gallery inductee, Ironhide

I was thinking the same thing, but at the moment that wouldn't be the greatest of ideas as I'll be moving soon and I don't need one more thing to pack up.

I agree. It's a nice figure, Transformation isn't that great, but I'm still having a hard seeing him as Megatron.

Personally, I'm not too keen on the movie toys as they don't feel like the G1 toys we all knew and loved so much...and no, I'm not bashing the whole movie and movie toys.
I do like the looks of some.

It looks so... cheap. I can't believe this isn't the FAB version (at least, according to TFW2005 it isn't) - he looks super not-poseable, and those bronze fingers are weird...

I would rather blow my money on the leader class megatron
and optimus. So when will we see color pics of leader class megatron?

Use it more as light piping and stop obstructing all that robot goodness!

Are you blind or something? This Megatron is highly poseable : head, shoulders, elbows, elbow swivels, waist, hips, knees, feet, even the claws are articulated. Sometimes I wonder if people bother checking the pics and descriptions before posting.

Confirmed where?

megatroptimus wrote:On tfw2005. Source is an Hasbro insider (but they won't tell). Even without this source, it's now %100 obvious it's not FAB Megatron. Shit, the thing is TALLER and LONGER than Voyager Ironhide. Doesn't share the deformed look of the other FABs. Doesn't share the poor articulation of the other FABS (except Prime). Has lightpiping (none on the FABs). And so on. If anything, it transforms in the style of Protform Prime and Starscream. It could almost be called "First movie appearance Megatron".
I figured it was a Voyager based on the articulation points but until an in-package shot appeared or an employee said otherwise I was hoping the dealer was right about it being a larger-than standard FAB. It would have made the simplistic transformation and fingers sticking-out in jet-mode more acceptable.
In spite of my love for translucent plastic I hate it. Like some of the other figures in the line (Blackout, Bumblebee) the paint apps are too minimal, so the face looks like a paint blob with eyes and the body looks plasticky, and the wings, instead of having ice on them, are 'ice'.

THE PREQUEL COMIC sort of emphasised that to me.....It's scary, but I actually think Movie Megs is growing on me!! YIKES!

Except that the dealer never ever said such a thing. I've dealt with the guy before for 2 other test shots and he doesn't know squat about Transformers. He's more interested in stealing shitloads of toys from the factory and making money out of them than actually knowing what he's selling.
I find it hilarious that some of you think that simple transformation = FAB. You guys have a very short memory when it comes to overly simplistic voyager/large figures :
-C. Leobreaker (barely transforms)
-C. Vector Prime (has the transformation of a LOC)
-C. Defense Scattershot (the scout version had a better transformation!)
-C. Scourge (barely transforms)

Do me a favor and stop taking it out on others will you? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I can't blame anyone for not knowing if it's an FAB or Voyager. Hell that's why I put it in the news as such. Until we see some concrete proof that it is what it is people will be unsure. Sorry but "an inside source" is just as credable as someone saying " I work for hasbro, take my word for it". No offense to you or anything like that, that isn't my intent, but please don't insult others to try and prove your point.

Apologies, I assumed it was the dealer who said it was a FAB since the guy who first stated it was a FAB and started the rumor was saying so before even seeing it in person. Who was that? Oh yeah, it was you! Good job.
megatroptimus wrote:-It's bigger than the other FABs (apparently about as big as Voyager Blackout!)
It's definitely not the Leader version (doesn't match the leaked pictures and definitely has no electronics), and it looks too simplified to be the Voyager version, looks like a flipchanger-sorta-bot to me, so I'm pretty sure it's the FAB version."
To me, simplistic transformation + looking as if it was designed for 4-7 year-olds in mind = probably a FAB. As I said, it looked too articulated to be a FAB but I was hoping otherwise because I wanted a decent-looking voyager whose wings aren't made of icicles.
What I find both sad and hilarious is you going on multiple forums and posting as if either the love of your life has been slandered or you've never been right about anything in your life and this is your one chance. Right or not, being an ass makes you no better than the retards who post crap like 'it's not his Earth mode so it's obviously a preview figure!!!'
Posted by Anonymous on March 20th, 2007 @ 8:38pm CDT
And I think I was entitled to post on multiple forums since people were using pictures that were given to me without my permission. Sometimes you have to set the record straight when "retards" start posting about stuff they don't know squat.

No, I avoid the TFW2005 Forums because of people like them and people like you.
And I wasn't quoting the thread title.

Stop being a bloody hypocrite. You're the one who started the stupid rumor with your assertion. You didn't say you weren't sure until people asked if you were certain.
In addition to that,
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?siteid=0&pub=5574891718&campid=5336631220&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2FUp-coming-MOVIE-FAB%20...%20dZViewItem%3C%2Fa%3E%3F
Dealers are referring to it as FAB Megatron. Whether they're the same as the guy you purchased from or not I neither know nor care.
Also, if you don't want pictures given to you posted all over the internet without permission, don't upload them. Photobucket and sites like that aren't secure. Any 16 year-old boy could tell you that.

Yeah, I like this BTW. I will own all the FAB part of this line.
