If THIS is what Hasbro is counting on to sell like hotcakes and turn around bad sales figures, they're going to find themselves reeling backwards with a bloody nose. Just like they did after the disaster that is the 'Crapper-Crap Comcrapper' line.

They really think that these ugly folding bricks that you jam onto the toys are 'cool'? Are 'mech tech' weapons really the ace up their sleeve that they think are the perfect counter to a global recession brought on by bad economic policies...?

I don't know why everyone's hating on this; I'm lovin' it! I LOVE movie Prime, but I don't love paying an arm and a leg for Voyagers and Leaders. I've always wanted a Deluxe-scale one, other than activators and his proto-form toy, and here one is at last!

I agree that $20-$22 is WAY TOO MUCH to pay for movieverse stuff, however, this is the 237th version of movie prime. It's smaller and almost certainly, less complicated than it's predecessors. It has a ridiculous plastic stool sample for a weapon. This will appeal to cheap parents with whiny kids and that is all. Oh yea, and yourself.

u know if you've never had an optimus prime this one is the newest and for a kid it would be awesome how many people have never had a perceptor before? i bet that new one looks amazing to you . it does to me. so much i payed 20 bucks for it on ebay. whats awesome is in the eye of the beholder an for a little kid a new optimus with a giant gun is awesome and for 10- 12 bucks parents will eat it up too.this new line is buisness smart but not much i'm interested in.

Why do all the DOTM figures look like KOs? The paints aps are god awful. What little hope i still had in hasbro is just about gone, with all the price gouging, lack of figures, TF Prime, the lack luster DOTM line im to the point where im just gonna stop caring about the franchise. Im probably going to boycott the DOTM line cause it just looks bad and its one of the main reasons why most of us havent seen the last waves of generations and the other current lines. Sure one person not buying figures wont do much but at least ill feel a little better.

im not holding my breath this version will have trailer included some how but i will wait t o see what bot mode looks like first to pass judgement.

right now only prime im gettting in movieverse is takara voyager prime

It's not bad for a deluxe class version of Movie Prime and it looks way better than the deluxe class Classics Prime. The Mechtech gun looks shit, but who knows painted black and gold it might looks pretty bad-ass.

I guess, if you like trucks with oversized wierd objects on their roof driving around. Looks too toyish at this point. Weapon integration into a fluent vehicle mode is engineering genius. This just looks half assed and TOO toyish for someone like me who figures himself a more realistic, or aestheticly pleasing collector. On a wierd a$$ side note, i just had a dream where Blackout was chasing me... actually, the second one I've ever had where he was chasing me. Started in my room as i peaked out and saw devastation outside, and then I had to keep running and trying to jack cars to drive away from him and his guns... Then Breakdown started chasing me on the road. And the wierd thing is, in the dream, I was going, "this is a dream, wake up"..but then i couldn't, as if it really WASN'T a dream.
Sorry for the tangent, it was just cool in a really scary way.

Well the entire line has these stupid weapons, besides you can always chuck them. The thing is, if I'm getting this it will be in the 2 pack set with the G1 Prime reissue. That version comes with a trailer, a trailer I bet can hide that thing within, after all it's a box. :lol:

My complaint was for the saturation of the Prime market. I suppose it wasn't a new thought, as I'm assuming many people feel similarly. Just recently broke out the old Lemming's and Worms Armageddon! You might be right about the bot mode. Time will tell there. As far as Ratchet goes, the red and white version was pretty cool. But I already had the Best Buy voyager version so I passed.

Yea, I always found somthing I didn't like about the previous versions, the voyager was too big for my scale requirement, the next deluxe had too much of a gap in the chest, but this new one looks great, if only if it had the original paintjob.

I Love how all of you are saying you wanna see his bot mode. YES he has 2007 Voyager Humpback, but at least the ACTUAL windows are on his chest. still, a Voyager Bonecrusher could have ended all this, well, whatever. look a few posts ago you'll see deluxe prime's bot mode. at least they are bringing Brawl back to the movie, if they make a new mold, watchem have a MechTech Claw.

The semi mode actually looks pretty good to me, except for the big gun, but you can always take that off. There is more paint detail on it than I thought there would be; the robot mode isn't bad for a deluxe. I wonder if he is in good scale with voyager Megatron, and if he is I'll probably pick him up.

I think it is slightly mistransformed at the waist, seems the waist section needs to click up into place instead of being at a diagonal.

Ok the bot mode looks alot better than I expected. It has the appearance of being long legged and limber, which is the vibe I got from the movies, so....it's...actually kinda cool. I won't be buying it, but it does look better than expected.

Interesting, so THIS is the Prime in the 2 pack with G1 Prime.

If you are talking about the Takara one. Its gonna be the Voyager OP with trailer with G1 Reissue Prime with TF History Book..

Theres also a Megatron Voyager with Reissue G1 Megatron also with the TF History Book. The DOTM Voyager Megatron is gonna to be an exclusive color.

They do sell generations in Holland. Just not in toystores.

Just be happy if you receive ANYTHING past wave 3.

Wow, I wouldnt even think twice about this guy. The thing is with the movieverse image, it does not work for a deluxe. The vehicle mode has to be a long truck, making the robot mode look too thin and has a lot of kibble on it.

For example, compare ROTF leader Prime, with the Hunt for the Decepticons voyager Prime. Leader looks better because its a bigger mold and has the room to evaluate equal proportions. Since the voyager was scaled down, the robot mode had to suffer a little bit for the vehicle to look well. Now look at that voyager Prime deduct its size to a deluxe, then subtract paint apps and mold detail to compensate for the stupid mechtech. Now you have deluxe DOTM Prime.

That's my opinion at least, go ahead and waste your money on this guy!!!! hahaha!!! :lol:

I don't care about what 90% of this thread says. I'm still gonna get this as soon as it comes out. Sure, its Mech Tech weapon is atrocious. Sure, its truck mode is a little stretched. Sure, it has a bit of a backpack. But it still looks great to me. A decent truck mode, (despite the weapon, which IS removable) a beyond decent robot mode (at least in my opinion), and a good price point. All the qualities to make this guy worth it to me.
