Godbomber appear to have combiner pegs. Would be interesting attaching them to a combiner.
Also wonder how god ginrai scales with a Combiner

Super Ginrai being the same size as a Combiner would make sense actually considering he was the same size as King Poseidon.

They might be the same height, but they sure arent the same price. Takara is pricing God Bomber even below their standard leader price point (so cheaper than Soundwave).

Nothing of real interest, just explaining what exactly he is. No comparisons with the Super Ginrai retool are made.

Ginrai (Prime) looks cool as usual. God Bomber just looks kinda dorky and the combined mode is awful. I suppose great if you liked the original one but I never did. I just want Prime. I probably can't afford it though cos christmas and other bills and expenses have hit my bank balance hard.

I wasn't expecting the same height either, thought maybe slightly taller than voyager size...

On the pricing difference, I wonder if that's because it's a "simpler" toy - not as good stand alone as the others perhaps? Also, its alt-mode and main gimmick require the purchase of Ginrai in addition to make it worth while?

They're probably just giving acknowledgement of the original TR version of the mold to show what Takara started with as a base for Super Ginrai, done for the sake of merely being professional.

As though to say "This Super Ginrai toy would not have been possible if not for the existence of Hasbro's Titans Return Powermaster Optimus Prime figure. Here's what that version looked like."

Quick question. Ginrai is currently sold out at the Japanese retailers. I've never ordered from one and not sure how they operate, so was wondering if they typically get additional inventory when the figure is released? And if so, can you expect any sort of discount? Trying to see what my options are of getting Ginrai at a decent price when released.

So was there any info on who Godbomber's head's robot mode is supposed to represent? That's still the last question mark on this figure.

HLJ generally has more pieces available once their stock arrives. Not always. And if the item is hot the renaming stock can get snatched in a day or two.

HLJ keeps the discounted price even after release.

Right now it says 8,500 yens because the item is on "Order Stop" but once/if it becomes available again it will go back down to 6,800 yens.

(Also, it's worth checking up the page from time to time, because sometimes people cancel their order, making the item available to pre-order again.)

If it's sold out amiami then its sold out unless they get cancellations or damaged box stock. Similar to Chromedome there.

Some sites like hobbysearch will have him at a higher price post mass release (no more discounted price) or less discounted price like in amiami.

And next time, pre order early. I noticed that Ginrai stocks at amiami held up strong until the Godbomber unit got recently released.

I don't know I like Hasbro's powermaster prime with apex better. Hasbro can produce an Optimus Prime that doesn't require another robot to look awesome.

Far from me claiming to know what or who will get the modern version in the Titanmaster/TF Legends line, as this thread is about the Takara line and Takara went all out in creating a new Headmaster mold for Ginrai, this has nothing to do do with shutting up Miko as you claim.

Stick to the subject. Legends. More or less a repackaging/homage of the G1 original line........which sells! "Prime" had a good jaunt I'd grant you that but they, Hb didn't even include a headmaster subline in their series. How'd Miko fit in the line?

The new picture features the beautifully painted figures with Jaguar and Condor attempting Energon-era combining or some sort of tiki-pole stance while Soundwave watches. All 3 figures are due out within the next week or so, so keep an eye on your pre-orders and be ready for Operation: Takara Legends!

Ok, is it just me, or does Condor have the same type of plastic marring that most (if not all) TR Laserbeaks have? On the piece that houses the 3mm jack?

ok, so i preordered Ginrai, Laserbeak and Convobat through TFscource, generally how long after the japanese release date do they normally get the Takara releases in?

We have seen everything from a few days to over a month.

If Takara had designed the mini-vehicle as specific companions from the outset -I get the impression they might have considered that such a vehicle might make a nice replacement part for any Transformer that uses a body part removal like Blurr and Brainstorm do. I can see that little vehicle fitting into the nose of the vehicle instead of the shield if that had been designed specifically for it.

Which as it isn't it possibly can't. (I don't know I can't check as I don't own that mould yet)

I wouldn't think so, as the vehicles are themed after specific characters from Wave 2 on (Apeface, Brawn). Wave 1 and its redecos was meant as original characters from the onset, hence the vehicles not matching all the time (the closest is Skytread with the Tank/Jet)

With Brainstorm the Wave 2 set (Rarigo and Synapse) is complete. Next up is wave 3: Pteranodon, Lion, Bug and Werewolf. I could see TakaraTomy being cheeky with calling the Pteranodon "Graphy"

it reminds me of how they used to package G1 figures

Ugh. I wish someone would buy me that Ginrai cos the way that is beautifully displayed in truck mode like that makes it something I would love to tear off wrapping paper to reveal underneath.
