New Generation 1 Unicron Lamp Revealed

Thanks to Weibo we get a look at an upcoming Generation 1 style Unicron Table lamp. This lamp which is made by Soldier Story Toys features a magnificent large luxury collection of lights and a lighting and projector remote control which features logo projection. Although billed as a table lamp, this seems more like a light up statue. The lamp also features a smaller Hot Rod holding up the Matrix. There is no mention of price but it is set for release in the second quarter of 2017 and as always keep it here at Seibertron.com for more news on this piece as well as for all your Transformers news.

That was $100 bucks, totally worth it. It was simple though. This'll be $200+ and super fancy!

I'm guessing somewhere in the "more than I'd like to pay" price-range..the only thing close to a lamp that I had similar was that 25th anniversary Mega Man statue. This lamp, even though it doesn't transform, look a lot more like unicron than any of the toys they've tried to make...

Looks like a cross between the new Platinum Edition Unicron's box art and this old Unicron statue:
Pretty much every Unicron toy released by Hasbro since the Cybertron line has been marketed as a Decepticon, most likely for brand consistency (i.e. - the Decepticons are the evil guys, Unicron is an evil guy, therefore Unicron is sold as a Decepticon).budmaloney wrote:but but he's not a Decepticon

I finally got a chance to look at that thing on a larger screen and just dayum 
With all them ditty dots of light I bet a corner display would look super cool, or even better yet higher up towards the ceiling. Hot Rod, I can ignore, but that projector is just silly. Seems like you can have it off though.
So what's the price speculation? I'm afraid to even toss out a number I'd be willing to sell a kidney for yet.

Judging from one of the pics, Hot Rod can be elevated on a translucent rod, so I'm guessing that he can also be removed entirely.

If you mean G1 Unicron, then yes, of course it does since they have never made a real effort to make that toy. When you comment on a thread, you're automatically subscribed to it. You can also subscribe manually. Once you're subscribed, you'll receive an email whenever someone replies, which will contain a link to the post.

In the overview section of your user control board is a 'Manage Subscriptions' tab. click that. Anything with a red highlight is new to you and if you click little notepad at the top left of the name of the thread, it will take you to the first unread post.
Either that, or you can set up the profile to send notifications to an email, if that helps!

So, while you are on the site and you want to see notifications, first you click on anyone's username right below their profile pic. That's how I have it set up already, though. The problem that I'm having with it however, is that while it does send me to the topic, it does not send me to my comment and its replies, but rather to the replies of the topic of the transformers-related news that I clicked on to begin with. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know. Thanks for replying, by the way.

When you comment on a thread, you're automatically subscribed to it. You can also subscribe manually. Once you're subscribed, you'll receive an email whenever someone replies, which will contain a link to the post.
That's how I have it set up already, though. The problem that I'm having with it however, is that while it does send me to the topic, it does not send me to my comment and its replies, but rather to the replies of the topic of the transformers-related news that I clicked on to begin with. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know. Thanks for replying, by the way.
