Adding to our expansive galleries, Seibertron.com presents Takara's answer to Hasbro's IDW-inspired Generations Bumblebee, Generations Bumblebee Goldbug! Despite the figure's name, Bumblebee Goldbug does not share the same head sculpt that Hasbro's Goldfire (an homage to Generation One Bumblebee's upgraded form, Goldbug), rather using a nigh-identical deco with the exception of the head, weapon(s), and forearms. Check out the suped-up Autobot scout below!

I great prefer the Hasbro decos to the Takara one, as the Hasbro ones are more media-accurate as opposed to Takara's deco that looks more like it's trying to evoke the colors of Movie Bumblebee (minus the blue head).

Like the yellow plastic colors and the gunmetal grey, but nothing else. So that's basically 3 Bumblebees out of the same mold so far without even a hint of a possible re-use as... well ANY of the multitude of characters who share his body type.

I despise Hasbro's Bumblebee.

I adore Hasbro's Goldfire.

Takara's Bumblebee Goldbug falls somewhere in the middle.

Could be isolated incident, I say be really careful nonetheless.

That's scary. This new softer plastic Hasbro is using is very problematic. I've broken four deluxe class Transformers Generations figures so far ...

#1 - Bumblebee ... a tab broke off first time I transformed him.

#2 - Orion Pax (Takara) ... one of the wheels snapped off first time I transformed him.

#3 - Megatron ... severe stress marks on sides of black plastic where his head pops through because his head was mis-positioned when transforming his chest area and pushing his head through the hole.

#4 - Skids ... ball joint for upper left leg snapped right off his crotch when I tried popping off the leg to swap the upper leg parts that are misassembled from the factory.

That's four out of 14 deluxe class Generations figures that I've had problems with. Very distressing (pun intended)!!!

YIKES! Surely not the type of figures you'd want kids to play with, or people who don't know their own strength (no offense).

Not long after the last night's Goldbug gallery, Seibertron.com is proud to present yet more galleries of Takara Generations Deluxe figures, and this time, it's double trouble. Take a look below at the awkwardly named Megatronus vs Orion Pax two-pack, all their shinyness - click on any of the images for the full gallery, and check out their Hasbro counterparts here for Orion, and here for Megatron!

Wow the exact same thing happened to me on the same leg on the same ball joint when I was trying to fix the misassembly issue.... was a bitch to find another one. ended up paying 20 bucks for him at a comic book shop.

As we continue in the Seibertron.com quest to have the best toy galleries around, we are now proud to present the latest produce of the unstoppable skills of Ryan: Generations Voyager Rhinox and Doubledealer! The latter is a repaint and remold of triple changer, triple faced Blitzwing, with a new blue colour scheme and head; Rhinox, on the other hand, is an entirely new mold, upgrading his Beast Wars look on a design by Emiliano Santalucia. Click on any of the images below for the full gallery!

Doubledealer is a big waste of that mold. Flywheels was perfect for it. Even that Megatron custom someone did with it was a better use.

Looks like Powermasters are going to be one line that Hasbro won't homage during the Generations line... I wonder if Brainstorm is going to be a proper headmaster?

I'd so get Rhinox IF someone hadn't speculated a Torca retool out of him. I'm not really crazy about getting doubles of Voyager molds, and for me Fuzors > anything.

Darn Sandstorm for making ridiculous retools a possibility. *shakes fist*

The Torca thing is more of a deep fandom desire rather than anything concrete. I'd say go for the mold now if you want it, rather than waiting for something that may not happen later.

I agree, and I think Springer with a new head might work OK for Battletrap, but the Blitzwing mold is a dead ringer for Flywheels.

I doubt it. Hasbro doesn't want kids to lose the heads of Transformers! (though I don't know what difference it makes with all of the ball jointed heads that are missing in collections I buy).

I really really thought about it but decided against it since I know the Takara one will have paint apps and I'd like to show off the differences between the two molds. Would love to see what it looks like if someone else does it.

Also, wasn't Sandstorm the original design, and Springer the retool? :-?

Seibertron.com is proud to present not one, not two not three but four new Generations galleries! The Deluxes are here to help you in your recreations of the events in Dark Cybertron, if so you wished: Waspinator, Skids, Dreadwing and Goldfire. The first two are entirely new molds, while the latter are retooling and repaints of previous Generations Deluxes Megatron and Bumblebee; we've also made sure to show them off next to previous incarnations of the characters! Great galleries as always, Seibertron! (Seriously, I think you could sell me the ugliest piece of plastic crud out there. Image )

I have to ask a question: did you have trouble with Skids falling over backwards? I don't know if I have him mis-transformed or something, but he seemed very back heavy. Some of your pics had him leaning quite a bit forward, but I didn't know if that was to get his guns all lined up or if you also had stability issues. With feet as big as Skids has, I'd think he would be more stable.

Thanks!

Agamemnon wrote:I have to ask a question: did you have trouble with Skids falling over backwards? I don't know if I have him mis-transformed or something, but he seemed very back heavy.

Many of them have been mis-assembled. Look at the figure's gray upper thigh pieces. If the left one has an "R" on it and the right one has an "L" on it, that's your problem. Luckily they pop right off so you can switch them without unscrewing anything or removing any pins. HOWEVER, even when they're assembled correctly, he's still a bit back-heavy due to his lack of "heels".

Play around with his legs some more; they have stiff joints and may bend more than you think. if you can get him into a sort of chicken-leg stance with his feet back as far as possible and his torso out over his toes, that helps.

He really just needs a piece of plastic to fold down on the backs of his feet; so many other figures have this I'm surprised they overlooked it on Skids.

Man I so want to finish G2 Dreadwing and Smokescreen's galleries. They're two of my favorite Transformers and are amongst the first Transformers to be poseable like action figures. One day ... maybe later this year.

On the Subject of skids stability, or lack of there for, have you tried pushing the lower leg behind the knee piece, for an example go to http://youtu.be/E1hAKCf3nZo?t=7m13s

Skids is much better if you have the leg transformation correct. It's not really meant to be a double knee joint. I've had no stability problems with my Skids after I lock in the bottom "knee" joint. its an awesome toy! =D

Courtesy to the big man himself, Seibertron.com is pleased to present our most recent gallery uploads, the much awaited Generations Legends-class Swerve and his partner Flanker, and Cosmos and his partner Payload!

The much-loved chatty bartender is a faithful reproduction in robot mode, while the vehicle mode is a truck with aesthetics resembling a truck from Earth, whereas Cosmos is a new design that reflects his original Generation One self, but with some IDW aesthetics thrown in the mix. Their pack-in partners, Flanker and Payload, are actually homages to Autobot Micromasters Sky High and Blast Master (who no longer forms the back end of a shuttle).

I over paid for them on eBay ($68.98 shipped) so that I could bring all of you galleries in time for Toy Fair 2014 and to give me some breathing room with galleries so that I can work on some of the backlog next week (namely Go! and G1 Powermasters).

I bought Cosmos from https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?siteid=0&pub=5574891718&campid=5336631220&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F310852137789%3Fss%20...%201439.l2649%3C%2Fa%3E%26

Thanks for putting galleries of these up for us! Swerve is great, but Cosmos is just stunning :x

My only qualm with these new Legends is that not all of them have head articulation. To the extent that Starscream and 'Bee can only look forward, the other articulation is awkward when trying to pose them dynamically.

However, the lack of preorders anywhere worries me a lot. I really hope this doesn't mean they may become the latest 'Cancelled Wave Casualties'. Years later we still have no Scout Rumble & Frenzy, and I'd hate for the same thing to happen to these guys.

Yikes!! I hope you can write that expense off on your taxes.

Hasbro needs to get with it, they're just leaving money on the table. The shelves at all the major retailers are devoid of any Transformers besides Beast Hunters and Construct-Bots. Don't they know there's another Baytastic film rolling into a cinema near you, its time to sell, sell, sell!

I'm curious if anyone out there is actually buying the Beast Hunters and Constructo-bots, because that's all I see on store shelves anywhere. And from a retailers perspective it's easy to see why we can't find the toys that we actually want. They've already got a metric butt-ton of crap that no one is buying why buy more now when there's a new movie on the way. It's the same thing that happens every year about this time, and more so in a movie year. Only now it's made worse by the horrible product lines that hasbro already had out.

What really boggles my mind is why these guys, and Skids etc aren't available on any of the normal web outlets. Did they only make five of each figure? I think the best we can hope for is another Windcharger/Grapple scenario where we see them in the summer finally at discount stores.

When all is said and done I would really love for some one at Hasbro to explain their distribution strategies because I'm just completely lost as to why they seem to hate making money.

Except for we never saw Rumble and Frenzy in Hasbro packaging before nor did Hasbro ever have Rumble and Frenzy on display at a convention suck as BotCon or SDCC like we saw with Swerve and Cosmos last summer.

I wouldn't panic about this until you see Age of Extinction figures on the shelves. If they're not out by May, I would worry. I'm expecting them to be part of retailers' spring/Easter reset.

However, the lack of preorders anywhere worries me a lot. I really hope this doesn't mean they may become the latest 'Cancelled Wave Casualties'. Years later we still have no Scout Rumble & Frenzy, and I'd hate for the same thing to happen to these guys.

Except for we never saw Rumble and Frenzy in Hasbro packaging before nor did Hasbro ever have Rumble and Frenzy on display at a convention suck as BotCon or SDCC like we saw with Swerve and Cosmos last summer.
But they were going to make Scout Class Demolition Rumble for the Reveal the Shield line:

So your saying we will see them at target after they reset there shelves soon???? But isn't this what happen to rts rumble and frenzy ..... We waited and waited and they never made it to the states. I really want these figures but I don't want to pay $68 for this 10.99 figures

We weren't going to get Frenzy (or "the red and black one"), just Demolition Rumble, who himself was ultimately canceled, having only made it to a few packaged samples instead of mass production.
