But why couldn't they give the hands/feet/chest piece that silvery sheen, like they did with the wave4 figures? May have to swap them out

Here me out, this is why:
1) The Firetruck torso is the best since it gives very beefy legs and proper proportions, plus a good broad chest. Superion has skinny thighs that are good with me but are still a wee bit too small but still good proportions overall. truck mold has weird thighs and proportions.
2) Balance of limbs: Superion has a great set of limbs that make his combined mode look amazing and sleek, as he should be. Truck mold has weird shoulders that don't flatter the arms and the legs are just too long. firetruck mold has proper thick and shorter thighs that when the legs are added work out. And the Legs on Bruticus are nick and thick, and while they do not provide knee pads the combiner does not have robot mode feet to hide and the legs dont have lots of kibble on the lower legs that make it look strange (like breakdown).
3) arms: Superion would win this category with his twin jet arms. Defensor would lose this since he has a skinny and bulky arm, and the hands look strange on the car molds for arms and much better on the planes. Bruticus has planes for both arms, giving him sleeker arms that match the hands better.
Overall, Bruticus wins because he has excellent proportions, lack of kibble, solid legs, sleek arms that match the hands, bulk, beef and yet he can be sleek where he needs to. and he does not have any robot mode feet obtrusively sticking out that need hid. Superion would win if his thighs were a bit thicker and the back kibble was slightly better. Any combiner with the truck mold would need a whole new torso. Defensor would win if it weren't for Blades compared to the rest and the large torso robot mode feet (which kills victorion since she cannot hide those), and Sky Reign I cannot judge yet, but I still feel Bruticus is the best overall

I agree, but - unless there is some catastrophic engineering flaw in sky lynx a'la brawl - Sky Reign is my hands down winner because: Angry Egyptian God Combiner; of course any repaint we get would immediately supersede Sky Reign, but I doubt we'll be seeing one of those

It's like I said: gotta wait for him before I can rank him next to Bruticus, but of the 5 and all the repaints of ones to come, he is the best to me

He might be one of the few perfect figures ever, along with cosmos (I guess, haven't got one, but heard good things), and Blackjack; huh, they're all legends class...
Would definitely get another one if a repaint ever gets released individually

I can tell you the legends Cosmos was the best that there ever has been. He is a great figure and I love him to death

Well the legit rumors (thus far) for next year have a remold for cosmos slated for release, definitely gonna get him (plus he's a I think)

The only thing I don't like about the mold are those rockets on the back of the gun. They look fine in gun mode, but in robot mode it looks like he has guns on each arm, plus his other gun arm which altogether looks a little off.
Still a great looking figure.
Those pics got me thinking, has anyone tried to get their combiner to hold legends Megatron?

I assume they've gotten a small stock in and I just happened to order him early enough to be part of it. That's what happened with my other Combaticons.

I just hope he wont be TT exclusive. There isnt any rhyme or reason to it anymore. Its been 3 UW figures that are for everyone, and 3 Exclusives. Some had new stuff Hasbro didnt have and others not. So its a toss up.

Bruticus deserves a mass release TT wise. Really praying with two fingers crossed.

But you know, you get hit less if he is since you can just go to robot kingdom and not have to pay the outrageous shipping fees America would have to pay, right?

Looks like you are going to have to wait on that. By the pace Takara is going, the Combaticons will most likely be released sometime in the middle of next year. My guess is Takara will detail these figures to look exactly like their G1 brethren, and possibly make Ruination repaints.

We even showed you the video of all of them, including the rest of the Stunticon team, united and combined. Now, for your viewing pleasure, we offer the full gallery experience for each of the remaining team members: Blast Off the jet-not-shuttle, evil Alpha Bravo Vortex, new dudicus Brawl, and Swindle. Such a good deal!

Good galleries, though! my Onslaught gets here tomorrow, I can't wait to finally have Bruticus! How was your Brawl's torso, by the way? Did it hold well or did you have problems with looseness?

Thanks for the compliment, Autobot Roadburn!
As for Brawl, his waist didn't bother me anywhere near as much as his very short forearms which made it impossible for his elbow to bend when holding the larger combiner appendage as a weapon.

The waist on my Brawl seems to hold firm enough so I made my peace with it.
However, at this point, there is just no excuse for a tank turret that can't turn. The very first Brawl had one. This is just lame.

Please rest assured that this G2 Slingshot won't break like the old one did. For those who don't know, the original G2 Slingshot suffered from heavy breakage with minimal wear due to the fragile gold tinted plastic he was made of, referred to as Gold Plastic Syndrome (GPS). That is why you will find no video review of the original G2 slingshot being transformed. Actually, I take that back because Seibertron has something special for you all. Below you will find an actual clip of Seibertron himself transforming G2 Slingshot without it crumbling to dust (which I believe was one of Hercule's 12 labours). Having this nice whole Slingshot also lets us bring you some full comparison pics between the new Combiner Wars G2 Superion and the original G2 Superion, something else you probably won't ever come across. You can get to the galleries of any character by clicking the pictures where you will also find comparison pictures to the original G2 version of every character (yes, even G2 Slingshot). If any of you are curious, Seibertron even has full galleries of the original G2 toys.
Generations Combiner Wars Superion
Generations Combiner Wars Silverbolt
Generations Combiner Wars Quickslinger
Generations Combiner Wars Air Raid
Generations Combiner Wars Skydive
Generations Combiner Wars Firefly
Generations Combiner Wars Powerglide
And here is Seibertron transforming the original G2 Slingshot without it falling apart.

Combiner wars continues to be great with possibility I don't understand the complaints
When I eventually atart buying Combiner wars I'm going to re-purpose G2 Superion into a new team to go alongside the normal Aerialbots they will be named after the Air Tean from Energon.
G2 Silverbolt will be Storm Jet
G2 Airraid will be Treadshot
G2 Skydive will be Terradive
G2 Fireflight will be Windrazor
G2 Slingshot will be Skyshadow
G2 Powerlgide will be Overcast
And the six of them will combine into INFERION!

Scattershot is high on my list along with the small handful of other legends that I need to do. I was going to try to do him when I did unite warriors superion and go superion this week but decided against it for now.

If you have Scattorshot how are the plastic colors on him I'm worried Scattorshot might end up looking or feeling like a bad knockoff.

I remember browsing your Bruticus gallery and being a little disappointed that you didn't do any photo's of the alternate scheme (aka brawl and swindle as arms, etc.) is this something you could try doing for him, or others?
Like not a lot of photo's, but maybe a couple at the end...
