The very first Transformers figures for the Titans Return line appeared during the tail-end of Combiner Wars, with Buzzsaw - now, with our newest toy galleries, we delve back into the current line, and its Legends class, with Soundwave's other cassette minions: Rumble, Ravage, and Laserbeak!

Rumble continues the age-old diatribe about the colouring, for some, as is presented in a small, black and red tank and tablet modes alongside his robot one; Ravage also shares a tablet mode, but couples his cat-like stealth to a jet mode; Laserbeak swoops in with another variation of the spy tablet, and a questionable spiky armored vehicle mode. And of course, all of them are compatible with Soundwave by fitting into his chest - check it out by clicking on any of the images below!

Good question. I also thought the little tank modes of Laserbeak and Rumble could drive on his base mode ramps.

Just went through a review to double check in case for whatever dumb reason they couldn't go in; but no, they do.

You know, I'd be fine with the Ravage/Stripes mold if they did something with those side panels. You really don't see them from the side so it looks like he has decent proportions, but any other angle and those side panels make him look, how did someone put it, like a table? It just throws him right off.

I have stripes. Not a fan. But I'm shocked by how much I like the look of Ravage. Still not a great mold, but he pulls it off much better.

So what figures are sized correctly to be able to hold any of the "minions" as a tablet or phone in that mode? Maybe Metroplex/Fort Max?

They look cool, but being on a budget, I really can't justify getting them when I already have the MP squad, I'll try to get the Autobot counterparts instead so that my Soundwave and his minions can have rivals :)
Might try to get Ravage, though, you know, MTMTE and Roberts are to blame for this one :-(

If anything, Fortress Maximus can hold Blaster and Soundblaster by their handles

Also...coreect me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time we get a minion compatible Soundwave that does NOT include any minions at all? WFC didn't come with any either, but there weren't any made for him, even Prime Soundwave came with either Ravage or Laserbeak, even if they were simple.

wfc wasn't compatible if I remember correctly

Yeah. WFC had no minions and wasn't compatible with any. I have FoC Soundwave (and minions) and he's kind of my "Generations" Soundwave stand-in for the moment. Not a bad size being a voyager and the minions are also nice to have too. Just he's a Cybertronian car instead of a stereo, but with fiddling he could be a Cybertronian stereo.

I know WFC didn't include any cassettes, but he wasn't MEANT to anyway, Leader Soundwave DOES have Cassetticon compatibility, but didn't include ANY minions at all! That's definitely a first, in G1, he came with Buzzsaw(reissues either changed or added, but he never came alone), Cybertron came with Laserbeak, Animated came with Laserbeak, Generations also came with Laserbeak and the MP ALSO came with Laserbeak. Even the Human Alliance came with Laserbeak! Prime came with either Laserbeak or in BH's case, Ravage, the satellite one included a missile that was supposed to be Ravage as well, even the WST one included a cassette!

Yeehaw! A gallery for the new Trypticon! Cityformer, Megamaster, Ravager of Worlds... survivor of the failed Great Push, in which he was badly injured and lost his T-Cog, and after which Full-Tilt volunteered to become a kind of Powermaster to serve as a replacement for his large friend's destroyed T-Cog. Eventually, becoming reconfigured and mode-locked in starship mode, Trypticon became the starship Dinosaur, crewed by Predacons and the odd Maximal around the time of the Grand Uprising. His final known fate, after nearly crash-landing on the last colony world of the ancient Logicon race, Metascan Omega, his body was reconfigured once more into his city mode, in which he finally lay to rest on Metascan Omega as Dinosaur City, a safehaven free of both the tyrannical oppression of the Builders of Cybertron and the harsh warfare of the Grand Uprising taking place on Cybertron. A city where Maximal, Predacon, Cyberdroid, Micromaster, Macromaster, Megamaster, and anyone else could peacefully coexist without any discrimination or resentment. Ironic that such a place could have been brought about from the remains of a vicious war criminal.

Yes I saw that. What I had in mind is my imagination running wild...

Take a video of this if you dare...Take all the titan masters you have, put them in the cereal box. Pour the titan masters into Trypticon's mouth with his front panel open.....

When I said "like Astrotrain" I meant them getting an update in general, I didn't say anything about wanting them to all be leaders. Besides, I'm a fan of the voyager sized leaders. It keeps my collection in scale.

Really wish everyone would give the "but they're VoYaGeRs!" a rest... they're *in scale* and Has/Tak has to fill out the price ranges some how. I don't think that the accessories (especially for the much de-cried Shockwave) were that underwhelming. The fact that Astrotrain has a dock/launchpad and otherwise connects with the up-coming Earthrise A.I.R. Lock system... I think folks will be pleasantly surprised (like most that actually bought Shockwave).

This is true, they only have about 6/8 voyager slots that can be filled pretty fast, especially with repacks to make sure everyone gets what they want.

It's also been proven that there's more plastic going into the new leader Class figures even if they are small in stature.

Honestly, we've just gotten too used to leader as a size as much as a price point. If Hasbro had released the new figures with the same price point and a different class name, very few would have batted an eye.

Following up with our recent galleries of the Titans Return Decepticon Triple Changers, we have their Japanese-market counterparts from Transformers Legends! These figures were released in Japan as part of the Legends line, which was a set of figures released under the Generations imprint in the U.S., but with premium paint jobs and often, more cartoon accurate paint. This would be one of the last lines Takara would do with decos that differed from their Hasbro counterparts, before the brand unification that sees all figures released between both markets with identical tooling and decos.

Additionally, two of these figures, Blitzwing and Octane, came with Big Fight (a redeco of Titan Master Ramhorn's vehicle) and Titan Master Ghost Starscream, respectively.

Please enjoy these high quality galleries from the hands (and camera) of Seibertron himself and start tuned to Seibertron for upcoming galleries of Siege Ratbat, Rumble, Rung, and the fifth Ghostbuster, Ectotron!

I really dig my Octane w/ Murk and Ghost Starscream and I wish I had picked up Legends Blitzwing when I saw a good price but I do not like that Astrotrain. Not a fan of the train mode at all, neither on Astrotrain nor on Nemesis Prime. I just don't see what everyone else does in that figure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For that particular Nemesis Prime, it was a *lot* of folks update for Scourge from RiD200/Car Robots (admittidadly the TGS exclusive RTS/HftD Laser Prime repaint was pretty good). Combine that with the Baldigus repaint of Combiner Wars Bruticus and you had the best articulared representation of the decepticons from that show.

As for Astrotrain, I think it was more for the color representation and the fully painted head. The shuttle wasn't bad with actual paint on it. The cybertronian train was very reminiscent of the Omega Supreme half from Energon.

I think he meant sentinel safetycone prime

Yeah that was my impression as only Sentinel Prime was redecoed from the Astrotrain mold. I was impressed that they went back to IDW Stormbringer for the design of TR Astrotrain, it was really good to see.
