No pics because I'm not aware of the feature. Can you let me know what I'm missing?

Forth's an amusing little roly poly gremlin, though.

I have his moldmate Back, and he is an awesome little dude. Really kinda cute but also fun too

If not, I guess I will just stick to the first 2 waves and then go with the weapon ones.

I was just going to ask the same thing, but seeing as how Slipstream is a repaint, the energon parts are exactly the same. I'm not sure if it will be possible, unless his lion head armor forms the head of a new animal. In which case, that would be some true technical designing genius, and a lot of forethought.
Additionally...though Swelter is pretty much a repaint of Divebomb, his energon parts on the arms are slightly different. So I guess we wont know until somebody gets these in hand, or Hasbro tells us something.

I though it was really funny and cute.
I hope one of the Hammer minicons is just called "Time".
At least fire the platinum guy before the naming guy,

I just instantly thought of Buck in Ice Age 3 and got a chuckle out of it.

I think these are way better than the arms microns we got before.
How does this look like an octopus (speaking of looking dumb):

But if you liked them, thats cool.

I kinda get the sentiment, at least the microns made epic weapons, if the mini-cons at least had ball-jointed shoulders and thighs, I'd like them way more

Look at that Bumblebee in this pic and it's weapon mode and letme know if it looks epic to you.
hint hint, its not
Also, while the octopus did make a decent pile driver weapon for Frenzy and Rumble, you only got one per figure. I cannot express how much that blows.

As for the naming guys, there are still some seriously terrible names for some of these guys. Lord Doomitron would be bad enough for a Big Bad, but for a Minicon?
Hammer and Anvil on the other hand is great.

It kinda reminds me of armada terradive - who was awesome... til the soft plastic cracked where the claw attaches to the body
They weren't all great, but they were refreshingly different, and they look a lot cooler than the dumb, upcoming sword mini-con and his doofy face chillin' on the side of the sword.

Hammer and Anvil= Blacksmithing. Iron work. Specifically a lot of heat and then brutal beating.

I there a link to those? I have several arms microns and I dont know what I could do with them aside from the space cross bow and a GIANT SWORD!

Indeed. The Wiki has you covered, listing every single official weapon combination (but sadly is lacking in pages and/or pics for some of them) - http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Arms_Micronwilliam-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Arms Microns had all those crazy (sometimes crazy-awesome) weapon combinations with sometimes equally awesome names.

Yes he does.
Also, I want to point something out that may not be known by all. A BIG difference between the TAV insecticons and the Hasbro generations ones is that Takara molded circles in their chests to acomodate the stickers.

Nice to see a fellow whovian.
Well, Takara is simply considering the TAV line a catch all line to issue a bunch of figures. There's animated redecos, older generations figures and these here. I agree that they should be more for the legends line but Takara is marketting for kids here with the interactivity so I guess they think that market is more lucrative for these figures.

Though, the bios given to each Adventure toy peg them as characters native to Adventure's continuity. Adventure Lockdown, for instance, isn't the same guy as Animated Lockdown.william-james88 wrote:Transformers fan wrote:I think they were deigned with Transformers G1 in mind, but why add them to the Transformers Adventure lineup

Yes, definitely but for fans picking these toys up, I dont think they are stopping from buying these because the bios dictate that these insecticons are different characters an thus cant be on their shelves with their other classics toys.
I feel the bio is more of a way to incorporate these toys within the app/continuity rather than the toys being mae to be part of this app/continuity. Similarly to how they did their Legends line. Sure, there is a legends universe where they all fit together, but that's just a cute side extra for fun rather than be a fully developped universe created inorder to sell these toys. What I am saying here is that in both cases, the toys come before the fiction rather than being a product of it.

I guess Takara, for some reason, doesn't want the Legends line to have any figures smaller than Deluxe class anymore. Maybe the Swerve & Tailgate 2-pack didn't do so hot or something.Hellscream9999 wrote:I think the question is: why not release them under the Legends line? Well, TakaraTomy did say they wanted to change directions with the Legends line, maybe that's part of it? Or maybe singles are logistically easier to plan releases for?
At any rate, given that the Legends-sized figure come in twos, how would you have paired them? We have:
Bombshell
Shrapnel
Powerglide
Cosmos/Adams
Blackjack/Runabout
Groove/Override

I'd have either done three VS packs of one Bot and one Con each, or one Insectrons set, one Minibots set, and one VS pack of the Blackjack/Runabout mold vs. the Groove/Override mold.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I guess Takara, for some reason, doesn't want the Legends line to have any figures smaller than Deluxe class anymore. But that still doesnt explain why TAV 31 Black Shadow was not released in the Legends line.
