An upcoming exclusive set featuring "Old Snake" and a pair of Stealth Battle Android Troopers was revealed during the G.I. Joe Collector's Club panel at this weekend's G.I. Joe Con in Springfield, IL. This exclusive "G.I. Joe and the Transformers" set will be sold by both the Transformers Collector's Club and the G.I. Joe Collector's Club.

We are proud to present an extensive gallery of both figures and their accessories. Special thanks to Pete Sinclair for letting me photograph these figures at G.I. Joe Con to share with all of you here on Seibertron.com.

Please note that these figures are production samples. Final products may differ from the items shown in these galleries. Additional information about this set will be available later this year.

This should have been the colors for beast hunters shockwave. I purposely did not pick it up because the color scheme was so bad :/

Soundwave just looks so badass in that deco. I'd buy it if I had a place for it. Still visually appealing, though.

Ditto, it's fantastic looking, but I personally wouldn't have the use for such an expensive figure, although if this ends up going down the price drain like Circuit did, I'd snag it.

Seibertron was at G.I. Joe Con and we are proud to present an extensive gallery of the first revealed Botcon 2015 figure Packrat! We get up close and personal with the blue rodent, and notice he still keeps Battletrap close by and that we have MUCH more coming for you in the future! *wink*wink*

Special thanks to Pete Sinclair for letting us photograph these figures to share with all of you here on Seibertron.com. Please note that these figures are production samples. Final products may differ from the items shown in these galleries. Keep scrolling to see them, and don't let your optics stray to far as there's more on the way!

The blue on the rat doesn't do it. Battletrap, however, looks far more awesome then I thought he would.

I think packrat is a little too, vanilla, I think it's because of how primary he is. Personally, I find that the 97 version looked allot more glossy, mostly due to the plastic, than this ones' mat blue finish. Also Batlletrap's head, looks tiny, sort of. It's a little out of proportion and small, club standard issue, but it wouldn't look that bad if springer/sandstorm's neck weren't so long.
Image
Also i'm going to guess the the blocked out figure is either SG Ricochet or whatever they're using breakdown for. You can not confirm nor deny it!

To be fair it's A.M silas breakdown as neo classics/prime/aligned(?)bark at the moon, hobo with a shotgun megatron. Speculated. It's speculated to be the hobo with a shotgun. So, hey, at least its not the what 5th club figure starring breakdown as breakdown. Well until the club gets it's hands on CW breakdown.

And I'm betting it's a matter of time untill they do G2 Defensor and Menasor. I'm betting in about a year.

I think the Battletrap head is a fine size - looks to be about the same size as Springer's head, at any rate, and that works fine. Fine fine fine.

Hopefully, the neck issue is just a matter of perspective/photo angle...

I want to like Battletrap, I really do, it's a great way to homage the Duocons, but I can't not see Mirage when I look at him. The paintwork needs to be LESS uniform.

Springers head is slightly wider and set lower by like a millimeter

I can see Battletrap's head being set a bit higher, but the width looks about right.
Re: New Galleries: Old Snake and Stealth Battle Android Troopers from the Transformers Collector's Club (1674999)
Posted by Sabrblade on April 13th, 2015 @ 10:58pm CDT
Comparing my Springer in hand to the previous two pics, Springer's head seems wider mostly because of the two spikes running along the sides of his cheeks towards the back of his head, which slightly angle outward from both the left and right sides of his head. Without those spikes, his and Battletrap's heads appear to be roughly the same width.

As for how high the head is set on the neck, the Battletrap pic seems to have the head tilted all the way up to let the head look forward for a better shot of it from the camera, whereas the Springer pic has the head slightly tilted down forward to give the impression of it being lower. But in reality, Springer's head can be tilted just as high up as Battletrap's head is as seen in the first pic.

In other words, both heads are pretty much the same width and same height placement.

Both figures appear to have a number stamped on their (robot) face in gold. Is that because these are prototypes, or is that part of the figure design, like some obscure reference?

To those who noticed that something is off with Battletrap's head, there does appear to be something off. The pics that will be in my gallery look like the head isn't pushed down all the way on the ball joint or something like that. I didn't notice it while I was taking the pictures and I don't have the figure in hand to see if it's something that can be fixed or adjusted. In the photo below, you can clearly see that there is clearance underneath the head.

DSC05979.jpg

It seems the bottom of Springer's head is flush with the top of his neck, whereas there is clearance on Battletrap's upper neck where you can see the bottom of the ball joint. Hopefully this can be corrected with an easy fix or adjustment to the final figures.

The gracious Pete Sinclair of Funpub gave us access to some of this years exclusive figures to show off to our followers. Battletrap has already received some attention today, but being the demanding fellow he is he's grabbing us once more. He tries to hold on to his G1 Duocon heritage, incorporating the helicopter/all-terrain-vehicle/robot from his predecessor Generations Springer. So you had the seekers first and enjoyed them for over a year before Takara gave everyone else a chance to enjoy them ? :-?

Ever checked the ebay prices on Dreadwind and Bugbite ? I paid $300 and $160 and the prices haven't gone down. You got your moneys worth.

Botcon Dreadwind went up when the Renderform add on set became available for TRU Darkwing. Everybody wants the pair. Mastershooter Collectibles also did a very limited run of targetmasters for them in the colors of the G1 Powermaster figures.

Botcon has the worst marketing strategy ever. They should just reveal everything including the convention exclusives the day before registration goes live. They should be like "this is what we got, come n get it". My favorite reveal will be when the exclusives start showing up on Taobao a month before the convention.

Kind of a plain Jane figure. The bike looks cool, not calling it Afterburn is awesome, 'cause then he can be something else-- in combiner wars. Not that he couldn't be in both spots. One more for the GI joe and Transformers set.

I haven't seen it myself, but I've seen TFWiki refer to the figure as Afterbreaker on Twitter and apparently the April/May club mag does as well. Possible the name Afterburner was unavailable and had to be renamed. Still better than some of replacement names we've seen recently.
