Kind of bums me out that Lockdown isn't a deluxe that unfolds into a voyager. If there was any deluxe that could have used the extra engineering and development dollars, it's Lockdown.

That's not to say I think the AoE figure is bad - just saying.

This is one ugly figure I won't be getting. The car is cool, but the face is just ugly. Saw it at target a few times, wanted to get him but ended up putting it back. Maybe a leader class with a helmet face...even then I will leave as car mode. Such a waste of licensing product

Yeah, I find him a little underwhelming. I'm glad he has the gun face option but he needs more weapons and the flip down mask like in the movie.

His expression is a little too docile too. It looks strange.

I really like Voyager Class Slog, especially in dinosaur mode which is considerably (and surprisingly) larger than G1 Sludge. The robot mode is OK. It looks pretty cool if you are into the movie aesthetics. There's something weird with his back/mid section where it plugs in where it seems to come undone fairly easily. Other than that, the only issue I really have with it is that the wrists don't turn. He comes with two giant lances but he is a challenge to pose with the lances unfortunately. I ended up liking it best with the lances attached to his upper back behind his head and using the shoulder blasters like hand guns.

I'll get Lockdown if I happen to see him. But, as it stands, my only concern at this point is Generations. Slog is a pass, and while Drift looks cool (his swords are especially forged in kickassery), I am in no need for him. It was a missed opportunity to just heavily modify Generations Springer. He may had been out of scale with the rest of the Autobots, but it would've been the best solution. >:oP

Deluxe Lockdown is pretty good, but he's so small. He actually scales better in both modes, IMHO, with the One-Step Autobot cars (Bee, Drift, Crosshairs) than the Deluxes.

Slog looks like fun, wasn't going to buy him but that pic of him indino mode with one foreleg up and ready to stomp just sold me.

Ryan, in the Slog gallery (super thorough, BTW) there a couple shots of a plastic tub full of AoE toys, what's that?

Yes they both do, which I didn't notice on either of them when I did their galleries. That's pretty cool.

One feature on hasbro that is not on takara, the split lamborghini "logo" is painted in gold on the hasbro lockdown chest, and there is some more silver detailing in the shins. Takara painted eyes kind of look bad

I'm really not getting the folks saying Drift should have been a Generations Springer remold. Really? I can see a Classics or IDW-style Drift coming out of Springer... but AoE Drift? There's no way that mold could have captured the character. Or the cool (and licensed!) car mode.

lockdown looks pretty good but that head sculpt is terrible, whoever though making him look like destro was an idiot. Would rather have the visor mask thing like the 1 step & flip ones have or they couldve stopped being cheap & lazy for a second & gave him a flip down visor. Not sure if id pick him up at full price but on sale i would, right now im waiting for the walmart excpusive 2 packs & maybe rattrap.

Cool design, but badly executed by Hasbro.

He should be very tall and lanky and here he is stubby.

I also really hate those arms we are getting with these AOE figures, all have the arms stuck to an altform panel.

I seem to remember Animated Lockdown being Voyager height...unfortunately,mine is currently packed away to verify. I just remember him being so cool AND tall I felt like he was a great toy for the $$$

That would be cool in the cloud series, but I don't think it would have worked for AOE. I'll take Generations Drift like that however instead of the silly white guy we've been getting.

It might be Labor Day weekend in the States, but the worker bees of Seibertron.com are still busy! Check out the first two Bumblebee galleries this weekend featuring none other than Takara Tomy's Movie Advanced AD27 Bumblebee and AD04 High Octane Bumblebee, the counterparts to the Hasbro Age of Extinction Deluxes. Head back later this weekend for 3 more AOE Bumblebee galleries swarming in.

Not a fan of the line in general. There are a few gems, but it seems most of the figures suffer from lazy design/sculpting.

Seriously why can't we just get normal arms and hands, almost all of them have them stuck to the altform panels. On the new Bee they didn't even bother to paint the hands silver or black to bring them out.

Why not both?
Really, I wouldn't mind seeing both Wasp(inator) and Stinger become semi-obligatory "evil" repaint/retools of Bumblebee.

After seeing the Takara version of the 2014 camaro concept version of Bumblebee which feature many comparison pics, we get a look an indepth look at the Hasbro version. Unlike the Takara version which is a standalone single figure, Hasbro 'bee comes in a two pack with a redeco version of the Generations Legends Bumblebee. He is also a Toys 'R' Us exclusive. The paint app differences on the Legends Class Bumblebees are very minimal but as an added bonus, the Evolutions 2-pack Legends Class Bumblebee comes with a new weapon for added value. Click on any of the pictures to see the full galleries.

Urgh. I just realized that I mixed up AD02 Evasion Mode Optimus Prime with Hasbro's Evasion Mode Optimus Prime in many of these pictures. You'd really have to mix and match parts from the two figures to make one better version.

Then you'd best be getting the 1 Step Changer since that's the only Pagani Stinger toy that Hasbro's making.

Keep in mind that while Hasbro has no confirmed plans for a Deluxe Stinger, we have yet to hear from TakaraTomy. Even then, they may just repaint Bumblebee and not reshell him at all and release him as an exclusive to boot.

this is actually a pretty good value, for $17 your getting a $15 deluxe ($18 in most places these days) and a $10 mini commander plus its an exclusive so that adds value down the road. And not to mention when AoE bee is sold on its own at mass retail youll be paying $15-$20. The only downside is that its bumblebee and a downsized AoE deluxe. But in the current market its a good deal. On a side note does anyone else think this version of AoE bee would make a good waspinator repaint? The chest has the whole eye thing going for it & the battle mask gives the head an insect look when its down.

Our Bumblebee galleries just keep on rolling because you can never have too much of the 'bee. The next Bumblebee gallery we are focusing on is that of the Age of Extinction Leader Class variety. This new Bumblebee is a repaint of the previous Dark of the Moon Bumblebee with out his massive Mech-Tech weapon. The paint apps have been updated to match his new look in Age of Extinction. Age of Extinction Leader Class Bumblebee is said to be hanging out at Costco. Click on any of the images to see the full gallery.
