I HATE that Prime mold.
But I'll buy it, only for that axe!
WFC Prime will be most pleased!

I said I had gotten bored of Sentinel Prime, but seeing him in the store was too much to resist. I'm glad that I picked him up, coz he is a one of a kind figure. He truely adds the element of time past in my collection, what with the cape, double ended blade/staff, and shield. Premo (sad to hear so many others had QC issues tho, coz mine is near perfect).

It's true about beloved Iron Hide, it's in the Novel, the comic adaptation and the Comic graphic Novel. Apparently in the trailer when Iron Hide smashes into the dreads, it's to block them from getting Sentinel to safety. Once sentinel reaches the NEST base, Iron Hide makes a comment about "that's what friends are all about" Sentinel makes a remark about lies and hoses Iron Hide down from behind with the rusting crap. Then finishes him off with a blast from his cannon. Then Sentinel aims for bumble Bee and Skids takes the blast trying to protect Bumble Bee. The Mudflap tries to take revenge for Skids and he get's blasted like it was nothing. Sentinel then goes back to try and kill Bumble Bee and Sam, and some soldiers shoot Sentinel with a RPG and they get away.
also If you want more pain, Mirage gets killed by Soundwave, Soundwave just rips his head off while they have the autobots imprisoned, no mention in the GN, or comics about Wheeljack dying, and the remaining autobots are Optimus, Rachet, BB, wheelie, Brains, Wheeljack, and Sideswipe. more spoilers bext.
Prime B-heads shockwave, soundwave is crushed by falling debris from the ship Wheelie and brains highjack.
All in all I really want leader Iron Hide.

krenger99 wrote:I was thinking of getting leader class Ironhide but won't know for sure until I have him in hand. I thought I was gonna buy Sentinel but passed due to 1) him being more pink than fire engine red and 2) the fact that he looks ridiculously not complicated up close. I don't like how they've dumbed down leader class so that kids have an easier time with them. They should have left them challenging, given the size and price.
He is fairly complicated in regards to transformation, and the way the legs and chest assemble are very cool, if not for the arms being the most simple part, but everything works on him, the way the panels form the cape, the feet are awesome with how they come together. The only truely worth while figure from the DOTM line, if you ask me... although Ironhide does look cool, I have no need for a black movie ironhide, especially at that scale. Leader Class Sentinel Prime is a very complex figure for the average Transformer buyer. I'd put it in the same category of difficulty as ROTF Optimus Prime.

kibble everywhere?? you're kidding right? he's got a couple panels on his arms. and so what if the transformation isn't a giant messy puzzle.. you're going to skip out on one, if not the best figure of the line so far just because of a couple panels on his arms that aren't even all that noticeable when you have him in hand? .. you're missing out big time. leader ironhide is awesome. very awesome. it puts all of the voyagers and deluxe to shame. you should at least give him a try, then return it if you don't like it.
i got mine at costco for $35. i love it.
SlyTF1 wrote:I can't wait for Ironhide! I got the Voyager Prime mode last night and he's not bad. I think he's the best Voyager Optimus we've gotten. His feet are so accurate! But I will get this one just for the axe.
voyager primes feet are "so accurate"? not really. leader primes feet are SOO accurate. the voyager has the proportions all wrong.
it's a shame they couldn't have just tweaked the hftd voyager prime mold a bunch and given us that.. like add his new parts and try to improve upon that design. i really just can't bring myself to like voyager prime.

That's a hell of a reason not to buy a toy. 2007 Optimus didn't look like his CGI version, nor did 2007 Starscream (bearly). Almost half of the figures of the bayverse line don't come 70% close to the CGI apperance.
A reasonable determination is on articulation (and kibble amount, I guess), accuracy on how you want the figure to look, and so on. I understand this is your method, and that second reason came close to it, and I don't want to change that. It's just not the best method. Do whatever you want, though. Have a nice time toy hunting

It was Starscream that killed Mirage. Soundwave uses his head as a puppet to torture Bumblebee. As for Wheeljack, um...well, do you want to be spoiled? If so, I'll tell you.
As for Soundwave...no. He's not crushed. That too, I will tell you, but only if you want to be spoiled.
Now, onto the main topic...
I have no desire to purchase the Optimus Voyager mold. Blech. Sentinel just isn't done justice by anything but the Leader Class. It's an excellent figure.
As for Ironhide...he's awful in Leader Class. I think it's great they went for ease so kids could enjoy him, but he's pretty simplistic, and waaaaay out of scale. Not to mention his colors are just awful. He's an easy pass for me. Kinda sad though, I was looking forward to him at one point. =\
