Well, i'm impressed. They managed to take (my personal opinion) a failure like the Starscream figure, and make it into an even bigger failure!

No kidding. Whether or not he's mistransformed, I don't really care. He's terrible. Both Optimus molds look good, are there any remoldings on the voyager? I never did pick that one up.

The Optimus Voyager mold looks pretty much unchanged.. maybe slightly different paint apps here and there.. like the Autobot insignia on the side of the truck cab..
I cant make my mind up about that Starscream though.. the paint looks pretty cool.. I see some Cybertronian glyphs and things in there.. be pretty interresting to see what thats all about..
For now I think ill reserve judgement until some more photos surface..

A nice paint job isn't going to save a figure with bowed legs.

I might skip the voyager Prime and go straight to the Leader class.
Starscream kinda interests me because of his alt mode. It seems that they were able to finally reconcile the fact that F-22s keep their armaments inside. I might get this just for the alt mode.

I still hate the design for movie Starscream. Low-slung arms and chicken legs, it's revolting. Starscream should look sleek and fast. That said, this figure is a vast improvement over the first movie figure, simply due to the addition of HANDS.

Thats true Burn.. Im in the process of repainting the previous Starscream mold.. and in comparison this new ones legs are not only tiny.. but pretty odd looking.
...that said it may well be dodgy camera angle or hasbro-brand mistransformation..

Starscream is an improvement over the old voyager version. I can't figure out how he can walk properly with his leg arrangement though. The old one had better legs. Still, the alt mode looks awesome!
But there is already an alternator-styled movie Bumblebee. What's next? A masterpiece-styled movie Starscream! If such a thing shows up, this one would again be looked down upon.

THe addition of hands is very welcome. I think the legs are a mistransformation.
And now we know what this mech-alive thing is all about.
But I'm cursing hasbro for releasing an identical Ironhide with decent weapons...

This is the old voyager Prime so not impressed. The Starscream is the same as the previous version but with no arms and they put some gimmicks in his chest. When looking at the bigger picture it says the missile launchers pop out of the arms, so i am hoping this figure will have fingers that are functional. If this is the case i'll buy him for sure.

I'm gonna give in, I just know it.
I'm gonna give in and buy that Starscream, even though I told myself it wasn't gonna happen considering I have the original, which I happen to like just fine, but this one seems to have all of the pieces we were missing the first go 'round, and he looks really good.
Ironhide on the other hand, it seems all they did was change his weapons (they're more accurate, of course) but it's not enough to warrant a purchase. (Though I'll most likely be proven wrong when we see the figure and find out he does something amazing.)
Leader Prime is a must buy. Seems to be a fully accurate transformation this time around.
Voyager...no. Left him the first time, gonna keep on truckin' when he hits the shelves.

No, it's a totally new mold upon close inspection. And yes he has fingers.

Too me, Prime looks the same from the first toy, maybe different paint here and there and you would think to give him different weapons as well, like the energon sword or something different really cool! anyway, i agree that starscream looks kinda cool and really like the idea of him having fingers unlike before and i would say yes that he is mis-transformed! I'll just wait for soundwave and the constructicons in May.

These do look pretty cool, but they are not different enough from the original Starscream, Prime, and Ironhide to warrant another purchase.
My general rule is not to buy more than one version of each character per line unless something is too spectacular to pass on.

The leader class Prime is the only one worth buying. I'm Gonna display my old one in alt mode next to it
.
Ironhide is not changed enough, but I'll end up buying him anyway.
Starscream still sucks, but I am a sap and will give all of my money to Hasbro in exchange for a dozen figures that I already own...
I suppose someone has to keep the American economy going...

Holy crap, I love Starscream. Any issues I had with his movie design, I came to accept with the first film, so his look no longer bugs me. But his new toy looks spot on to the CG model, and he has hands! And I'm diggin' the Allspark glyphs, and his jet mode actually looks like a jet!?!?!?!
I'm really excited for this new version, so much so, I'm kinda regretting plunking down money on the original from the first film just recently
(didn't have him).
Prime, PASS. I have the original voyager, and this repaint sucks. What did he need an Autobot symbol slapped on the side of his vehicle mode for. And Ironhide is a pass too, the original is superior and I already got it.

Figures, they give Starscream hands and a better looking alt mode and... people still hate it. I think it looks a lot better than the last, kinda why I held off getting so many of the first line. No matter what they (Hasbro) say I bet we get everyone that was in the first movie PLUS the new guys. Devy is worth it though

I'll expect a full review out of the box before making a decision. The changes made to Starscream are well appreciated, this is how the figure should have looked in first place. Hands ! And the feet look different too. However i guess it would be better to see him in person.
It seems that the first half of ROTF will be about Starscream and his new band of Decepticons. THAT CAN'T BE COOLER !

The detais on SS are better, especially the head. However, the old addage applies: you can put a fresh coat of paint on a turd... but it's still a turd. They'd better have a leader version in the works.

Good grief. Starscream has been designed by someone who's actually seen an F22! I might pick this one up. Voyager Prime is probably a miss. First Strike is the best version of that mold.

Starscream was already a poor mold, who wants a WORSE version with a new pointless gimmick? The only cool things is the weird space tribal detailing, and that the bio sounds to be semi-referencing Starscream's Reign.
But over all, two retools I can skip in favor of the new figures. Yay.

Of all the stuff revealed today, this is the one I'm most interested in. Voyager BB? Yeah, that'll scale well with the other toys. Ironhide? Didn't think much of the mold to start with, new weapons don't address any issues with it. But Starscream actually looks like someone paid attention to what was wrong with the first one.

Starscream has a cooler alternate mode, but I'm hoping the robot mode has some kind of mistransformation to it. You can't judge box art with all the mistransformations, photoshopped paint apps, or unrleased versions. I'll wait and see I geuss.

I don't know if any one answered this question at all as my net is being really slow. The markings on this star scream are from the "reign of star scream" comics where he marks him self with the markings of the all spark. Not only this but I must admit that with them FINALLY fixing star scream hands. The first one had stupid over sized hands and now this ones is more accurate. Not what i would like to see considering they put the stupid missle launcher in the middle of the hand it would of been better if it re attached to the side of the arms but any ways. The bot is fat and that's just dumb

I have to vent this out: ROTF Starscream is NOT a repaint nor a retool of the first Movie Starscream. He's a new mold with a new transformation.
The most obvious things to notice are the hands. They're much more CGI accurate. But another thing is that his legs are formed differently in that they are from the middle of the jet between the back tail-fins, instead of the first toy's legs being under the jet.
The tail-fins are different as well in that, instead of being on balljoints, they're actually on hinge/swivel joints.
Furthermore, the automorph gimmick from the first toy seems to be abandoned for the new MECH ALIVE gimmick, which will make his inner gears move when you turn his head.
That being said, I will buy the toy because he's not only more CGI-accurate, but a new toy as well.

im not really an autobot guy, unless its got an AWESOME alt mode.
as for starscream although he is a bad design he is still starscream, he cant always look the same and some versions will be better than others and some will be worse, anyway liking the the tattoos lol, and the altmode looks more like an f-22 this time so ill have this one for the alt mode.

i may get Starscream, but only to display in vehicle mode. i like F-22's, and this F-22 looks waaaaaay better than the one for the toy for the first movie.
