We had a lot of listings for next year's Legacy releases from JTPrime17 and now we have some for the Studio Series line. Next year will basically be Rise of the Beasts toys and toys from the War for Cybertron game from High Moon. Back in the day, all toys from that WFC game were deluxe class but now there will be some voyagers as well, so we will have a voyager Megatron and Optimus. While the Rise of the Beasts line proper will be kid centric, we knew we'd get more collector friendly Rise of the Beasts toys in the Studio Series line, like when the Bumblebee movie came out. Below you will see listings with code names THAT MEAN NOTHING but there are some like Wheeljack and Rhinox that we now know we are getting.
We already knew we'd get the 86 core Ironhide and voyager Ratchet but now we see their listings amongst their possible wavemates.
For anyone seeing that it means next year would have little Bayverse well, firstly, we are getting the core class DOTM Bumblebee as we knew we'd get when we saw Laserbeak. And, secondly, as you can see with the labelled TF7 listings, Hasbro does consider the ROTB movie to be a continuation of the live action films' legacy, regardless if it may make sense to fans or not. Basically anything live action is Bayverse according to them.
Lastly, unrelated to anything Studio Series, JTPrime17 also found a listing for RED Soundblaster.
The screencaps come from HyperShauta.

Though it would be terribly amusing if Hasbro just reissued the Netflix line in Studio Series boxes...

Until these are officially revealed this is my assumption too. It's been like five minutes since a reissue of Siege Megs and OP, time for another

Very interesting. I own the originals form the Rage over Cybertron boxset in translucent plastic, and they definitely do need an update.
Specially Prime. That is one convoluted figure to transform.
Interesting that Barricade is now getting a figure, being that he was only an NPC in most versions of the game, and only playable in the Nintendo Ds version but never actually got a toy in the original line.

I hope we get more movie designs and if they are bringing the games designs, the gives me hope that the Movie games characters have a chance too.

The idea of getting movie game figures is the silver lining of this whole thing for me, there’s no reason we couldn’t get guys like Breakaway, Warpath, and Stratosphere from the ROTF/DOTM games now

He did get a toy in the Siege line though
I honestly didn't bother with the Netflix toon to see if he turned up in there however.
But yeah, I concur with Sabrblade, Barricade was playable on level 1, it was only the DS version that had to unlock him.
Opening the floor to tf video games does mean the drones from the first live action can get toys again

If they were just rereleases they would be labeled as package refreshes (potentially even if they had slightly different paint, as shown by Legacy Galvatron and Soundwave), but they don't say that.Dr. Caelus wrote:Are we sure that the WFC Megatron & Optimus aren't re-releases of the Siege figures with Netflix decos? Also why would they need to give Studio Series spots to character designs from a series that just ended, already got a whole trilogy that just ended this year and an exclusive subline dedicated to it, and took most of it's models directly from the CAD files of the figures so they aren't inaccurate?

If SS can deliver, I'd be so buying!

Easy, it's the worst case scenario, where anything else is better.

Was he? Don't remember him at all.
Wait... the Deception Campaign right.
Though it's been a while since I played that game. Would not be opposed to a re-master.

Man, nobody said the Barricade level from Cybertron Adventures for the Wii.

As individual figures, though, the four limb bots were pretty decent in their vehicle and robot modes. It was just their arm and leg modes where they suffered.-Kanrabat- wrote:One team that is definitely worth a redo is FOC Bruticus. It was awesome as a Combiner Wars prototype, but as toys they sucked mighty asses. Especially that deluxe Onslaught.

I do agree that Onslaught was overall pretty poor in all of his modes, though. He would have greatly benefited from being a Voyager instead of a Deluxe.

-Deluxe WFC Cliffjumper
-Deluxe RotB Mirage
-Deluxe RotB Nightbird
Now for those still not convinced which WFC these listings are for, I ask, which seems more likely to be getting a figure here:
-The 3-second-cameo-in-a-video-transmission Cliffjumper,
or
-The Cliffjumper who was the player character for a whole level of FoC, an NPC for at least two more levels, and was in some but not all versions of WfC?

But if it's cell shading which hasbro has a thing for with marvel xmen, two transformers and one whole power ranger it might be a good lead in to getting transformers devastation runamuk/runabout generics and a rerelease of Devy.

There's no need to wonder, we know from insiders that these are toys from the game.

To say nothing of us just getting Siege Cliffjumper in SS as part of the Buzzworthy line. I don't see them going for a hat trick.

SpaceEagle wrote:The inclusion of the High Moon designs into StuSer seems very exciting. A lot of those designs deserved to have physical toys and the ones we did get weren't really that bad but in dire need of a do-over. I'm betting my money that the reason the HMS designs are coming via Studio Series is because someone during a board meeting probably brought up Rise of the Dark Spark; providing the best excuse to do toys from some old game series! It would be funny seeing "Game Universe Optimus Prime" on a box, though.
They wouldn't need an excuse, I mean video games are made by studios after all

I'd like to see what they do with Megs and that jet mode though, and have no real attachment to Devcon.

That is one theory going around, especially when Hasbro said they've got a big announcement with new artwork coming to Pulsecon.

On Monday 9/21 I went into the Target in Tyler, TX and they had a single each of SS Thundercracker, SS Galvatron, SS Sideways, and the SS Bumblebee.
Below is a review of Galvatron and Thundercracker for those who want to know more about the toys.
