Heck even if you had to detach it from car mode position and just stick it onto his arm after wards it would have been better, than having a gratuitous immovable tire there under the car in car mode.

Mirage
Prowl
Wheel Jack
Down Shift
Cliff Jumper
But knowing on how Mr. Bay & Company is I say that this is a new Bot entirely new the the Tranformers-Mythology such as they did with Barricade.
Heck it could even be Barricade in a new ALT Mode. Maybe he got himself upgraded after his fight ended with BB.
But I am pretty sure this will be another new character we dont know about which is why everything is being kept hush, hush at the moment.
But he does look pretty damn cool and I cant wait too see this bad boy on the Silver-Screen.
Also for people wanting to know if the Fallen will have an Earth ALT mode I highly doubt it. See he is of Exscoskeleton Design and is already one of the most powerful transformers in the universe so he wouldnt neeed an ALT Mode also he will have Tentacles also.
But I cant wait too see who the Audi-R8 will turn out to be, but like I say it will most likely be another new Character such as Barricade was.
I was hoping for it to be a new Female Decepticon to be Arcee's rival that would be for a cool fight sequence in the movie.

Actually, Crosswise and all his many repaints(Smokescreen, Movie Jolt, Botcon shattered Glass Jazz and Ricochet) are modeled after the Seat Cupra GT.
Crosswise is based on the Bugatti Veyron, slightly modified to get around VW. larger front end, full spoiler.

I disagree, the front end is markedly Seat Cupra, not Bugatti Veyron:
The Veyron has a decidedly different front styling for the grill, where as the Seat Cupra has the closer square grill look.
Probably they took cues from both cars, but it looks closer to the Seat IMHO.

Those all sound suspiciously like Autobot names.

just a theory...

I know that it doesn't contain the reference that was given, but the designers have mentioned that they were working from the Veyron body when Autovolt was being created.
Keep in mind that both Seat and Bugatti are VW properties and VW has been know to grab bit and pieces from other sections to put together special editions and show cars (just look at the Volkswagen Golf GTI W12)
Not to mention that the Veyron is still the faster, more well know, and more importantly more available.

Actually take a closer look at the toy. There doesn't seem to be a single Audi emblem anywhere an it, And it features an unusually large Decepticon logo on the car. None of the other licensed vehicles from the first film had that...
Remember, Audi, VW and Porsche are all part of the same company. So perhaps they didn't want their name to be associated with violence or whatever excuse they used back when Alts were around.
However I will agree that the alt mode does look very nice. And the exploded chest look in robot mode is also great.

But from the previous concepts, to me, this guy screams BARRICADE.

While the styling of the bonnet is definitely an alteration (at least) of the Veyron's, if you look at the headlights, they are very much like those of the Veyron.
I don't mean to be sticking my nose into business, but I passed over this point and my head just about fritzed at seeing that toy called a SEAT.

Why is this resurrected? And why do you say he's called SEAT? We all know this is Sideways and many of us have him already.
