More Stock Images of Takara Tomy Transformers Legends LG61 Clones, LG62 Windblade, LG63 G2 Megatron

Windblade is an instant buy and I hope the last making her the ultimate for me. She's been replaced already twice. Megatron is a epic win and I'm thinking of making him my Megatron clone.

Finally I have a way to get the Decepticlones without having to buy the box or aftermarket prices. That Windblade face/head looks beautiful, but I still think my Takara Adv Windblade will continue to be my Windblade.

G2 Megs looks sick! Wonder how they'll make him work in fiction.

Windblade looks beautiful and I'm glad they decided to give her an actual sword, plus the Targetmaster (which looks great). Anyone else think her transector looks like some kind of Pteranodon in its alt mode with the way they painted it up?

As for the Clones, I still hate that they're Legends-Class. They should be Deluxes:


If I could get any of them, it'd definitely be Windblade. Alas, it just isn't possible.

I believe they are legends size because this would have been closer to their original toy size, but yeah I understand the feeling. The Jumpstarters were also smaller and were upgraded to deluxe. I think initially it was the idea to have a toy at each different size class by Hasbro for the box sets.

Funny thing is I was half hoping for a BWII Megastorm repaint from Megatron, but this Combat Hero repaint will go well with Laser Prime (making a deal with one of my cousins atm). Still wish it had Megatron Rules on it, though.

Actually I think the prominence of the characters comes into play as well. The jumpstarters are a bit more prominent in the IDW fiction as wreckers, so making them legends would throw them out of scale with their fellow wreckers, so I can see them going deluxe. The clones are not that prominent at all in the current fiction, so legends makes sense there too. Gnaw is another good example. The original toy was more of a deluxe, but in fiction they are basically a generic foot soldier, legends makes sense for the updated figure.

Terrible diistribution at my closest walmart got me mad when I can't find Hot Rod. By the time I found him at a Walmart in Leon Guanajuato when I was on vacation and later on a Target in Orland Park, I gave up on him. Maybe with the Leader Class Rodimus coming soon, I can try to find him again.

I am very excited. SEP is half way over and their release date is SEP. I have a pre-order coming with Legends Hot Rod, Kup, Astrotrain and Hasbro Overlord when they get released. Gonna be a fun day. Legends version are a lot better with almost every figure to me. But I am one of those sicko G1 Sunbow accuracy guys, hehe.

It doesn't seem to happen too often, but when decides to do a unique repaint, the results are usually great! (See Grand Galvatron for further reference.)

Not only repaints, but when they repurpose any mold. legends Lio Convoy from this line is a great example

Of course they come with their regular Headmasters too. The set will have 4 Headmasters total.

nope! the hip ratchets are fine on my version, nor probs with the chest panel or tail

I've seen a couple videos on Youtube comparing Dinosaurer with Trypticon. The toys are virtually identical, but the hip issue appears not to exist in the TT version. Aside form that, and the awesome packaging, one just has to determine for themselves if the $80 price difference is worth it...

I purchased the version just to try to avoid the QC issues. The legs & chest panel have been fine so far. My biggest problem has been putting on all the tiny stickers. I've had him for 10 days & I'm maybe 60% done with the 150 or so labels. Lack of time & age related eyesight deficiencies have not helped the matter. I don't remember Fort Max having this many decals, at least not such tiny ones.

Anyway, before I ramble on for too long, I'll say it was worth it to me to pay extra for the version to purchase a product where I had less to worry about with quality issues, but I can understand why many will go with the version & do one of the leg fixes. Saving the $80 is understandable.

Since we're talking about Trypticon, anyone else hoped we'd get electronics with the Legends version? Like not necessarily a motorized walking feature, but more in the lines of lights and sounds?

Yes. I was very much hoping that - it's why I shelled out the bucks for him.

As it is, I'm a packaging junkie who appreciates differences from Hasbro's packaging, but I wish there were more.

Nah...not really...but just felt kinda cheated when we saw pics of the Legends one with a darker shade on him...more kinda Gigastorm shade to him, then eventually realising that this wasn't the case(when we did get proper pics of what we actually got)

I had my wife apply the stickers for my Fort Max for me. Having a wife with small hands/fingers, a steady hand and knowledge of reading schematics (plus small tools that come in handy), was a advantage to be sure, I already asked her to help with Trypticon once I get it.

Finally had a few free hours this afternoon & I was able to finish LG-43's labels (other than one tiny one that folded over on itself and got stuck to the point it became unusable).

Thank you guys you have given me the peace of mind I was hoping for. I'm gonna return my version and naturally that cash will go towards an amazing Trypticon...'nuff said!

Large clear space with a high-contrast white background, I suppose. I use my (white) cupboard as a background all the time, it makes for a good improvised photography setup in combination with a random articulated desk-lamp I have nearby.

The decision was much easier with Fort Max. If you wanted a more Rebirth accurate Cerebros head, you got the edition. If you wanted a Japanese Headmasters Fortress head & a sword, the version was the one for you. Hopefully, if the next Titan class figure next year is Prediking, the two companies go in different enough directions (at least paint wise) to make the choice easy.

Once upon a time, I despised emoji's, happy faces, ect. I saw them as juvenile. But now I see that we're a society that lives heavily in text, and they help convey emotion and mood.

But there's a lot of things out there that simply encourage laziness. And yeah, this is preachy and annoying. Apologies, I'm just old

There's a fine line between laziness and efficiency.

'Course, my wife correctly identifies where I am on that line all the time...
