But we already got that with 15th anniversary

Two or three years from now won't be a special occasion for Beast Wars, which means there's no reason to think they'd bother, so if they don't make a move this year, I'd be inclined to believe they don't intend to put it on shelves at all.
By your logic we shouldnt have had Generations Rhinox, Rattrap and Waspinator then since it wasnt related to an anniversary. But we did.
It actually was an anniversary, one for the franchise as a whole, and those three fit into the existing price points rather than needing a dedicated shelf space for just the one figure.
I certainly shouldn't have dismissed it as impossible, I'll grant that, but I still believe there's reason to be pessimistic
Now THAT is a true masterpiece.

For those of you waiting for Hasbro to release Masterpiece figures, you're really missing out. Not to mention that Hasbro's recent Masterpieces cost as much, if not more, as the Takara versions with the exception of Grimlock and the Seekers (which I guess just leaves my point with Prowl and Bluestreak).

That's why overnight shipping exists

Nah, I'm just annoyed that Hasbro doesn't seem to care. The Masterpieces don't usually do it for me.
Besides, if/when Hasbro does release a MP figure stateside, how often is there better than 7.3% odds of being able to find it and purchase it? Other than ones like Acid Storm that no one wants, most of them sell out online within a fifteen-minute window, and be it due to distribution or to scalpers or to whatever else, looking for them in actual stores is like trying to find an albino unicorn.
At least, that was my experience. I guess it's been a while though, is it still like that?

Well, they haven't revealed the late-year surprises, so there's a possibility that they could release him within the year if they get enough flak about skipping the anniversary; but I doubt it

That wasn't my question. My question was "When a MP figure does get released stateside by Hasbro, isn't it usually impossible to get one anyhow?"

Multiple faces!!
Articulated fingers!
BOTH SWORDS!!
DUAL ARM CANNONS PROPERLY ORIENTATED!!!
Other than the back of the gorilla feet, this thing is SPOT. ON. I can do without light up features, but as long as it doesn't hinder articulation and the button is properly hidden, I can live with it. I just hope he has a non frowning face as well.
These MP BW are gonna be non transmetal I reckon, since it's the anniversary of season 1. As for why Primal and Megatron, they're the leaders. Stands to reason they will be done first. And they're only going to stick to characters from the show.

Given the morphing involved in the show - this toy is an excellent compromise, from what we've seen.
I'm not really into Beast Wars, but this is a very, very nice toy.

I actually like this guy a lot, I wasn't necessarily sure about picking him up before but now I think he'd look pretty cool next to Optimal Optimus (the only Beast Wars figure I have).

The original toy, and the recent Legends redeco/retool offers an excellent compromise too. If this also represents a compromise, I'm not sure what need it fills, especially in a similar size class.

It was like that for Starscream last year.
griftimus prime wrote:cool but why primal? there has been so many good molds already. how about a cool polar claw or a transmetal? its always optimus or megatron.
Well, they aim to do characters that would sell and be worth the investment of doing the toy. Show characters and leaders are a sure bet of this. I myself much preffer this to polar claw (who's bw toy is totally fine anyways).

Are we sure its multiple faces and not a soft plastic mouth whch can open differently depengin on how much we press on a button?
Articulated fingers!
Do we see them as all seperate? Could it just be like MP 10?
BOTH SWORDS!!
DUAL ARM CANNONS PROPERLY ORIENTATED!!!
how do we know there are two?

My thoughts exactly. While he looks awesome and I am excied at a totally new transformation, the back of those gorilla feet really arent great.

In the picture. You can see in both beast mode shots that he has monkey fur covering his upper legs. It looks like it removes his knee articulation for beast mode, but it does look covered. Seems two pieces that seperate like a clamshell around the knee and swing down onto the lower legs.
I hope not. That sounds weird, and soft plastic would probably look out of place. Especially if it's button controlled. Though I do hope there's a non frowning face.
The fingers look like they have the trigger finger, and all the rest move as one. But they do move. Hence, articulated fingers, not individually articulated fingers.
I meant dual arm cannon as in the cannon is 2 barrelled as it should be, and the barrels are horizontal, not vertical like the original toy. But I hope he has one in each arm. It's a masterpiece, he should do! I could have phrased that better, but I got too excited and started babbling.

I agree: Megatron's Transmetal body was the best looking of the three. So imagine my disappointment when I couldn't save a loose Transmetal Megatron I found for cheap years and years ago.

The Takara version is safe from the ravages of Gold Plastic Syndrome, as it happens.
