Machinima Transformers Power of the Primes Cartoon Full Voice Cast Announced

got dang this has some serious star power behind it. there've been hollywood movies that've had less notable actors in it! but the question remains; will it continue the upward trend that TR set, or fumble back down towards CW?

But can Predaking come out to Samoa Joe's entrance music?

What If Grimlock do this to Primal?

Given how well Samoa Joe does with WWE's terribly written promo scripts, I expect he'll do just fine with this.

Samoa Joe as Predaking? I never saw that one coming. Although I recently read that he was an avid gamer and started off as a dancer. (He is not related to the Rock or Roman Reigns) But I hope he can pull off a raspy G1 Predaking voice. I dont want to hear Predaking start talking more than 5 word sentences.

Considering how different the choices for this series has been, I almost see Optimus Primal being Prime reborn by Onyx. Just saying.

Garry Chalk is based in Vancouver, Canada. These shows use union actors mainly from the Los Angeles pool of voice talent.

Yeah, a few Canadian TF actors have popped up in the Arrowverse. Ty Olsson (Energon Downshift) was the criminal-of-the-week in Episode 2 of Arrow Season 1. Wow that's cool. I did not know that. I used to watch all the "Arrowverse" shows, up until last year. Yeah, I've always known bout the Canadian actor pool since BW, they are a talented bunch, no doubt about that.

I looked her up on google and discovered that she comes from my hometown, which is also the hometown of Peter Cullen

This ^, I was disappointed, not as much as combiner wars but still disappointed. My big thing was, what was Megatronus plan anyway? He already has impressive power so why not do things himself?

Also I can hear the sound of that desk in that gif.

Besides I liked it and with the inclusion of more voice talent it makes it an entertaining show

I liked it because I had fun watching it watching metroplex and trypticon fighting brought up nostalgia

See, none of that was really explained, though. We're forced to make assumptions based on what very little scraps of info and logic that the show actually fed to us, as though it expected us to already be familiar with and understand everything that the show was trying to do with its story, which couldn't be further from the truth. That is not good storytelling.

Being low budget doesn't give it a free pass for being mediocre. Remember that CW was seriously hyped up by its makers as being "the Game of Thrones of animation". They clearly had high hopes for these shows to be top notch works, but the end result makes those high hopes look more like delusions of grandeur if this kind of storytelling is what they think is on the same level as something like Game of Thrones.

Even if they could get the best actors in history, they'd still need good writing and directing behind them. Honestly, they didn't need to get these big name actors involved in order for these shows to be good. The YouTube/lesser-known actors are talented enough to give good performances, Jason Marnocha's Megatron and Jon Bailey's unofficial Optimus Prime videos are proof of that. Had the shows budgeted their money for better writing and directing, CW and TR could have been something really good, or even great. They just needed to shift their focus more onto making the cake--rather than the icing--taste good.

Wow, that was quick! Doesn't seem that long ago I was chortling at Freddery's spoof of CW and we're already nearly at the end!

I just find it so wierd when I read this statement from Hasbro's CEO:

Yeah, I find so many problems with this, not only in the fact that I think its really dumb to say that thse machinima series are done for fans (unlike any other output from hasbro) but saying that it has adult content is really really wrong.

As also announced during the Hasbro Brand Entertainment panel today at New York Toy Fair 2018, Machinima has release via their official social media accounts a new poster for the threequel series in the Prime Wars Trilogy animated series. After Combiner Wars and Titans Return, it's now time for Power of the Primes!

Coming soon from Hasbro and Machinima, the series will see the full cast of the previous series returning, including Mark Hamill as Megatronus, and the addition of Samoa Joe, Ron Perlman, Gregg Berger and more for the final chapter in the trilogy. Calling it now, Primal is going to be some kind of revived/reformatted version of Optimus Prime.

Probably after onyx prime as revived him though I'm curious as to why machima have gone with him being hairy when the toy is him in a more Cybertronian form (I. E. Before the beast wars)

I wouldn't be surprised if he's a reformatted Perceptor especially given Optimus believed Perceptor would be a suitable successor.

Though I'd have preferred not to see Beast Wars characters in the line.

While most of us feel like we're still recovering from the last Transformers Machinima animated show, Titans Return, it is almost time to jump down the rabbit hole again with the upcoming show Power of the Primes. It's because of this that the voice actor for Megatron in Combiner Wars, Titans Return, and POTP, Jason Marnocha, who is widely praised for being one of the highlights of the Trilogy, has started teasing POTP's premier.

Voice talent and art is great in these shows. It's the directing that needs the work, and for the director to have better control over the voice talent. I don't think I've ever seen something where it's the directing that is so blatantly the problem. Well, except for the Star Wars Prequels.
