While waiting for the new Rescue Bots Academy themed toys to come out, Hasbro and Playskool are still releasing product to have toys and the brand present on the shelves. The latest wave is indeed filled with previously released toys but it's another chance for parents or fans to get these molds in these colours.

Scottmus Prime found this wave at Central Islip Target in Long Island, New York. It is made up of :

- Sports car Bumblebee and Blades, both reissues
- Heat Wave in a red racecar alt mode (similar to diaclone Mirage), this is the first time this toy is available outside Amazon.
- ATV Bumblebee, which is a redeco of the ATV Bumblebee that came in the Bumblebee Rescue Team set which included an actual robot griffin Transformer.

Bee's head shape makes him look like Wheeljack on the box, yet he does not as a toy.

Amazon has a new 3 pack available for parents and Rescue Bots fans. The 3 figures in it have all been released before but this gives us another chance to get them. There are slight differences to the previous releases as well. Here is a breakdown of what the 3 pack entails and what is new:

Optimus is the 2011 tooling with a new paint app (white stripe on the chest + logo) and a silver version of the accessory that came with the Energize version.

Heatwave and Chase look to have figures unchanged from their Energize releases, with Chase also having a silver colored accessory as opposed to the clear blue.

They are packaged in a non embellished brown box which has been a trend on these Rescue Bot toys found on Amazon.

The 3 pack is available right now for $44.99.

They're rereleasing the larger scale now? Kind of silly.

The photographers also still can't get correct transformations. Heatwave's feet aren't transformed.

These are larger? That makes sense, I found the price quite high for a three pack

Yep, these are about an inch taller and are have very different headsculpts from the cartoon. But again, why are they rereleasing toys from a cartoon they cancelled? :HEADHURTS:

Yeah, thats the way I see it. Just keeping products available. The show is still on Netflix and can readily be seen and its easy to repackage old product to have it available for any purpose.

Live from the Hasbro floor at San Diego Comic Con, we have our next round of reveal from the Transformers Rescue Bots line! We learn of upcoming blind bag figures similar to the Tiny Titans we got in the Robots in Disguise line. The highlight is a new big bumblebee toy that can interact with a smaller blue bot. We also see a dog robot in a ravage inspired deco along with more flip bots. If you spot other new items, please share it on the boards. This is just the preview night so we will probably get more from Rescue Bots as SDCC continues so keep and eye out on the site!

The Two Dogs are Bumblebee's Partners - the official images of these were previously released.

I wonder if he oil drums and fire hydrant has something to do with the flipbots.

The radial Plane Optimus is unusual as is the Bumblebee Monster Truck - never actually seen a flip bot for sale however so I wouldn't know what was new - they'd all be new to me.

Heatwave racer was spotted a while back but he seems very poorly distributed - but perhaps the refresh wave with blades in will make him more available - there is a brand new Optimus Truck in that wave too that no one seems to notice is new too.

I expect that new Bee to ship soon as he screams X-Mas toy (more than Likely he will be in the new Argos Catalogue)

The radial plane Optimus was allegedly released earlier as part of the Griffin Rock Extreme Team set. However, I don't know if it was ever actually for sale. I never saw it in any stores, nor in stock online. So hopefully we can actually get our hands on this mold now.

Thanks to a sighting from our very own Podmaster of the Podcasters ScottyP, we have a new sighting for a unique toy with one of the greatest names in Transformers history. The new toy in question is Rescue Bots Bumblebee Rescue Guard with his little pals Growler the K-9 bot, and Sergeant Slobber(!!). This set of figures was spotted at the Target in Apex, North Carolina for the price of $29.99. With as long as Rescue Bots has been going, and with the way it plans to keep going thanks to toys and the new Rescue Bots Academy set to come out, it is really cool to see new toys and new character keep finding their way to us.

Of note with this new figure, these are not your normal Rescue Bot sized figure. ScottyP took note of the face that Growler and Sergeant Slobber are about twice the size of the normal Rescue Bots minicons, so these are toys with some mass to them.

Check out the image below, and let us know if you intend to hunt down these Rescue Bots!

SDCC 2018 revealed that we would be getting new Transformers blind bags from Hasbro, specifically from Rescue Bots. Only a few bots were shown on display but now that they have been found in both the US and Canadian Walmarts. The assortment includes 2 of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Heatwave, Blades, Chase, Boulder, Blurr, and Quickshadow. The arms seem to be interchangeable between the two models. These blind bags are $2.88 in the US and $4.94 in Canada.

There is a generous window in the back where you can get a pretty good idea as to which character you are getting. You can always feel around the bag to know which version it is due to the different accessories yielded between the same characters.

The new Transformers: Rescue Bots "blind bags" are out and while they are non transforming, they did have the semblance of a gimmick. Now, thanks to netkid, who posted in hand images on the TFW boards, we have a good look at the arm swapping gimmick this set promotes.

I have both Primes and Blades(I haven't opened him yet).

Boxes have 1 of each figure. Both figures of a character is the same design but each are in a uniquely sculpted pose, so swapping arms between them to get different poses/looks is encouraged.

Each bag has a small clear window to see what figure is inside, if you are looking for a particular one.

It looks like if you made a nice straight and clean cut in the middle of that "arm bar" you would end up with a pair of slightly more pose-able arms, and have more arm mixing options. Which might lead to some fun/interesting combinations.

Thanks to Entertainment Earth, we have news that a new 4-pack of Rescue Bots that include new, more show accurate paint schemes are now available through their site! These figures are larger versions of the original Rescue Bots toys, and include the 4 original show characters, Heatwave, Boulder, Chase, and Blades. The figures feature new paint schemes meant to more closely resemble the show, and also include the weapons that came with the first round of "Energize" figures, though instead of translucent blue they are cast in a silver/gray color.

You can check out in-hand in-package images of the figures below, courtesy of site owner Seibertron, and let us know what you think of these new Rescue Bots below!

Looks like they retooled Blade's chest to remove the sculpted symbol, and strangely the original Boulder is the more accurate one.

The Rescue Bots line keeps trucking along to make sure there are some Transformers goodies for any preschooler venturing down the toy aisle. When it comes to the Transformers Rescue Bots Mini-Cons, we are now at wave 7. It is mostly repacks of previous waves but we do have a new figure too, that being a green redeco of Drake (the dragon Target Master, not the rapper). This is the case contents:

2x TRA RBT HEATWAVE THE RESCUE DINOBOT
2x TRA RBT DRAKE THE DRAGON BOT
2x TRA RBT CHASE THE RESCUE DINOBOT

This was revealed through a listing on Entertainment Earth and wll be coming out next month. Thanks to Scotty P for letting us know.

Like other Rescue Bot toys, these are aimed at a young audience, so the figures do not have any points of articulation and simple transformation.

Here is the website description for both Heatwave and Quickshadow.

Heatwave:

Pull back the Heatwave the Fire-Bot vehicle until the wheels click and then release it to send it racing off! For even more fun, try sending Heatwave the Fire-Bot crashing into the fire hydrant accessory to launch the manhole cover and imagine putting out a fire! Convert from vehicle mode to bot mode in 1 easy step! Flip up the Heatwave the Fire-Bot vehicle to convert it to bot mode. Flip it back down to convert it into a firetruck. Robots and humans saving the day, working together the Rescue Bots way!

So, the gimmick of these rescue-themed toys is to incite actions that cause collateral damage? :P

Yes! This is exactly how you do that! Blowing the manhole cover is absolutely essential to the whole operation! Psst... just uh... need a small reminder on how that exactly works, thanks.

Rolling to the scene of the rescue! Yes! Whenever there is a rescue, rolling barrels provide the needed help to get the job done! It doesn't even matter what type of rescue (water, fire, storm, etc.), having barrels to roll will always prove to be a necessary part of ANY rescue. That trailer wasn't carrying waste materials, right?

having fun is the most important thing. Hazard and danger are the least of our concern.

But, but that contradicts everything I learned from G.I.Joe PSAs. My childhood was a lie!
