Heads up to those who preordered Terrorsaur from Amazon.com, he is shipping earlier than expected. Instead of being released early March Amazon will have him arriving a whole month earlier. Some are even getting him in TODAY. Sadly, for those who did not preorder him, the toy is currently sold out. We are unaware if Amazon will have more. As it is an Amazon exclusive in the US (and several parts of the world), Amazon is the only place that will have him at its MSRP. He may show up at collector stores at a premium.

The mail I just received said March, but on site it says February 11th.
Let's hope the accurate time will be for next week, not next month.

Sabrblade wrote:My Terrorsaur has arrived. Just opened him up and haven't transformed him yet. His pterosaur head is really nice. It's so characterful and expressively detailed. However, the end piece of his left wing pops off super easily. The joint connecting it to the rest of the wing has no friction to hold it in place, where the joint on his right wing is just fine.
As for his Golden Disk accessory, some have rightfully complained about it being the Vok disk instead of the Voyager disk. But, the thing is, this particular disk is both and neither. One side is the Vok glyphs, while the other side is the Voyager record labeled "The Sounds of Earth". It's like someone either couldn't make up their mind and decided to make a weird fusion of the two disks, or just plain goofed and simply assumed that the Vok disk had the same Sounds of Earth side as the Voyager disk instead of glyphs on both sides.
EDIT: His inner wing joints are also misassembled upside-down. Luckily, these can be popped off gently and reassembled right-side up.
He also has two tiny silver spike accessories that are wrapped in thin paper in the back of his cardboard shell. Do not forget to retrieve these before discarding the packaging as they complete the look of his robot arms.
Could you provide pics regarding the accessories and what is missassembmed?

The irony is even with the shipping fee, the total price is basically the same as the normal 45$CAN plus taxes... And way cheaper than Toys R Us's new 50$CAN mark plus taxes.
Only hiccup is the delivery date is set for March 11th or 30th. It's more of a preorder than anything else.

That's why I stuck with the old Generations Waspinator.

Like a few others I'm not too pleased by what they ended up doing. I was hoping for two things. One was something along the lines of Pipes from Huffer in that the backpack could spin around. Kind of like that upcoming Transart Transmetal Rattrap. The other was that they would try to utilize Airazor's "third mode". They already have the chest piece anyway so why not make it longer so that it connected to the pelvis with the torso extended for beast mode to keep it all steady for that weird taller robot mode hybrid thing that Airazor does. The arms would be a little too short but they could've made them longer by a little bit and still have them wrap around either the back of figure like the original BW Airazor or have them double up and in under the chest.
I've been playing around with Airazor and Skywarp and there's just enough room to have longer arms and have the arms still fold up and in with the fists going into the chest cavity in front of the robot head while the forearm bend going to the spot where the fists would normally go. The only thing is you have to cut away that tab under the fists to make it work. Which would've meant another two pieces to have been retooled for Terrorsaur to make fists that don't have those tabs.
I need to get a 3D printer and learn how to design things myself. I'd make the bicep extenders for this mold as well as some sort of chest pieces to get the extended torso to hold steadily in robot mode.

Same boat as you was supposed to get by 10pm tonight not shipped or anything. Amazon Associate says it not being in stock is the reason for the delay.
Had to reapprove my Amazon Order and the will email me with a new ship date for Terrorsaur when they get stock

Mine also makes me hate Hasbro for brining back ball joints, especially for ankles. Maybe I'm just weird, but I prefer my figures to be able to stand without falling over. Airazor is fine, but Skywarp and Terrorsaur have to be balanced perfectly to stay upright and are severely limited on their poses.

Universal joints should be the only joints used on load-bearing limbs.

Same, but I got an email last night saying it was delayed as late as 2/15. My SS86 Sweep did show up yesterday (left in the rain by USPS...) and I was a little disappointed that he was alone. I would love to know how they "ship" something before they even put it in a box. I mean I get it, they're just scanning codes that the computer spits out at them and sometimes the code is for a product that's supposed to be on a shelf but isn't, but it's just strange for inventory to not be there when the system thinks it should be and goes so far as to tell the customer that it is.

Another one of those pre-orders that sold out before I got to view the pre-order page.
Hope they do a re-run.

Yes, he does feel cheaper, it's that darn really light plastic.
Not impressed with the toy but I knew I wouldn't be. Still feels like a placeholder while many of the Kingdom beast gang feel definitive.
Also, just a heads up, someone claims they found a Red Alert in store at Walgreens but...
1. That person only has 3 posts on TFW
2. They photographed the box but not the receipt
3. Said it was the only one on the shelf so could have been a return or an excuse not to have a pic of the shelf.
So yeah, could be legit, but i'll wait till we have more reports.

The store around the corner from my house has a tag for Red Alert, but I've never seen the Red Alert. I try to get in there once a week.

He obviously can't hold the golden disk other than in his beak.
However, neither Megatron nor Dinobot which would be the one bot I'd like to have hold it can very well. Megatron's Dino jaw can hold it, but not very tightly, and Dinobot simply cannot pinch the disk in any way. His claws don't close that far, so it's just sitting in his hand basically and any movement will knock it off.

I'm very much enjoying Cyclonus. Very sleek and put-together in altmode, and a joy to transform. Easily the best toy/mold G1 Cyclonus has ever had, nothing particularly questionable about him. Unlike G1 (freaking detachable arms... Seriously, which idiot's idea even was that?), Universe (good effort and Nightstick is cool - wish I had him - but that altmode aft is a mess), and Combiner Wars (30th anniversary coming up or not, why was Cyclonus prioritized over Scattershot to be Silverbolt's moldmate?).
Photographed him with Apeface because they both have jet/starfighter modes with rear-mounted forward-swept wings.

My guess is to simply balance out bots and cons. Scattorshot came eventually, so any "priority" was really just on the order of design/release. For regular release you had 6 autobot voyager torsos and only 3 cons, with Red OP, Cyclonus and Scattorshot not having dedicated limbs or as "free agent" torsos. Those were the only 3 that didn't have to be released with their limbs. Red OP was always going to be a wave 1 release as the big name, and I don't think they would want to release a 2 con case when there are only 3 for the whole line. So that basically made Cyclonus need to be in wave 3 or 4. Scattorshot was easier to fit around this than Cyclonus was is my best guess.

Well, it still rankles that Cyclonus got favored not only as first pick but also with a full set of alternate parts including for torso mode, whereas Scattershot got stuck recycling the Superion combiner parts.TF-fan kev777 wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Combiner Wars (30th anniversary coming up or not, why was Cyclonus prioritized over Scattershot to be Silverbolt's moldmate?).

Red Op is another case of priority at the design level lol. That mold reeeally feels like it was devoloped mainly as an Optimus Prime toy and the torso mode just phoned in. Resulting in Menasor sucking. And of course, Legacy Menasor is going to be crap in whole new ways instead of "CW Menasor as he should have been"...

Scattershot wasn't planned initially I think, or at least was added on later like Trailbreaker was with the new non-head parts. Also look at this way: Cyclonus looks so different it lessens the chance of "you already have this toy", while Scattershot released later feels more like a "second chance". There's a little bit psychology involved with these decisions, you know?
Legacy Menasor will feel more accurate to the source material, yes, but the material itself lends itself to cop-outs with the liberties taken (all to make the limbs more proportionate I bet, seen Streetwise as a limb, toy vs. animation? ).
Posted by Sabrblade on February 11th, 2022 @ 1:23pm CST
I feel like Scattershot's lateness in the line was less about his being a last-minute addition and more about that being the case of his retooled nosecone and wings. Every CW Deluxe and Voyager mold had a planned head pretool made by Hasbro (minus Sky Lynx due to both his uniqueness and his coming late in the line [he was probably a late addition]) and Scattershot fits the bill for Silverbolt's quick and easy head pretool. Reportedly, Cyclonus had his own head pretool as King Starscream, but which never saw the light of day, much like Onslaught's pretooled Demolishor head, Rook's pretooled Brawl/Ironclad head, Trailbreaker's pretooled Hoist head, etc.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Well, it still rankles that Cyclonus got favored not only as first pick but also with a full set of alternate parts including for torso mode, whereas Scattershot got stuck recycling the Superion combiner parts.TF-fan kev777 wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Combiner Wars (30th anniversary coming up or not, why was Cyclonus prioritized over Scattershot to be Silverbolt's moldmate?).
