You know, Kabaya re-releasing those kits reminds of the same thing they did with the Brave Gum kits, re-releasing the combining leaders of some series: Great Exkizer, Great Might Gaine and Fire J-Decker.

Yeah, it's areal problem for this set. Normally then include enough figures so that you get one complete set and sometimes an extra. But this case only has six boxes in it for seven figures. This is also a lot more than they usually charge for a box of six. Too bad, if this were a box of eight that guaranteed a complete set of figures like some of the other sets I would have gone for it.

Maybe BigBadToyStore will pick them up too and sell them individually/as sets. Or maybe an enterprising Seibertron member will pick up a bunch to resell as sets/loose for reasonable prices.

They print the instructions on the inside of the box.

And they're so awesome to try to read!

Kabaya has never included the instructions to create Victory Saber or Great Exkizer.

That's odd, was there any room to print it? I suppose it's pretty straightforward, though, right?

The pictures themselves are pretty straightforward as they are, never had to try and read the Japanese. They're just hints and minor warnings anyway.

If you know how the original toys transform (or the MP in Exkizer's case), the kits go the same way given limitations like partsforming.

Maybe if you have perfect vision.

Actually, I recently had my eyes measured for a new pair of glasses. -1.5 and +.5, coupled with an astigmatism.
But yeah, the pictures are small to fit on the inside of the boxes, so there's that.

The general instructions USED to be good, but the Joint Gattai and Adventure kits have really compressed the instructions making it very hard to read. Not sure when that started.

O right: Victory Saber is based on the Robot Masters version

Emerje wrote:Good news! According to AmiAmi these guys are all bundled together in their respective groupings between three boxes rather than each single figure being in a box. With six boxes to a case there's potential to get 14 figures in a case. That higher price makes a whole lot more sense now.

That explains the DX then

What's the quality of these kits? Are these generally well received? Trying to figure out if I want to drop $75 on this set from BBTS...
The quality is what you'd expect from a toy their size. Not KO quality, but not full-size figure quality either, it's a good golden middle road.
Make no mistake, they're quite small. The standard kits are like current Legends Class size after assembly, if not slightly bigger, but no Deluxe by a mile. These particular kits do no partsforming outside of Godbomber and detaching/reattaching the lower legs for a telescoping effect, and at times they have more articulation than the G1 originals. On the flipside, both Ginrai and Saber lose their individual robot modes, going straight to their Super modes.

I do. I kept seeing them every time I went for food.

It does make sense with the kits being classified as "food items" for tax reasons.

That's right, I forgot about that fact.
