Fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade has pointed us in the direction of the latest Japanese Toys R Us exclusive figure, this time in the form of a redecoed minicon Lancelon! This latest figure, which is officially named Shining Lancelon, is a redeco of the Robots In Disguise Lancelon, a figure which appeared in a minicon 4-pack and an individual release. The figure can be obtained by spending 3000 yen or more on Transformers figures at a Japanese Toys R Us. There are a limited number of Shining Lancelons available, so if you are in Japan, head on out to Toys R Us and get yourself a Shining Lancelon!

One of the biggest problems with the Weaponizer Mini-Cons is that they can't decide which damn faction they oughta belong to. Lancelon is marketed as both :BOT: and :CON: . There's another that has the seem deal as well, I just can't think of which it is.

To be fair, Mini-Cons kinda have the liberty to switch between factions in a fictional sense given their third party nature that allows them to side with whomever they choose to partner with.

Not to mention in the actual show they are just aligning themselves with whoever will get them away from Starscream. And Starscream manages to possess and merge with all 7 of them, so they end up basically everywhere

Small correction concerning Lancelon: the mold is indeed that of the regular standard release, but the one that comes with Starscream is a completely different one. The standalone one is compatible with the Power Surge figures however.

And why do promotional figures have to be clear? They look too good!

Why sling a sword over your back when you can just stick it to your chest? That's gotta be way more convenient when you go into battle.

Seriously though, this just looks weird to me.

These kinds of limited edition Japanese store exclusives traditionally don't see U.S. releases.

In fact, TakaraTomy released some of the US Mini-Cons that weren't in Japanese regular retail as giveaways, using Hasbro decos: Sawback, Beastbox, Velocirazor, Divebomb and Ratbat. The last two got redecos as single releases anyway.

Speaking of single releases, TakaraTomy must have a lot of problems integrating those into other sets or giveaways. Here are the ones who have yet to see release there:

- Swelter/Glacius
- Hammer
- Undertone
- Bashbreaker
- Lord Doomitron
- Weaponizer Slipstream

Anybody still wanting that runamuck and dogfight? Currently available for $70 online which is cheaper than the price BBTS was asking (which sold out instantly).

Eh, still too rich for my blood, especially since I only want Dogfight. Funnily enough, I only recently realised that even though the Viper head doesn't match his Marvel portrayal, it's really close to his original toy:

Wish they made Backstreet too, to complete the Triggerbot team with Override. Easy with the Rodimus head of the Runabout mold.

We covered the Japanese Toys'R'Us Exclusive Shining Lancelon, a Micron from the Takara Tomy Transformers Adventure line, here - but thanks to Seibertronian podcaster ScottyP we now also have confirmation that the exclusive will be carried by site sponsor Big Bad Toy Store! The orders should be fulfilled in January 2017, and below we have some reasons why this particular listing might interest those of you into Microns, mini-cons or the RID/TAV lines, from ScottyP directly:

These have not shown up on eBay, to my knowledge. I check daily.
Recent campaign Arms Microns have been difficult to find outside of these orders.
Said recent items sold out very quickly through BBTS (Ink, Sting, Burn, Rain)
It is a special version of an in-show character.
Lancelon has awesome knight armor. Do you? Nope.

Silently canceled? Interestingly, at the verge of Combiner Force.

And it isn't the first time in this series. Remember when they stopped doing Prime and cannibalized most of the Beast Hunters line for Transformers Go? I'm not saying we'll see Combiner Force stuff showing up under a new name, but cutting a show and line short is becoming a trend with them.

Takara has a history of pausing lines to focus on the movie line. I'm not saying Adventure is coming back, but I won't believe it's dead until they start doing toys for the next cartoon.

Yeah, we need to wait until TLK's done for Japan before seeing if Takara will bring back Adventure. After Prime of Micron ended, they still haven't gotten Season 3 yet.

You mean putting those toys in the Legends line? That sounds very unlikely, especially if they were to resume airing the show in Japan.

That's my made up Japanese name for the Ultra Bee combiner if it's released in their power of the primes line.

Why wouldn't they just keep the Hasbro name like they've done for practically every Adventure toy character with a Hasbro counterpart?

Courtesy of Allspark.com user Creedence, here are scans of the Adventure manga story that was published by Hero-X in the Transformers Generations 2015 book (translation of the story's title still pending as of this typing).

It features appearances of many toy-only characters from the Adventure toyline (including the ones exclusive to Hero-X) who did not appear in the RID 2015 cartoon (but which does include a couple of characters from the previous Prime cartoon).

Expect an English summary of this manga's events from TFWiki in the near future.

Sabreblade has informed us of new scans showing the Transformers Adventure comic that came in the Hero-X Transformers Generations book. Transformers Adventure was the Japanese version of the latest Robots in Disguise line and included characters we didn't get in the western version of the line Runamuck, Runabout, Lockdown, Overdrive, Black Convoy and many others.

Seeing these manga scans has me wondering: who here collected stuff from the Adventure line, and which molds would they recommend? I kind of dig some of the repaints and was wondering which ones people preferred. Already have Lockdown, so who do you think would look good alongside him?

For Lockdown, the two Insecticons were advertised as his personal army of minions, and they're both redecos/retools of decent Generations molds, so they're good to go with Adventure Lockdown.

Okay! We got ourselves a title and a summary for this manga!

"Return! The Most Evil Duo"

On Cybertron, Lockdown has captured Ultra Magnus and plans to dismantle him for parts, much to the annoyance of Runamuck who'd rather he didn't do that stuff in one of his favorite hang-out spots. He's further bothered by Runabout blowing stuff up, though it turns out his bomb-loving partner isn't just having fun: the explosions are caused by Autobots Override, Dogfight and Ricochet who have tripped some remote mines on their way to rescue Magnus. Runamuck takes Lockdown's Insecticons and heads out to fight the intruders, leaving Lockdown with Ultra Magnus... who then escapes his bonds, having merely faked being restrained. Before he can battle his captor, the other Autobots arrive, having made short work of Runamuck and Runabout, and Ricochet defeats the Decepticons with a powerful blast from Dogfight's gun mode. To Magnus's shock, the cocky Dogfight then tells him to clean up their mess.

Things haven't been a complete loss for Runamuck and Runabout, however, who are more competent than most think and have acquired a certain component during the conflict. Some time later they deliver the part to Bloody Knock Out, allowing him to finish his top secret project—the creation of Nemesis Prime.
