I am a little confused at the moment, as the source is Taiwanese, but the picture is Malaysian (RM is the Ringgit) - so equivalent to $70 US.

I'm glad you can see it, because that would be an instant selling-point for me.

There is a joint there.

I am 99% sure it was mentioned previously that Megs will come with a sticker sheet that INCLUDES an Autobot symbol.

They are not.

are you kidding? you think hasbro is missing an opportunity to ruin the one stellar figure they have in this line?
seriously.. the only thing that adding a combining gimmick to this figure is going to do is ruin it.
you ruin the look, you ruin the quality, and you probably ruin the paint job. there's no reason for it. at all.

The Deluxes, Voyagers and some of the Legends do combine. The rest are just Combiner Wars in name only and stand-alone. Call them welcome additions that don't make you feel obligated to get the rest of the group

Yes, the knees bend, but not very far. And as far as I'm aware, his hips don't move forward very far either.
For me, this just isn't a good Megatron, but I'm glad other folks seem to like him.

Yeah ... no. Tank Transformers should be beefy all round.

The two figures look different enough from the paint app and the new head to warrant getting both. I still think its a good design despite the tiny legs!

Your pretty spot on there TimothyR. Plus Megatron wouldn't need to combine with anyone else.

I agree completely, except the head is the only saving grace for me. Oh well, if you like him, have fun with him. The wait for MP Megs v2 continues.

There are a ton of Whirls and Roadbusters shelfwarming though. I've only seen two Skybytes (I bought one of them).
I have a feeling that I'm going to have to order online like the rest of the figures I listed Will probably be buying from BBTS though, as the CW figures cost an arm and a leg on Amazon

Both my TRU's have had no combiner figures, though I did come across a Thudnercracker and Windcharger. And I just picked up Windblade though she's technically a Generations figure. They need to get these AOE toys out on clearance.
Seeing the figure in package now, I'll definitely pick up Megatron. Prime I feel is a wasted potential. At the very least, I can have this Megatron doing battle against my Cybertron Optimus Prime.

Check out the mirrored images below, showing off the robot mode of the silvery Decepticon leader, and a size comparison with Masterpiece MP-10 Optimus Prime. Should we even ask if you'll be picking this one up when it shows up at a store near you..?

So "mean" looking! Why are the 'cons always portrayed as so?

There haven't been plain Generations figures since 2011. Every figure since 2012 has been part of a subline imprint for the greater Generations line:ultramadness wrote:They could have released Megatron as a Generations figure and left the Combiner wars to things that actually COMBINE
2012-2013: Generations Fall of Cybertron
2013-2014: Generations Thrilling 30
2014-2015: Generations Combiner Wars
Besides, this figure was developed back during the Thrilling 30 phase, but won't get released until after the changeover to Combiner Wars. Releasing a new figure in old packaging after the rest of the line has already moved on is bad for business.
Besides, Leader Thundercracker, Legends Thundercracker, Bombshell, Windcharger, Huffer, and Skywarp won't be combiner toys either, yet they'll all be coming out under the Generations Combiner Wars label.

Fireflight is just so PERFECT. Yeah, yeah, he's not perfect in jet mode, I know, but Fireflight is the one my nostalgia senses are most massively tuned in on, and that robot mode is just amazing. I LOVE the head sculpt!
I also snagged a Drag Strip for my buddy, whose favorite combiner is 'ol Menasor.

I'm with you, he was always my favourite and his head-sculpt looked the best. I think this one does him justice, especially with Slingshot's alt-mode, the other Aerialbot limb I had as a Kid.

Me too!!! Was shopping with the Mrs today and we found them at the local Toyworld in Wellington.
I only picked up Bombshell at the moment because I cant find any online at the moment but I might go back on Monday at lunchtime and grab Dragstrip.
I'm pretty stoked because the only time there are any of the latest CHUG figures in New Zealand is in 3 to 6 months after their release so I usually just get all my TF's online.

Agreed and agreed. Slingshot is my second favorite Aerialbot, as well. I'm sincerely hoping that they do a G2 deco of them, since that's the set I had as a kid. It'd be nice to have a Slingshot that doesn't crumble a little bit more each time I look at him.
Can't say I care that much about Skydive or Air Raid, if I'm honest. As such, I'm saving that chunk of the wallet for Protectobots (and whatever hopefully comes after...come on, Computron!).

Combiner Wars is an amazing next phase of Generations (which, since it's inception, has been pretty amazing anyway).
What a great time to be TF collector.
