And with Leo Prime, I wonder what TOMY's take on PRIME will be like. Will they pull a Beast Wars and start some spin-off material? Are they going to just make their variations and do nothing beyond that? Not sure, but I am set on what I want.
Sabrblade wrote:Leo Prime is BWII Lio Convoy having dimension-hopped.
No joke.
More like TOMY's take on Hasbro's Leo Prime. From what I am being told, TOMY's version of PRIME will be more like Takara's take on Beast Wars. As in it only branches off from their version of PRIME, and nothing else. So we may see him have more of a "Universe" Leo Prime element, especially since they are focusing more on Hasbro's version.
Not disputing that, nor do I care. Just give me any variation of "Arms Micron" Arcee and I am fine.

Leo Prime
Function: Maximal High Commander
Suddenly appearing on present-day Earth after sensing the threat of Unicron, Leo Prime is a Transformer elder who has crossed over from a distant dimension. On his former world, he was a revered high commander known as Great Lio Convoy. In order to avoid a space-time disturbance, he refrains from interfering in the battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron. However, should Unicron awaken once again, he has vowed to use his ancient sword, drawing power from his Energon Matrix, to put a stop to the evil force.

Sweet! Leo is (Technically) hiding off on Earth somewhere!
Although I truly wished he didn't share the same head sculpt as Thundertron. I wanted something more..."Prime-ish" Also not quite a fan of the constant color-breaking on him. I'm gonna try and work up some fan art on how I think he should of looked.

How shall I say this? I said that I do not care. The main reason why I stopped caring is because you did it to me. And seeing how you do not care, I am just going to respect your collector side and leave the continuity and fact checking to those who care to respect my views.
Besides, I said: "More like TOMY's take on Hasbro's Leo Prime. ... So we may see him have more of a "Universe" Leo Prime element, especially since they are focusing more on Hasbro's version." As in...
1) The variation of the character fits Hasbro's "Universe" Leo Prime, which was a Target exclusive.
2) The Universe continuity stated that Unicron was an issue and key characters did the very same thing in hopes of stopping him.
Ergo, what you just said validates what my friend told me. The difference is that you ignored the fact that I did not even care when she said it. So therefor, if you want me to care about the character and figure, then convince me to like him. Beyond that, I will only talk facts to those who respect my views.
Oh, and Arcee is the only character I will collect at this time.

I think that would have been a much more awesome redeco myself. Would also be nice to have another Alpha Trion figure regardless. Considering the only one out there is the Shattered Glass Botcon Figure. Would love to see someone attempt to redeco him as A3.

I agree and disagree. From the way it appears, TOMY is trying to add some of Hasbro's Universe continuity into their version of PRIME. And this could also allow them to add more mystery to who Alpha Trion is. Because there is always that chance he was involved, especially since TOMY has a huge gap between Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo to fill (for Lio Convoy).
But on the other hand, I agree because they need to give us their version of Alpha Trion. And from the way the two look, they could have easily done that with this figure.

I didn't spot a point in time where Sabrblade disrespected your views. He just put up a disputation.
1) The variation of the character fits Hasbro's "Universe" Leo Prime, which was a Target exclusive.
So, that just put him in the G1 continuity family...where he already was to begin with.
2) The Universe continuity
Generation 1 continuity family*
stated that Unicron was an issue and key characters did the very same thing in hopes of stopping him.
So therefor, if you want me to care about the character and figure, then convince me to like him.
You don't have to like him.

And now for my two cents:
Ultra Magnus looks worse than before. Thanks, Takara.
Leo Prime looks awesome! insignia!!!!

Oh, I really want a Prime Alpha Trion repainted from Thundertron now. Not so much for show accuracy, but just because that color scheme with that design looks damn cool.

I love how somebody can turn an enjoyable homage THAT WILL NEVER BE IN THE SHOW into a point of argument. Great you believe whatever the hell you want, dont burden everybody by trying to smugly belittle everybody elses opinion. its embarrassing.
I like it, and quite honestly id rather have had an Alpha Trion, but at the end of the day, Leo Prime is a character with appeal to the non-hardcore collectors since he's a Prime (in whatever capacity), and he does LOOK profoundly different. Looking forward to seeing what AM Thundertron comes out like when he gets released.
Magnus im not impressed with, glad i got the Hasbro one. colours are too flat. Expect reprolabels are already working on a set for the Hasbro version.
MP Red Alert, glad i ordered him, cant wait for it to arrive.
Peace out

I'm just saying this. It is more of a dismissal, not a dispute. The same dismissal that had him go off-topic on any topic just to prove I was wrong, even though his claims cannot be validated. The same dismissal that had him not care that others, such as myself, come here to have fun only to be ridiculed anytime he wants to have what he says shine.
Want examples?
e-HOBBY's VSE set: Nobody I personally know follows Twitter. And I only follow the official sites and Facebook pages. All he had to do was say "look at the Twitter page" and I would have. Instead, he dismissed the fact I do not follow Twitter and made me feel like a fool in the process.
UNITED-EX: The first time, he wasted up to 4 hours of my birthday by saying "I don't get it." and "I'm confused." when I tried explaining something to him. The second time, he dismissed my computer issue (which I have mentioned) by ridiculing the fact I used Google's instant translator. He also dismissed the fact that I learned the concept of continuity from professional writers and screenwriters, as well as anime companies, and made me sound like an idiot for not agreeing with him.
Galvatron: Just to be right, and in a subject that was not about the character, he chose to dismiss two factors: One being the entire movie and the other being that his conclusion does not reflect the Japanese version of the series. So when I was citing events and facts from the movie, he dismissed it while citing stuff how a photo and the two English voice actors make him right.
Pryme, out of respect and the fact you did not realize that our introduction was based on me misreading something you said (and did openly apologize for it), I will say this - He does not dispute. He dismisses. Disputing requires some acknowledgement that the person has a different view. Dismissing has him just completely disregard what he needs to know just to obtain a goal.
And not liking? I defended him when another made this an issue when it comes to him! All we asked is that he eases up and just interact with the rest of us like he does with you. But instead, even when I agreed with him, it feels like he needs to defend his status. And that is how he came off - Especially after everything I have been put through with him.
So yes: I think what he said was correct. I think PRIME is the new Beast Wars. I think that they are adding elements from Hasbro's past works with everything that is post-Alternity. I just wish he would have acknowledged that, is all. And now, officially, I wonder if my 2013 will have me existing here if I have to defend myself when he is involved (first-hand or not)... Which is sad because I like the "fun convo" version of him.

Apologies to you, then. Because you responded to my post. And it comes off as if I came off as disputing what you said, and so on. So permission to laugh it off?

All is forgiven about that. I suppose I'll give my fair share of apologies for it as well.

Don't leave. You're awesome!
Also, you've become one of us. Once you've joined Seibertron, you become a nut forever. We're all nuts here at Seibertron.

That's not at all unreasonable. Thundertron attempts something unique with the forelimb transformation, but it results in completely unposeable forelimbs. The choices of pose they leave him with are between "leaning a little low" and "about to pounce". This is a downgrade from many poseable beast figures in the past, and it's a fair criticism of the mold.

Blurrz wrote:This makes me want to go buy a Lio Convoy..
Me too, as Sabrblade did put some ideas of me adding considering the idea of adding Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo characters into my collection. But that was until the very episodic, re-imagined (by Naoto Tsushima) Generation 1 series, "TRANSFORMERS ALL SPARK", gave me chapter 2 (Kerokero Ace 2012 Vol. 12). And... Chapter 3 (2013 Vol. 1) killed the idea by introducing Jetfire (think "Henkei! Henkei!" Skyfire with "Classics" Jetfire's paint job).
Oh, and I'd love that series to get its own toyline (on account that I missed out on the "Henkei!" version of Skyfire). But it might conflict with any 2013 plans that can happen (with one of them making my response-time here be a challenge). That, or any Generation 1 reissues and "Arms Micron" Arcee follow-ups that might happen.
