A friend and I were going out to see a movie, then she showed me that link... we are now staying in and ordering Thai.

Because not even a Deringer is that small. No way to confuse him with a real gun.
Well, maybe this one:

I was gonna say I actually liked the new name over Trailbreaker (breaking a trail? What the hell does that mean? Is it similar to breaking a horse, or?), but then I google it to see what you were referring to and geez! another Nexus Maximus! Well, at least it's not EXACTLY the same name like Nexus was. Nope, in this case it's namesake is a lawn mower you hitch up behind your ATV, so that's not as bad I guess.

While these are good and all (I can now have Megatron wield Megatron to shoot Megatron while hitching a ride on Megatron), all the local stores are still stuffed with Wave 1 stuff...

Usually Transformers are about good alt modes, but now the robot kibble is becoming too revealing in these line of figures, Megarton especially.
They might as well renamed Optimus to Ginrai, becuase it shares almost his exact transformation. A bit lazy on there part.
Incorporating windows as the chest shouldn't be hard Hasbro.

I think they did a great job with Megatron given the size they have to work with and the very limited tooling they can use. I also don't think that Hasbro didn't just take the lazy route and skip the "incorporating windows as the chest" part. I think you are more accurate in saying that it's a pretty clear throw back to Ginrai. To which I say, booya

Actually, the windshield is the chest. The transformation is a simplified version of the Classics Voyager Optimus Prime figure.
For Legends class figures, these are pretty danged sweet.

I don't think you really know what you're talking about.

For what they are there not too bad I suppose, just wish Megatron especially was a little less revealing in gun mode, too much red showing. Guess its forgivable for Legends class ingenuity, though there have been more smartly made smaller figures.

Aside from that Smallest Transforming Transformer Megatron, how many other "smartly made smaller figures" has TakHas put out that turn into guns?

Yes, world's smallest Megatron is more complex, proving that they can probably do a little better. There ingenuity is all over the place honestly, sometimes good and sometimes not so good.
For example, WST Optimus is by comparison simpler than this new legends Optimus. Now it's reversed, WST Megs is a lot cleaner than that new one. I knew this line was coming out, so I just expected something a tad better. at least hiding Megatron's red parts, nothing more.

I am somewhat serious. Look at the front of the package, there is a half and half bot/con ensigna, and the fronts of the cards don't say anything about them being Autobots or Decepticons, and it kinda leads to you having to buy them to find out, just like the old days. I just find it humorous that they would have started something like this with Prime, Megs, Starscream and Prowl.
Of course they have the bios on the back, but personally, I would have your first wave of "reveal the shield" have no mention of faction and make the bio somewhat misleading so you can't really tell what side the toy is on.
Not saying I won't buy any of these either, cause they are bought on sight!

The back of the cards show the factions. Bad choice.

How much innovation was needed though to miniaturize a design that's been around since the early 1980s? That smallest transforming Megatron has a clean gun mode, but the robot mode is nice to see only from the front.
