Just got my payment notice but I highly doubt they will ship before the weekend ends. I picked up two Slipstreams, a Blackarachnia, a Nightbird, and an Arcee for just under $20 shipping EMS.

I might get Nightbird, but I don't think I'm getting Blackarachnia for the simple reason I already have the Animated version.

According to those panels of her pack-in manga, she appears to be not a G1 version of the Animated character, but the genuine article herself: Animated Slipstream upgraded into a new body.

Guess that explains the overtly Animated-style head and the "Takara Animated"-esque shiny deco.

It's certainly not stopping me from making her G1 Slipstream for my Classics shelf. Legends Slipstream foots the bill better than the TFSS 1.0 version the TFCC produced a few years ago. This one won't tower over the deluxe Classics Seeker molds either.

Plus, it has a face sculpt that isn't BRAVO FUNPUB

I'm hoping some 3P manufacture is currently in the works (as I'm typing here) on providing a much needed better looking head sculpt for this new Slipstream.

I quite like her S.E.G., personally. Gives the sculpt a lot of character, and maybe gives a little bit of a clue into exactly what facet of Starscream's personality she represents in the TF: Animated continuity.

Yeah, but I actually like nightbird more than arcee. She pulls off the 'heavily armed assassin' look way better than arcee's overly motherly/serial killer face. Plus nightbird is gorgeous

But I do agree that new is better than new-deco, except in rare cases for me where I'm more excited for the redeco than I was for the original like cw swindle, prowl, and nightbird.

Hey, what uh,what is the shipping process for SAL? I was being lazy and picked the cheapest shipping method,and I have no idea when it's coming. Though it should be soonish right? I'm on the west coast last time i checked.

Excellent piece of black brick goodness!If you can't get the original Skygarry, this is the best. No retool unlike the Grandus version.

2 weeks to 2 months depending on left over space in ships (Sea), airplanes (Air), and trucks (Land)

Yeah and he was cheap for the goodness he is. Plus, unlike Sky Garry, Death Garry comes with 2 extra mini transport trucks so you can fit more along his extending body and make him have a more complete base mode (the original didnt need that since it would just connect with all the other bases in the set). Man, this makes me wonder if all the bases in TR will fit together. Oh well, thoughts for another thread.

Yo surprise me Mkall. You are canadian right? So I wonder, with the current exchange, why did you choose to go the BBTS route? Is it due to their customer service and not having to worry about preorders selling out lightning quick in japan?

I just received Nightbird today. It was my first time ordering from AmiAmi.com and so certainly didn't expect such a quick delivery (the payment was done on 22nd October after having pre-ordered a couple weeks before, and she was shipped out on 23th and arrived on 27th) Only cost £22.40 including shipping which is amazing since the second hand Arcee standing next to the box here cost me £20 off eBay (with postage included) from a UK seller (which is still nice for a hard to find figure but just saying how great a deal Nightbird is).

She's a cool figure. I love all the shiny silver and the extra sais are cool. And while I normally dislike characters of opposite factions sharing bodies I'm ok with it here since Nightbird wasn't a true Decepticon and going by the figures here I can just consider her an evil clone of Arcee created by humans (thus mixing parts of her G1 episode story and the Bumblebee/Stinger bit of AoE. Sorted!).

Seibertron's very own Japan correspondent Matt has found Takara's Transformers Legends Slipstream at Japanese retail and snapped a few in hand shots as the rest of the world awaits their order coming in the mail.

Yes, you did pick EMS and it is the default. And while you are totally correct that for that kind of fast shipping, it's a bargain (it it the same price it would cost me to have somethign shipped domestically, which is pretty nuts), I just wanted to say that for next time, as you get more used to Amiami, you can try out other options. Believe it or not, EMS is the most expensive option when you have just one toy being shipped. They have other options which you can look at. SAL is the cheapest when its just one toy or a few but of course, it will take 2 weeks or more. So its up to you. If you like EMS, then by all means stick to it. I just waned to say that as cheap as this turned out to be, it could even be cheaper

Heh. I didn't even realise there was a comic in the Nightbird box. Thought it was just instructions and as I already know how to transform her from owning Arcee I didn't even look.

Comic's far too cutesy for my tastes and I can't read japanese but hey it's a cool extra.

I think the package artists are.... shall we say, 'projecting' a little too much of how they'd LIKE these fem-bots to appear in how they're drawing them....

They look Neat but I have absolutely no idea whats happening for the comic XD if only their were japanese translations verisons of the comics but I am sure someone can translate them

Incomprehensible and slightly weird Japanese humor aside, it is funny having tiny BW Megs alongside G1 Megs.

I could probably translate these comics but it'd take a while!

I really don't like that Slipstream doesn't come with the sword. Nightbird comes with all four of the base mold's weapons and then the two new ones. Combiner Hunter Arcee doesn't even come with the four base weapons yet Nightbird does. So why doesn't Slipstream come with Windblade's sword? I'd like to at least have had the option in displaying her with the sword or not.
