We see all of the individual Constructicons on display as well. The combined mode is displayed with a pyramid recreating the final battle of Revenge of the Fallen, on a thematic level. That Devastator is custom painted though.
So now that we've finally seen Studio Series Devastator's final two components, and his fully combined form, are you excited to complete this massive combiner? Let us know what you think below, and stay tuned to Seibertron for the latest from Wonder Festival 2020!

Overly hopeful unfortunately. The legs do split in half, but not in a way that would help because the feet look to be a solid piece. Take a look at the combined mode. Overload's feet become Devy's (sort of) collar bones.

This was worth the wait, that looks AWESOME!!!!!!
Devastator rules!!! And this shows that they truly have perfected combiners!!!

Me! Unfortunately, Devastator’s model was too much for the cgi as it was.

Going by the grey model they presented a while back, it seems that Overload was meant to form a squatter lower body while Mixmaster was supposed to hang lower in head mode. My guess is that it might have been slightly difficult to work out on a transforming toy. Still thought I am really pleased with the results.

This will definitely be a good thing to look forward to when I return in March.

I am kinda lucky.
Since I still have to get the ones already released (I live in Italy and I have to get all my toys mostly from outer sites) I'll probably skip the red one and wait for this one.

Skipjack is a redeco of Voyager Class Rampage and is rumoured for release at some point in 2020.

I hope SS goes on long enough to give us a Demolishor in addition to Skipjack, and maybe through in a Payload and someone else in there too, alternate options.
Gosh I love this line

Hightower's hook is supposed to be attached behind his head to make a proper clawed thumb, it isn't in that images

The combined duo are pretty flexible. I've seen quite a few combined arm options with one of Scrapmetal's "figures" turned around and used as a thumb or the treads/legs used as thumbs.Emerje wrote:First time I've noticed Hightower's head and neck being used as a thumb. Even with the claw mounted the official way the head is still there looking derpy.

Retool Mixmaster into his alternate-headed version and name him after Quickmix.
Redeco Overload in purple and name him after Frontloader.
Redeco Scrapper in red and name him after Buckethead.
Redeco Scrapmetal (here's the fun one) in an all new blue and red deco with the name "Rumble" in honor of Cybertron Scrapmetal's Japanese name (and as a fun mockery of the FIRRIB/RIRFIB debate by giving him both colors).

Don't front loaders normally have scoops? Looks more like a flat bed / dump truck hauling a big round thing. Ah cool that it's based on a real vehicle. They all look plausible, but are all the SS Constructicon toys based on real life vehicles? I'm only 2/8 of the way in and I have no concrete plans to finish or not finish Devastator. The combined figure they just showed off sure isn't doing a good job selling it to me. I do find the individual ones that are monster-like a lot of fun and may continue to pick them up on whims and sales.

So I know what that is, the Red one, WIth them using names that aren't original constructicons I'm fully going to admit to not knowing who is who.
I'm talking about long red truck with what looks like part of a space bridge on the end.

He’s actually an articulated motor scraper; they look like articulated dump trucks but aren’t they scrape up excess dirt from the ground to even out areas without making piles everywhere

They're modified so they're not licensed, much like how the original toys were... Except for one: Mixmaster. So far he's the only confirmed licensed toy, specifically of a Mack Granite (probably because DotM Megatron was a licensed Mack M915, gotta make the licenses stretch
Posted by no-one on February 10th, 2020 @ 11:37am CST
So not licensed but not necessarily fictional either. The movies toys tend to use licensed vehicles and these looked a lot closer to real life vehicles than the CW Constructicon amalgamations. Cool cool thanks.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:They're modified so they're not licensed, much like how the original toys were... Except for one: Mixmaster. That's Mixmaster's Vortex Grinder that becomes Devastator's neck. I guess they couldn't integrate it into Mixmaster himself and so included it with Overload to haul around.Rodimus Knight wrote:with what looks like part of a space bridge on the end.

Yeah, I really loved that figure - until the entire rear bumper assembly cracked into pieces... gotta love clear plastic
after dropkick and black-and-red movie drift, I think I've sworn off car formers with clear plastic in them, they cost too much for them to just snap like that
Posted by no-one on February 10th, 2020 @ 3:18pm CST
Might be time to call it quits then. More and more figures are being made with the stuff across all lines. After a quick glance and off the top of my head, Hightower is the only recent figure I've gotten without the stuff (including Siege).Hellscream9999 wrote:I think I've sworn off car formers with clear plastic in them
