MP Prime and Starscream have this quality - they're similar to their G1 counter-part, but different enough that merely adding ball joints to the original won't have a similar effect. I dunno - it just doesn't tickle my fancy.
He is perfect for me. he looks like Grimlock is supposed to look (I have the Takara version). I wanted G1 Grimlock and that is what I got.

Don't forget Masterpiece Megatron. Closest thing we'll ever have to a show-accurated G1 Megs. I love him despite his scrawniness. And Masterpiece Grimlock is just overflowing with awesomesauce.

Post? No, it's a pre. They'll color it right. THis is just made from whatever was around at the time, I guess.

I see what you mean, felt the same way the first time I saw it. It looks great, but it's hard to get really excited over this figure since I almost feel like I already own it.

But really you haven't. Trust me, it is different enough that you will feel it is different than your original.

I could not agree more. MP Grimlock is a Grandslam, IMO. Anyone with even a passing interest in this mold should pick it up.

You do realize that test-shots are almost always done in weird colors, right? We've already seen what the final product will look like, it's pretty close to the Takara one. This is just a funky-colored test-shot that someone's selling off.
