That's the problem with most beast wars figures. Most of them are already pretty great. Anything past the first year like Transmetals and fuzors and after are already close to their cartoon models. Looks amazing though and by it's not a licensed vehicle so we should get him in the states

Though, I gotta say, Dinobot's Japanese voice sounds oddly fitting despite sounding a little dumber and more thuggish.

There are several videos. This was just one of them.

Would they use panels that collapse inward and make it thicker? The Cybertron version got by this with clever shoulder pads, wonder if TT would emulate that

It's of its own class. But comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges

It's the second release Japanese version of the figure, which had tan skin with brown stripes, a brown helmet, and red robot eyes, instead of the pink skin with black stripes, black helmet, and yellow eyes the Hasbro version had (the first run Japanese release was identical to the Hasbro version).Megatronformayor wrote:Is it just me or dose that Dinobot have a different color than the original.

If by original you mean the 1996 Hasbro Dinobot, then yes. The Dinobot pictured is the Takara Dinobot which was lighter in color than the Hasbro one.

Well Takara did work miracles when they engineered SkyByte, reducing the amount of back kibble considrably. They could do something similar with Megatron.

I think Delta Magnus is the one that is mistaken about the number. But we'll see.

Especially considering that Primal's number came from an official source while TFSource isn't.william-james88 wrote:

I would imagine TFSource gets their listing info straight from Takara.

Why? Takara doesnt sell to TFSource, they contractually can't. To get Takara items they have to go through a regional wholesaler which is where their listings come from.

2 things
1. These arent the final colours.
2. Things can look odd when dealing with the silver colour which is very reflective.
For instance, look at Long Haul below, he appears to have either green on his forehead or a hole right through it but it is in reality just a trick of the camera due to the reflective silver paint.

Hence my previous posts of not immediately judging a product based on PC monitor images.

But if not, I wonder where these countenances would be stored when they aren't used. You can't have them just lying somewhere.

Or in real life for that matter.
I'm much more concerned over why these new images make him look so blue.

Same here. The toy looks fantastic and gives me extremely high hopes for a Beast Megatron. But the blue looks really off in beast mode. I can't help but think this was a deliberate choice to give Hasbro an opportunity to do a more accurate beast mode here in the States at a later date.

That would be a nice change.
And no, it's not a trick of the camera, no professional photographer would allow that much reflection in the studio. Plus we'd see it in the glossy white legs as well. It's too consistent in both modes in all new photos to not be accurate.

It's likely that blue, in the show, his chest reflected blue in certain light, I agree that it's a little too noticeable on the figure, it should be much more subtle.

At one point it was more subtle, I can't imagine why they looked at it and thought "more blue".
Now that looks amazing! I wonder what the Japanese fans think?

Maybe it was a powerful light that de-saturated all the colors, 'cuz he looks more grey than the magazine pics...

If so then it was intentionally misleading. Check out the bot mode screencap.
The fur is the same color but the bot chest has the accurate metallic blue.

Interesting, I dunno then; I do agree though, a darker color fur and the very faded blue would've been a great compromise.
