(The other official Hasbro Shattered Glass Autobot is Nightbeat, the custom class figure for Botcon 2008)
This set will be a Chinese magazine exclusive. For us regular joe's in North America, there has yet to be information on how we can obtain it. This turns a few heads, because Shattered Glass CCC being an exclusive for a Chinese magazine is rather odd. The Botcon Shattered Glass figures are owned mostly by North American collectors. Remember that this is a third party product, and it is not official, nor endorsed by Hasbro or Takara. The link to the original article can be found here, along with pictures of the original Computer Control Center.

But after all is said and done the question I am left to ponder is.....
Why if this is suppose to be Shattered Glass is Soundwave there with a purple logo when it should be red?

And a Chinese exclusive base for an American exclusive Botcon set?
F---ing stupid is what it is.
Why not just call it a KO & scalper exclusive?

I lold, Hasbro really should take cues from 3rd party and make some playsets like these.

either way, I understand this exclusive of an American exclusive..
BOTCON repaints and figures are highly sought after in the overseas market.. and so, I can see how they would be viewed as we view the rare Grimlock, or Ganbo Cone head seeker exclusives..
it makes sense..sucks for those of you USA owners, but heck.. we got mad support in China, so ask some forum members (whom we know are trust worthy) to "GET THAT MAGAZINE!" and then you can work out a deal to order..
either way, it is a cool idea..
I don't think I would call this a Knock Off, or a Bootleg since it is clearly a unique base set.. something I would have thought Fansproject would have done by now..either way, I am glad one is being made..to me, as a Geewunner, no Autobot collection is complete without the teletran one setup.. it is just the ultimate in classic..
every episode we were treated to a scene with Optimus commanding a mission from the teletran computer.. it was like a familiar treat, no need for extra toppings..
So I support this set, and it's repaint 100%

All of their bases are WAY too pricey for me and don't fit into my own setup at all, so it's a big pass.

If I even briefly considered getting it, though, the only guys I'd have to put on it are SG Autobot Hound (Movie Strongarm), SG Decepticon Gutcruncher (Movie Signal Flare), and SG Autobot Scoop (Movie Grindcore). But I don't have that kind of cash! That Soundwave would add one guy to the Decepticon roster, though.
Uh, I thought that the last issue of the club magazine showed SG Hound is universe Hound in Detritus colors.
It's Brawn that Movie Strongarm is repurposed into.

Excellent observation on Soundwave Editor. I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw it.
The concept for the Shattered Glass Universe is beyond awesome to me. I was the sap that went to that Botcon but registered too late and got the 05 set instead, so I missed out on these great figures.
But I Gear making a Teletraan-1 set for it is kinda silly. Its uber limited to begin with and only hardcore TF fans are in the know about it.
Seems more like milking something for all its possibly worth than anything, but we haven't even seen the finished original yet.
