It isn't. It's a reprint.
Black Bumblebee wrote:An Omnibus collects several volumes, not two. Alas, this is not an omnibus, as it is missing part 3
Part 3 was only partially published (1, 2, 3 made it, 4 only just missed, 5 has a script, 6 has an outline), and cannot be included in this type of collection unfortunately.

I'd be more interested in this if they were to include Part three: the actual issues, the script for 5 and the outline for 6. I think that would've been really cool.

I believe there is a legitimate legal reason for them not being able to do that, but don't quote me on it!

IMHO, it stands as one of the best comics in TF history. Art, story, lore, reworked transformations... all exceptional. For those who haven't read it... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
For other earlier serious comics I enjoyed, Stormbringer and Megatron Origin also very cool.
Later IDW comics... really enjoyed the art of Autocracy. Story from Last Stand of the Wreckers and its offshoots, fantastic. Great character development.

That could very well be!

They own all the material that was already published once before. This is just a reprint of that material - the Omnibus first came out in 2009!

I'm pretty sure that's exactly it. Even if furman wanted to include in text form, the completion of Age of Wrath, he couldn't. Too bad really. Although I do find it odd that most other DW completed series have been reprinted in some form or another except for: The Armada MTMTE (unless it was part of the Armada/Energon Omnibus??) and some of the other mini series (Micromasters etc...). I'd love to get a continuation of the ongoing that was unfinished, as that was one of the best TF stories I've read in a long time...too bad it will never be finished.

Maybe we can get some of the high end fan artists to put together an ending to the dropped storylines using the scripts?
If so, I'd want it to be on par with the actual comics. No fan characters or poor grammar, etc. If that actually happened, maybe I could sleep at night. LOL.
