No. I've wanted this since I was three years old.

Nah, just one that's within easier reach. I'm praying e-Hobby will do either a Grand or Brave Maximus repaint, with all accessories including the sword.

I still have my (mostly complete) Fort Max from childhood but I'm still preordering this anyway. Too sweet to pass up. I am not, however, paying $50 extra just to get it early
Agreed. waited 20 years for this might as well wait another 4 weeks

Darkest Megatron? As much chrome as you put on it, it's still a pass, I'm happy with my PRID one. Jet vehicon General? Probably a Jet vehicon in dark colours (Ala regular Car Vehicon colours). If so, I'm on, never got the Jet vehicon.
As for TG, the price is too damn high for me to even be interested. Might just get TG Bruticus, and hasbro for the rest. Takara makes Hasbro FOC look dirt cheap.

Might as well grap the masterpiece cassettes and a jet Vehicon while I'm at it.

Wow, what timing! Up until last week, I would have preordered that Fort Max without a thought. But now? Do I go back on my decision to downsize my collection? I already have the RiD version (with gun and sword!) and I'm thinking about getting rid of it.

Not sure if two cassettes should come in at the $59.99 mark though. I would have thought releasing Rumble and Frenzy together would have made more sense so they didnt have to specify which color goes to which character. I think Frenzy will be red, based on the original toy name. Also, what about that shadowy MP-10 picture, was someone trolling us?

saw the email just before i saw this
gotta figure out a way too finagle this

I'm still betting MP Soundwave will be a SDCC'13 exclusive and already include all the cassettes, and not cost me $300+.

I sense next year is going to be a year of very few figure purchases.
Oh Masterpieces.
Posted by SJ21 on October 3rd, 2012 @ 9:01am CDT
I will be requesting the MP cassettes as a Xmas present.

Still...Ravage...I have to have him. I've waited for a MP Ravage since MP01.

I own Fortress Maximus, Grand Maximus and Brave Maximus. I can't wait for Encore Fortress Maximus. I also hope that they will do this smart and do the other two as well. It'll be nice to see so many people getting to enjoy the largest Transformers toy yet. Kudos to Takara for finally doing it after all of these years.

AutoBorst wrote:$60.00 for MP Rumble/Ravage??? I know BBTS likes to price gouge hot new items but that sounds pretty crazy to me. Just another reason to wait for Hasbro to release their version next year.

I'm for sure not moving on this until it gets closer to release. I'll pay it, but 60 is crazy.

Not just that, but maybe sticky the Fortress Maximus gallery for a bit? Only fitting, especially considering the possibility of e-Hobby releasing Grand (once they find the mold for the Pretender shell that is)

I can't contemplate the price for n eHobby one....
Mrs. S would have kittens....
At least it's not April 1st

Huge Transformers News....?
Hmmm large sum of money on an obselete giant brick or awesome 3rd party homage, now thats a difficult decision!
For that price they need to articulated him into some sort of super Transformer!
Regarding the Masterpiece Evil Cassettes, do we know their sizing yet? Could I be right in saying they will be around the same size as the KO Oversized Cassettes that turn up every now and then?
Keen to keep picking up more Generations figures when ever we finally get them over here in the United Kingdom, Foc and Prime too!

Considering MP Soundwave was shown at a show holding a regular G1 mini-casette, I'm guessing the MP-15 cassettes will actually be around that size, so... pretty small (but much more intricate!).

This is the one Transformer I would have never guessed they'd reissue! Great news. I have no regrets about buying the original 2 years back but I will def. buy this one too.
Here's hoping they also reissue Grand Max! I really hope this is not some fake April fools joke. I would be Max'd out!

Anyway, this is a good thing for collectors who have been waiting all these years Already own the USA version which, sadly lacks his "Master swords", so all I need are the reproduction swords to make him complete.
I hope to be able to score the MP cassettes, and no, the price justifies the intricate engineering that went into it.
To quote a line in a classic anime film " If there is a god, there must be a devil.........if there is a chojin........there must be an evil king/kyo....."
So, if Fortmax is coming, then SCORPONOK could be following next?

I'd donate mine if they want to reverse engineer it and can assure me that they would be able to get it back to me in one piece.

Preordered him and the MP-15 set. Good LORD this is a glorious day!

Oooh I must have missed that one, but interesting to know. Would you happen to have a size comparison of Soundwave against someone we all know and own?
If the MP Cassettes are coming out at the same size as the original G1 Cassettes, they make for a very small Masterpiece again!
Maybe its just me, but I kinda liked Masterpiece when they where bigger and bolder than everything else, not just a highly detailed Voyager!

Unless something has changed since we last saw the prototype MP cassettes, they are the same size as the G1 cassettes since those too can also fit into MP Soundwave's.robotmel wrote:

Even with greater articulation and little features, I don't see that being worth $30.00 a pop for a figure that's still not going to be any taller than 3-4".

Can you explain what you mean? I have AM Vehicon and AM Jet Vehicon, and they're both black. Vehicon has a blue bot body and Jet Vehicon has a purple bot body, but the vehicles are the same color.

I love the cartoons and owned loads of G1 original toys back when I was a young 'un but they all went to a car boot sale way back in the Middle Ages!!!!
Im more of a moderist these days , loving the Classics!
Anything pre-Universe can bite my shiny metal ass!!
This release will obviously be welcomed for the hardcore G1 folk which is cool

He means the 'bot mode. the AM JV is a bright metallic pink as opposed to the purple of AM V, and why you're refering to said pink as purple is.....*facepalm*
He's basically wants the JVG to have a purple robot mode instead of a pink one. And the pink really is weird when the JV's are purple on screen.

You put G1 Fort Max ahead of G1 Jetfire? No matter how much of a chance other G1 toys have of getting reissues, that one will never EVER get an official reissue.
