CNN.com along with numerous other news outlets, are reporting that the Writers' Guild of America has officially voted to end their 3-month long strike. The WGA members' votes were tallied 48 hours after meeting this weekend to discuss the new contract regarding revenues and royalties of DVD sales and new media revenue, like internet streaming. The strike, which began on November 5th 2007, stalled numerous television shows, and even threatened to delay the production of many films, including the sequel to the 2007 Transformers Movie, which is scheduled for release on June 26th 2009. This follows last week's news of a tentative deal between the writers and the studios.

See the news on CNN.com by clicking here.

Now that the strike is officially over, writers should be geting back to work in the coming week, allowing the production of Dreamworks and Paramount's Transformers Movie sequel, directed by Michael Bay, to continue without delay.

Cool. It's not that I don't trust Bay's writing (I don't) but having some dedicated writers finalize the TF 2 script makes me feel a lot better. Also looking forward to the end of Scrubs. Glad the writers got a deal they can live with.

Agreed MB2. to many people forget about the other production staffers such as set crews, site locators, make up artists, and so on who've lost their jobs because of this.

Vindictive as I am, I would love to see at least one of these teamster unions strike now just to put the writers in their shoes.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm always happy to see hard working people get payed. However I'm also always agrivated to see hard working people suffer cause someone else is scurring for an extra buck at "screw 'ems" expence!

See I can live without TV and TF2 being pushed back a hair longer. So it's the worker in me who'd like to put that shoe on another foot!

You know that it's all thanks in part to the Directors Guild for being the real grown-ups. The Writers Guild were acting like a bunch of spoiled babies; the producers and heads of the big companies were acting like teen parents who didn't know the first thing about taking care of children.

We have to remember that flesh creatures control the entertainment industry. And the central processors of these flesh creatures tend to be unstable at times. I can name Britney Spears, Michael Richards, Mel Gibson, O.J. Simpson, Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise from the front banks of my central processor.

This good news. TF2 can no longer blame the strike for any delays. Plus I can watch new episodes of my favorite shows.
