WAHOO!! Goshooter won! Goshooter won!

Now we just need the other nine to also get made later on since all ten are now canon.

I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of the others show up in later years, especially if they continue with 2 volumes a year.

I really hope that A3 comes to pass.

I hope they come to pass, I want my Omnibots

Speaking of Omnibots, a little correction: back in G1, Camshaft's and Downshift's names were switched for Japan, and here it's the same case. JP Camshaft or US Downshift (Wheeljack mold) is in 8th place and JP Downshift or US Camshaft (Ironhide mold) is in last place.

And just for fun I decided to add the percentages: 103.1%. Note I'm counting Smokescreen and Overdrive each as 2.9% as they're tied, not together. :-?

I wish I had another hand so I could give this choice three thumbs down.

I'm done with Headmasters who don't have transforming heads.

Yeah, I have to say... I'd probably have picked them up if they did them as a line. They should do an omnibot box set... and a diaclone box set.

Bit of trivia about the Silverbolt toy, had it been made, it would have been called "Metals Silverbolt", being a Transmetal 2 body for him.

Why Transmetal 2? It's more like a regular symmetric Transmetal body (with the wolf/eagle bits probably switching positions) without the third mode.

My guess is that the Fuzors were considered akin to the regular Transmetals, level-wise, with an upgraded Silverbolt being akin to the next step in Beast Wars body forms: Transmetal 2.

Goshooter had better use the new Nightbeat head, since that would be screen accurate. It'd be a waste for them not to use that head ... other Goshooter will just have a Bumblebee head.

It will use the Nightbeat head. Takara didn't have any stock photography of Nightbeat to recolor (since they haven't released that version of the figure), so they had to recolor their TG26 Bumblebee Goldbug stock photo instead.

It should look something like this:

Well million publishing lost a possible costumer today, oh well.

I'm so damn tired of non-headmaster headmasters, especially after hasbros brainstorm and funpubs scorpinok. Someone somewhere im the development process in hasbro and takara (I know million publishing distributes these figures but that's besides the point) should say we should leave the headmasters on the backburner until we can make them have heads that turn into little men from this point on.
Re: Hero-X / Million Publishing Exclusive Poll Results (1592577)
Posted by gothsaurus on July 22nd, 2014 @ 1:38pm CDT
Yeah, working headmasters would be amazing.

As a side note, I have to say... even with the club/botcon's limitations by Hasbro/Takara (i.e. which molds, characters, how many retools, etc.) — they really knocked that Scorponok out of the park. That G1 retool head looks the best out of ANY of the original G1 heads. Seeing it side-by-side with the old ones really accentuates how good it looks.

Out of all the old gimmicks, the headmaster one had the best playability. You could change the traits, look, and personality of the figures... team them up... swap around. It had deep reaching implications... more so than just swapping a weapon. (and the Pretenders were a bit too He-Man looking in their odd, mustached bodies.)

I'd love to see the headmaster gimmick brought back as a main line for Generations so we could actually swap heads... I'd like this more than any other gimmick.

That... and real Omnibots.

Oh, god, why?! That mold is my least favorite mold since.... Well gosh, I don't even know when. That mold is just sooo terrible. It's absurdly rare for me to like a Transformer in Alt Mode than in Robot Mode... Even though I AM happy to have an official Goldbug Goldfire, that mold is just the pits.

Alpha Trion needed to win.

In all seriousness, at the end of the Masterforce cartoon, every "-master" type Transformer became fully living beings that no longer relied on their toy gimmicks to transform or be alive, save for Hydra and Buster who were a different case.

Based on the fact that like the Godmaster ones, the Headmaster Jr. Transtectors gained proper life after Masterforce? I mean, Minerva and God Ginrai appeared in Victory as proper Transformers, not as, shall we say, human-controled mechs.

It's a turn of phrase from Penn & Teller

Anyhow look, just because the cartoon said they becamereal boys, doesn't mean that we don't primarily associate them as (insert)masters. Here's an analogy, Later in their career, A-Ha did a heartfelt emotional cover crying in the rain, but that doesn't matter, all we'll remember them for is take on me. Goshooter = Headmaster, A-ha = Take on Me

i honestly thought the choices were pretty meh. alpha trion was the winner to me, but theyve done enough with that mold already and ive got the original botcon A3. personally id have been happier with a black drift, as unimaginative as that would have been.

not only do i have no idea who goshooter is, but that IDW BB mold is the weakest modern mold i can think of.

GoShooter is Shuta one of the Headmaster Jrs. from Masterforce.

IDW BB needs a tune up but that little head remolded will not get the transformable treatment. Millionth Publishing best offerings have been Stepper and Artfire.

Wait... Alpha Trion didn't win? Heresy, I say!

In all seriousness though, I'm really surprised Alpha Trion didn't get it.

On a related note, will the other choices be something that can be churned out at a later date, i.e Takara decides to mass-produce and release to mass-retail the Fallen?

bvzxa wrote:Hasbro stated if they sell they may do one more.

Source? I haven't seen anything that says that if Brainstorm sells (which I'm 99.99999999% sure that he will smash through expectations and make more money than they thought he would) that they'd consider making another Headmaster or -master based character.

"Shuta Go", yeah. The name "Goshooter" comes from writing his full name in the Japanese format of "Last Name, First Name". "Go Shuta" = "Goshooter".

And for those wondering why he would even have a first and last name, well, he began his life as a human preteen:

ausbot wrote:If he comes with an Arms micron that may tip me over the edge and get this figure.
Oh, he most definitely will come with some sort of Micron/Mini-Con, be it a Power Core Combiner Mini-Con mold (which I'm betting on) or an Arms Micron mold.

All ten of these guys were to come with a Mini-Con/Micron of some sort. Well, Alpha Trion would have gotten a companion made from a non-Micron mold: Vector Sigma redecoed from the Beast Wars Eggbot mold.

Mindmaster wrote:Wait... Alpha Trion didn't win? Heresy, I say!

In all seriousness though, I'm really surprised Alpha Trion didn't get it.
To me, the Alpha Trion redeco looks less like Alpha Trion and more like Scourge cosplaying as Alpha Trion, as that headsculpt is very very Scourgey no matter what color it's in. :P

Mindmaster wrote:On a related note, will the other choices be something that can be churned out at a later date, i.e Takara decides to mass-produce and release to mass-retail the Fallen?
I get the feeling that we'll probably have to rely on future Million Publishing Generations books to get all ten of these figures made real.

You wouldn't of been able to vote anyway, if I recall correctly it was only open to residents of Japan. Hence why a Japanese only character (for a while at least) won it.

Yeah you could vote with purchases for Shouki & Daniel. You'd write in the name of the figure you wanted to vote for. So it was limited to people in Japan (as you need a Japanese address), who purchased the Generations book, who purchased Shouki & Daniel.

I had a friend vote for me. Also limiting it to the people who purchased Shouki assured that they're limiting it to the population that is most likely to buy these exclusives in the first place, as they've already spent the money on the book and are committing to buying Shouki.

I don't know much about Diaclone from a Japanese perspective, but it looks like the fan club is correct, a Diaclone colored set of exclusives may not be like printing money... police sunstreaker got a very tiny percentage of the vote... Even less than a Fallen repaint on a cruddy mold...

Or maybe people dislike the sideswipe/sunstreaker mold more than I know. I remember all of the hoots and gasps when that mold was initially shown in slides at Botcon.

I like GoShooter as a choice. I don't love it. Even if I can get over that he's not a headmaster, Siren in IDW is not either that we know of, and with the info shared by others of him no longer being an HM anyway, but it's not an AWESOME choice. Please throw Magnificus into the category of Million Publishing home runs (I believe he was by Million, as was the cool black/grey/clear Mirage). Artfire was a great choice, but QC really caused that one to be less well thought of... I think.
