Yeah, but this isn't adhering to that particular scale since the average Maximals and Predacons were closer to human-sized. They'd need Legends and Legion toys to better match that.Agent 53 wrote:It would make sense for the Maximals and Predacons to be smaller than the Autobots and Decepticons, if we remember from the show they were significantly shorter than them

Tall Deluxe size, but without the large gaps and hollow spots. This is the third WFC line, we should be used to classes no longer being based on height.

Not to mention he also has two swords, posable fingers, and his two over the shoulder guns, so he's quite better both accessory and posability wise compared to deluxes

Standard sized deluxe with accessories, that you have to make another purchase to get all of his accessories. Nothing new about that
Not sure I'll be able to rationalise £40 for a netflix deco of him but Hasbro can pull out all the stops when it is least expected.

Heck even the 10th anniversary/Cybertron Primal had a big hunk of plastic hover board thrown in.
This Primal looks to be about the same height but chunkier / heavier than that one though. Still $30 is bordering on excessive. While depending on the actual transformation and features may or may ot be palatable for some.
For me, still keeping him pre-ordered unless there's something in a future review I really dislike about him.
Last time I passed on an Optimus Primal for not feeling him too much at the time it took me 2 decades and a repaint / release to get him at a decent price.

Yup.
The Siege Ironhide mold may be tall, but you could make an icecube tray out of him for all the gaps and hollows.

1) Ironhide is a tall deluxe who accomplishes his size by being very hollow. He probably weighs about as much as prowl if we're being honest.
2) Primal is gonna be a hefty boy. Before we even get into parts count he appears solid enough to weigh in at about the same plastic volume as his counterparts if we put them on a scale, and he's made up of quite a few parts at that, before we even take the paint budget into account. This is gonna be a thicc munkey.
3) he'll probably look pretty good riding PotP Optimus Primal as a hover board

I will never be used to that.
Also, I've always been told size doesn't matter.

That implies an unfortunate circumstance.

That's right, size doesn't matter. A short and girthy Voyager is every bit as good as a tall skinny one.

Primal has a rather simple transformation comparing to other figures we have gotten in the WFC trilogy, his arms don't even change between modes.

but he does have the pop-out guns in his arms, I'd sooner take that

What's wrong with Hotrod's size? The 86 guys were all on the large side.

He's a Deluxe-sized Voyager like Optimus Primal (though, Primal is more of an in-between since he's the same size as Ironhide, who is already tall for a Deluxe).sol magnus wrote:Autobot N wrote:Odd that Primal's size is generating outrage, but the vast majority of people seem completely fine with SS Hot Rod. He comes with a lot of accessories. Size is important, but not the end all be all. I'll be just fine with my 30.00 Hot Rod.

I'm pretty sure it's the same few people complaining about the same thing in both threads

Twintwist/Topspin even Kup got retconned as tall deluxes but not poor ol' Punch it's like the shrinking over time chocolate bars.

I heard just as much annoyance with Hot Rod.

According to Appolux there should be a mainline release of Pipes that looks just as accurate, but comes with two little fusion cannon like weapons

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

EDIT: Also, this is the EXACT same set of Deluxes as that alleged wave breakdown "leak" from 4chan, and since the only one saying it was fake was Pixelmaster, who has since soft-confirmed a bunch of the Selects in said leak (and who's credibility some people are doubting now when it comes to exact details), I feel like that leak might be right after all.

If she does have kibble then it must be the wings. IMO.
I'm still probably going to get her, but I'd still like to see more images of her first.

I think all of the boxes have that space, it gives the cardboard some separation from the back of the packaging to compensate the lack of a plastic tray. But yeah, also useful to keep accessories and backpacks. If it's hiding anything in the case of Airazor, it's probably her wings.
I also thought she was Dinobot at first glance! What's up with that? Glad she isn't, though, would've been seriously lacking in blue.
Primal is looking just... well, you know the joke, I'm not making it again. He's great.

Airrazor looks good but hard to tell, it might have cheetor like issues.
The fossiliser looks like it ate a legends figure or a duplo block. Looking forward to better images. Seems kinda reminiscent of Killpunch/guildart and the cybertron rhino guy with his bulk and if he has a hidden weapon/part for one of the other bots.
Huffer looks good and deluxe sized rather than cliffjumper. I'll still be keeping my wrecker wannabe botcon ikkle Huffer to hang with the mini bots but will likely pick up this Huffer too.

And im excited to see better images of airrazor, a figure that actually looks like the character for once haha

I wouldn't be so sure of huffers size, he's got more of a cardboard base and the picture has been digitally stitched together, I think he's like Cliffjumper.

It is important to note that you rate not seeing the complete figures when it comes to Airazor and Arcee since the cardboard is hiding their kibble and people who have seen the Airrazor figure did comment how the large falcon wings are present in robot mode, making a large backpack.
Also, Pipes is said to be coming as a mainline figure in a later wave.

Nemesis Primal wrote:Airazor looks pretty great (although I don't see the missiles Apollux mentioned, accessories are hard to track in this packaging), Ractonite's full body looks hilariously stupid and I love it, and while I have zero interest in Huffer, that should make a nice Pipes, especially with what Apollux said.
The accessories are accessed from the box side of the packaging in the hollow area underneath their feet. The collectible "Golden Disc" card is accessed from the backside as well.

We know it's her wings, we can see how they will be prominent on her robot mode on her box art.
