We were very successful last time, asking some great questions.
So what questions are on the forefront of your thoughts?
*There are some rules to submitting the questions:
1.) Straightforward.
2.) No multi-part questions.
3.) Not all questions will get answered or even officially asked.
4.) Appropriate and important, timely to the brand.
5.) Do not turn this into a criticism of each other's questions or HASBRO, in general. However, if information is already known--and you know it has been answered and have a source-- that would be an acceptable response so as not to have wasted questions.
We may not submit more than 5 questions, and they should have priority rankings (staff will choose and prioritize).
First round of questions will be submitted by a staff member on December 1st.
This is an awesome opportunity to ask questions that you have wanted answered. This privilege also speaks highly of our community and the important ideas we share daily.
At the date of submission, you will be informed of the questions chosen, and then when/if they are answered the news will be shared with our community.
So please, start typing your serious TRANSFORMERS toy questions...
The first round thread of questions on Seibertron is located here, and the links to all the answered questions from all the participating websites can be found here.
Please do us a favor and try not to ask a question that has already been answered. We really want to be able to maximize this opportunity to its fullest.
Thanks...let's start asking.

1) Why are there so many design flaws in recent figures? (e.g. Universe Ironhide's head doesn't sit right, Animated Jazz's nunchuks being of different lengths)
2) Why are figures sometimes painted differently to what is on the box? (e.g. Animated Snarl's club is all orange when it should have black according to the box and Bumblebee's rocket boosters are meant to be red-tipped according to the box but they're actually just silver-tipped).
3) Are there any more Universe figures planned for release after Wave 05?
4) How many more figures are planned for the Animated line that haven't been revealed yet?
5) Why are the Animated Jetstorm and Jetfire figures so badly designed as not to even have proper hands or sensible modes?
6) Why are so many possible translucent windows substituted out for paint such as all-spark blue paint on Animated Ratchet and Universe Ironhide?

1. Will there be more "completely show-accurate" versions of characters from past lines like the upcoming show-accurate Universe Deluxe Starscream figure?
2. I hear that we are getting a Robot Heroes figure of Victory Saber. Will we be seeing more releases of Japanese-exclusive characters from The Headmasters, Chojin Masterforce, Victory, Zone, Return of Convoy, Operation Combination, Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo, or any other Japanese Transformers series?
3. Since the Japanese-exclusive G1 cartoon series (The Headmasters, Chojin Masterforce, Victory, and Zone) were released on DVD in Europe and Australia, is there any hope of seeing them, and perhaps Beast Wars II and Neo, released on DVD in North America? Particularly the United States.
4. Is there any chance of seeing the Robotmasters/Beast Wars Telemocha series molds of Deluxe class Optimus Primal and/or Deluxe class Beast Wars Megatron released in the States?
5. What was the reason for all of the production flaws with the first few waves of the Transformers Animated figures?

I'll try to think of some better questions later
Ok, I got one for now; are there any plans to release Masterpiece Grimlock outside of Japan? and If so would he get a differnet paint scheme?
[does that count as a multi-part question? -if so forget the last bit]
Edited: all over the place

They've answered that they will be looking to bring a Masterpiece out next fall. One can only imagine it will be Grimmy.

2. Any chance of a classics/universe Scourge, Blitzwing, or Springer in G1 style?
3. Will we see animated Omega Supreme as a supreme class figure?
4. Will we see Masterpiece Grimlock or any other <asterpiece figures in the USA?
5. Will we see Classics/Universe Dirge and Thrust as we are getting in the Henkei line?
Posted by Scaleface on November 6th, 2008 @ 8:07pm CST
Will the final three Target exclusive movie scouts see the light of day (Reverb, Backtrack and Gunbarrel)?
Leo Prime from Universe started life as Classic Legends Leo Prime. Will any of the other Classic Legends ever see life as full sized toys? (Perceptor, Trypticon, Whirl, Menasor)
Will we see the Seekers from Animated all made in a single size class eventually, even if it's a box set of Legends Seekers?
With the cost of remolding for a new face/head or faction symbol so high, why aren't all new molds made without a molded faction symbol and with multiple heads/faces from the start, so a remold would be easy to do later down the start? For instance, why not make several different faces for Animated Voyager Starscream so that the other seekers would have diffent expressions.
With the popularity of the Henkei line with US collectors, wouldn't Hasbro sell if they just put the Henkei toys as HTS store exclusives for the US market?
The Japanese Micromaster combiners were reissued in Japan then released in the Universe line (as Superion, Devastator and Rail Racer) - any chance we will see the Landcross combiners released next like they were in Japan?

2. Has ILM provided you with all of the concepts from TF: ROTF? If so, when did you get them? This question relates to the one mentioned just above.
3. Since the Universe line was a filler between the first movie and the Animated line, will we be seeing the same filler between ROTF and TF3?
4. The question has been tossed around before on the forums: just what percentage of the market share for Transformers do those of us who are collectors make up?
5. With the current economic climate, do you make extra efforts to make toys (not just Transformers) that won't break parents' budgets or does the economy really not make a difference in the planning stages for your toy lines?

2) Why has Hasbro stated that there are "too many large tank molds" to make a new mold for voyager Galvatron, and yet every Universe wave sees a new deluxe car mold?

Will the TF:ROTF figures BE premium editions? I don't want to spend a lot of money early only to find out better ones are coming out later.
Also, will there be Universe Skywarp and Thundercracker?

It's so you can hang him off a pice of wire. Does'nt Galvatron look cool jumping off a ship and attaching himself to a zipline as he fights Autobots?
Okay, now for some real question:
The news we've heard about Devastator is quite interesting. Is it possible for Hasbro to tell us whether or not the constructicons are actually drones controlled by one main robot or if they are in fact several different robots each with their own free thought?
When can we expect to see Universe Superion and Bruticus on shelves?

2. Would it be possible for HasbroToyshop to start selling unpainted Classics seekers, using the Starscream/Acid storm etc mold, the same way they sell Black and White Blank Mighty Muggs?
3. Is there any chance of an online poll for new TF figure choices in the same vein as the star wars "Fans' Choice" figures?
4. Is there any chance of a new G1 continuity/style animated production, perhaps direct to DVD/Blue ray?
5. Given Hasbro's ownership of Wizards Of The Coast, is there any chance of a Transformers Pencil and Paper RPG being brought to market?

Would it be possible to use the BW2 and BW Neo shows and toys in the US after the ROTF toys are done?

3) With the release of Classics Constructicon Devastator, and Universe Superion and Bruticus, does Hasbro have any plans to produce a Generation One Technobots, Predacons or Terrorbots combiner sets at some point?
Those are really the only ones I can think of.

2. Will we be getting a figure of Arcee in the Universe series, hopefully as a futuristic car?
Also, I second these questions:
Any chance of a classics/universe Scourge, Blitzwing, or Springer in G1 style?
Would you consider making a new continuation or revamped "Generation One" animated series to better sell the Classics toys?

Are there any plans on re-igniting the Universe line after the movie figures have run their course?
Posted by Point on November 7th, 2008 @ 1:28am CST
2. Can we see Armada TF's in Robot Heroes with even smaller (and cuter) Mini-Con partners?
3. More show accurate Beast Machines in Classics (ex. Voyager Silverbolt and Ultra Tankor)?
4. Japanese, Classics and Alternator/Binaltech Robot Heroes? (Just LOVE Robot Heroes!)

Chillax man. If you don't like my questions, don't submit them! They did not go into specifics abot G1 or masterpiece future plans in round 1. My questions were an attempt to force the issue instead of allowing vague answers to stand. Must have missed the answer about omega supreme. Thanks for the warm welcome to seibertron, dude.

That is not cool
what part of your response did you find insulting? you got some of your questions answered and a polite message (that was aimed at everone) to check other peoples questions and you treat it as if someone had told you to go feck yourself, not only that your excuse for repeat questions was to get specifics yet you asked the EXACT question I asked in the post above yours so it seems clear that you did not check any of the previous posts

2. Answered. They said they like to pull inspirations from all points of the fandom, especially the comics, when it is appropriate.
3. Answered. They said that they like the combining play idea, but it is difficult and costly to create them, so there were no current plans for any new gestalt combining toys.

3. Answered. We asked that here at Seibertron last time, and they answered that they liked the idea, but a Transformers fans choice is much harder to run because of the difficulty in creation of new molds, and the limitations of repaints. For example, they cannot just Frankentstein together a bot that transforms, like they can a GI JOE figure that uses other joe parts, and yet with the right paint job and weapons, looks like the fan choice character. The TFs are all too unique and have the extra transforming factor.
Nothing is in the works, but is an idea they like.

Lucky Draw seems pretty limited...
Posted by nightbolt on November 7th, 2008 @ 6:07am CST
Will we see Energon Wing Saber, who is rediculously overpriced online, get a reissue as Star Sabre in the 25th Anniversary line?
Why not revive some of the obscure characters (King Atlas etc.) from the first Universe line?
Why not repaint Energon Starscream into Universe Classics Sunstorm (make the translucent parts orange)?
that's all for now.

1. Whatever happened to the RealGear Robots on HasbroToyShop.com Farsight T-20, Midnighter XR-4, and Twitcher F451? They were available there for a few months (never saw a release in local stores) but have now all but disappeared without a trace.
2. When will the official "Transformers Action Figure Checklist" located at http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/defa ... /Checklist be updated to accurately list all official figures? Are the new Micromasters not official Hasbro Transformers? What about all of the new Marvel Crossovers and the old and new Star Wars Crossovers? They are all Hasbro toys with "Transformers" lettering on the packaging. I am simply trying to ensure I have all of the figures.
Thanks!

and finally,
3.) Instead of designing a new mold for Bludgeon, which the plug was pulled on, is there any chance of seeing a straight repaint of Cybertron Unicron?

I should probably expand on this with an example.
What is Hasbro's rule for permitting exclusives & special editions? Fans are buying these with the assumption that they will be rare and limited. Is this true? For example - Special Edition Dragstrip & Overkill are seeing a wide distribution in Asia, SDCC Nemesis Prime & Hotrod Binaltech also had a wide distribution.

are there going to be any new universe combinors in the series?
any plans for more master piece dinobots, or maybe combiners.?
Posted by Stormrider on November 7th, 2008 @ 10:04pm CST
Question -
1. What is the relationship with TakaraTomy regarding rights and limitations? For instance, are there particular series or figures that owned by one company and leased to the other, and how does that affect distribution?
2. Why doesn't Hasbro offer collector cards with bios like Takara does with their Transformers figures?
3. Have they ever considered packaging the toys with points like they did in the old days and offer "lucky draws"?
4. Will we see more products for collectors in the near future?
5. (I can't remember if this was covered last time) - Will Hasbro be reissuing anymore G1 like the Encore series?

They answered this last time. They said that offering a Universe Thundercracker could be possible. But it definitely won't be done now. There are too many other characters that they would like to produce first before reissuing a character a second time.

2) Trypticon. He's so cool. Any plans on rereleasing him from Hasbro or Takara?
3) Any plans to rerelease (or redesign) all of the cassette-bots? It's great to see them get reworked (Ratbat, Overkill) but what made them so cool was their uniformity as cassettes, all turning into something different.
4) Is it possible to alter the paint application, or slightly remold Classics/Universe Ratchet, so he doesn't have windows running down his alt-mode's sides? I've been looking forward to this toy- but the windows just look like a last minute addition.

Skywarp was ALREADY released over here in Classics, in the 2-pack with Ultra Magnus.
Staracream was ALREADY release in the classics line but they are also releasing a Universe vesrion. So I think a Universe Skywarp and Thundercracker version that we can ALL get would be good.

- It's great to see that other TF lines are getting some love in the Universe line, but what happened with Cheetor and Dinobot? I mean, Cheetor looks like an amalgamation of his 4 versions and Dinobot just looks... off.
- Previous question aside, will we see more Beasties characters? (Universe Depthcharge and Rampage could work as a two-pack with a DVD or something. Maybe make one a Voyager and one a Deluxe, like the Comic Packs.)
- Since Universe spans TF history, is there any chance of seeing a Transtech figure or another "figure that never was"/"Lost Figure"? A "What Might Have Been" segment of the Timeline could be interesting to say the least!
