Transformers Prime was acquired by Singapore's kids' channel Okto as well as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. They both have daytime slots on the English-language channel.
TVB Jade in Hong Kong has picked up Transformers Prime to be launched this month. Transformers Prime will also be shown on South Korean EBS public broadcaster to appeal to an older kids' audience.

No word on Japan yet, historically don't they usually like a couple seasons finished before airing Transformers shows?

Hasbro also struck a deal with Discovery Kids to air The Adventures of Chuck and Friends and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay.

If that was part of a larger deal with Cartoon Network to have the Hub produce a new season of TF Animated, I'd be on board with that.
Not to hate on TFPrime, so far it's technically okay, but as the show Animated was cancelled to make way for, it just feels like a letdown, as it lacks the soul and direction of its predecessor. Despite some excess silliness, Animated seemed to have a purpose: to combine elements from all corners of TF history into something new that could resonate with old and young fans alike. The mission statement of Prime seems to be just to make something that looks like a cross between the Bay films and WFC and...meander forward. It even falls a bit flat as a toy commercial because it doesn't make you care too much about the characters (did no one even bother to decide if the "Vehicons" are sentient or drones?) or how their introductions and removals change the dynamic; in most episodes the Autobots are desperately outmatched by the main force of Decepticons, but Wheeljack just flew off at the end of his ep like he had something better to do, so...what are the stakes exactly? Sure we can assume the Cons will conquer stuff in the name of evil and whatnot, but it doesn't give the viewer a reason to care. Did I miss something about how Cybertron could potentially be dezombified and restored?
It still has enough potential to make it worth following, assuming someone at the helm starts caring about where it's going. Our fellow Transfans far south are better off getting this than nothing.
Ah, if only TFA had somehow worked in the Optimus, Malignus, and Bat Robo factions...

How about you explain to me why you're not banned yet? all you've been saying for the past two months is unnecessarily negative bullshit.

Now that Hasbro has it´s own channel I think it´s still possible for them to produce a TV Movie to serve as a season 4 for Animated. I agree with everything you said about Transformers Prime, also I think it feels like the show is just an obstacle for a more satisfactory ending to Animated.
The only episode that kind of made have some feeling is One Shall Fall, the rest is like, what ever.

so far the thing i like the least of prime was the fact they characterised wheeljack as a wrecker rather than a mad scientist and buddy to ratchet
loving the decepticons especially knock out

Ho yeah, I forgot about that. Still, it wouldn´t be terrible if they just leave the TF Prime proyect for an Animated one.

To Hasbro, Animated was something like filler. Prime is the show that they've always wanted to do.Janus Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Except for the fact that Cartoon Network still partly owns Animated.
