Fellow Seibertronian o.supreme has shared with us a map Hasbro posted on the official Facebook page.

It shows what you can map out if you purchase the entire line. The most important part though is that it shows Earthrise is getting 4 waves. While there have been many rumours, most have been for exclusives, since they were not part of assortment listings. So let us know what you think we'll be getting in different classes.

Below is the map and what they had to say:

The #Transformers universe is vast! Discover it all with the in-pack map puzzle pieces. One piece is included with select #Earthrise figures. Compare your collection to this Wave 1 map key and tell us how far along you are!

Flashwave wrote:Honestly, having him in hand, while I wish the trailer was bigger from a play value, certainly a bit longer, asthetically I am glad it isnt bigger, or it would way overhang Optimus.
True (although it wouldn't overhang any worse than the 1984 toy or CW Magnus/TR Optimus), because not only are both main versions of WFC Optimus a bit lacking in robot mode height.. their truck cab modes are basically the same size as the O-scale (1:48) G1 toy, while the other SIEGE/ER Autobots are in the 1:32 ballpark (give or take the Minibot effect).

That size issue would be a big reason why I'm still using CW Optimus as my basic CHUG G1 Optimus. He's a bit chunky, and has faux-parts chest windows and "Unintentional butterfly joints" syndrome, but he's still fun and I like his size better. ER Optimus' having that Matrix and having the trailer at all are enough to make me want to get him at some point (unlike SIEGE, which I did not bother trying to track down), but he's still low-priority.

I'm fairly certain whatever is left in Earthrise re-issues and maybe the odd redeco of a Voyager or Leader. I don't really expect any new molds in the larger size class and we know most Deluxes up to Wave 3. So, my theories:
-At least one new late wave Deluxe which will leave us baffled like Siege Spinister
-A Smokescreen Redeco (Deluxe)
-Inferno retool of Grapple (Voyager)
-Optimus Prime Re-release or Redeco (Leader)
These are those I'm the most certain of. A third Astrotrain release make no sense and Doubledealer has no obvious main line retool, meaning Optimus will be back on those shelves in some form, especially due to Hasbro pushing it as THE G1 Optimus figure.

I didn't put any Seeker because its always hard to judge who will be main line and who gets to be some annoying exclusive. Those are just my predictions I'm, lets say, 90% certain.

Yes, as an individual listed release, not under an assortment. So we have no clue who will be released in the actual 4th wave.
I'm guessing Bumblebee

I'm hoping against hope that the last Leader will be a new mold and will turn out to be "submarine" Megatron.

I find the phrasing, "included with select #Earthrise figures." interesting. Could just mean they won't be included with exclusives, but I'm still not ruling out a wave 5. Delays are going to happen and I'm not at all optimistic about wave 3 coming out this year, may as well stretch things out instead of starting the new line in the summer.

Either way, it would be nice if Hasbro made that poster available for us to glue our map pieces to. Either stick them in stores for free or give them away on Pulse with orders, but I really want that.

I want to say the Thrust listing is basically guaranteed to be retail, since it was the only one of those specific listings that we don't have Selects confirmation for and we know that that listing system had already revealed individual retail figures that had their own listings (Arcee, Quintesson, etc.), so he's probably retail, but who knows. He shouldn't be Selects, at the very least, Conehead retooling would have to be a main line thing or a regular exclusive thing.

I kinda missed the bulk of the Optimus Prime speculation, but there is that Alternate Universe Optimus Prime listing floating around to keep in mind, which is either an Amazon exclusive or just a retail probably-Leader-class figure. I also seem to recall that a credible leaker on TFW that predicted the theme of the line, Starscream, Doubledealer, Sky Lynx, etc. before the NYCC reveal also said that somewhere in Earthrise we're getting "an RiD figure update with a base mode", so that could possibly be related to that topic of a second Optimus.

Emerje wrote:Either way, it would be nice if Hasbro made that poster available for us to glue our map pieces to. Either stick them in stores for free or give them away on Pulse with orders, but I really want that.

Maybe the poster comes with Scorponok? We know Sky Lynx has a map piece, it was shown at Australia Toy Fair (I believe it was that event), but I don't think we know anything about if Scorpy has one, and if any figure were to come with a poster for the map, I would think the line's Titan would be it.

I've said it before but Hasbro's plans for one generations line a year really went out the window didn't they

Also I reckon they'd easy put doubledealer out again as either machine wars Soundwave and/or Stalker (probably MW Soundwave will be a Selects release) and we still have that Alternative Prime listing (can't remember if it had a size class with it, as it could be a Siege redeco...or ER Prime redeco/retool and everything in between)

We already know he is, he was found on the TRU system in canada.
But he will be a retail exclusive.
Which means he'll probably be a target exclusive in the US.
Anyone want another red card exclusive?

God no, I'm still not done complaining about/tracking down a retail price listing for the original one (although eBay scares me right now anyway due to current events anyway).

...although then again, the only Conehead I'm REALLY excited for is Ramjet, so I suppose I would only complain on principle with Thrust.

ZeroWolf wrote:...and we still have that Alternative Prime listing (can't remember if it had a size class with it, as it could be a Siege redeco...or ER Prime redeco/retool and everything in between)

AU OP is/was Leader Class priced on Amazon, meaning that it's either a repaint/retool of ER Prime, a multipack of a Siege Prime repaint/retool with Battlemasters or something, or maybe it's own unique Leader mold, depending on exactly which Prime it is?

I would think one of the waves would have a Nemesis Prime as a redec of G1 Optimus. It's been a while since we've gotten a wide release Nemi, and a G1 version would be well recieved I'd think.

I'm partially hoping that the AU Prime is Shattered Glass Prime to go with Rodimus Unicronus from POTP. Or if they maybe did a different trailer similar to Galaxy Upgrade, they might do Nova Prime? Cause technically Shattered Glass Prime did turn into Nova, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for Nova.

If it's not either of them though, I'm really hoping it's Toxitron, mostly because eBay's prices for either Animated or CW Toxitron are ridiculous  Though, I'd be more expecting him to come from a potential G2 update next part, assuming they can't think of another G1 Prime design to make

So the map reveals something else interesting. Based on the shape of the battle master and micro master map pieces, and the map overall, the total number of battle and micro masters in Earthrise has to be divisible by 3. We currently know of 9, so that means there will be either 3 or 6 more revealed to finish out waves 3 and 4.

G2 Optimus Prime (that isn't Laser Rod) is kind of a redundant design. I'm hoping for Shattered Glass (its an obvious redeco) or, even if I doubt it, its an AU Optimus Prime like RiD 2001 or Armada. Unlikely, mind you.

I was meaning Laser Rod. I always forget that the original got rereleased with a modified trailer  But I was mainly hoping for that so we could finally get Toxitron's original design

It'd be a pretty fun figure I think, plus the trailer could be compatible with the new base system. But, we just got Laser Rod in Titans Return, so it's probably just as unlikely as a new RiD 2001 or Armada Prime

Apparently Doubledealer's molded in engine component, isn't actually molded on. It's on 5mm peg, allowing for one to plug the engine onto the back of SELECTS Knok

A 1:1 redo of Laser Rod is the only G2 Optimus Prime I'd want and this is because of nostalgia for a KO of it I had as a kid, which made it my first Optimus Prime (not Primal).

I've felt the same way. The idea was to keep changing the packaging so retail stores would keep ordering. Didn't really work out that way though.

They cut PotP short, extended Siege, and now are running Siege repaints into the ground with Netflix releases. I mean to release the same seeker mold 8 or so times as different characters is novel, but to release the same Megatron 5 or 6 times STILL as Megatron just in different colors gets stale. I know it's all a mind game, but it seems to be getting worse, but the toys are getting better, but some QC issues are getting worse, so it's really a mixed bag right now. I'm hoping Earthrise wave 4 has some new surprises , even if they end up being scarce rereleasing in the first wave of the last part of the trilogy as was the case with Earthrise

I've always wondered why there were so few figures, with Orthia being split across three lines and King Starscream only having two Decepticon limbs as the rest where Abominus. Siege feels like a lifetime in comparison. Can't wait to see what else Earthrise brings, as there are quite a few unknowns according to that map.

@ o.supreme I think ZeroWolf was mainly talking about the pandemic throwing everything off the rails.

From what I understand, Elita and Starscream never really had full limb sets planned, ditto for Inferno. They were combiners out of mandatory gimmick uniformity (and Inferno was a leftover from Combiner Wars' development).
Re: Hasbro Shares Earthrise Map Showing 4 Waves of Product (2062232)
Posted by o.supreme on April 25th, 2020 @ 8:16pm CDT
Yeah it's unfortunate, CW and TR were 18 month lines, but the distribution woes of TR forced Hasbro to change strategies, and cut the lines to 12 months, which is having its own challenges as we see. It's pretty obvious when you see toys that clearly would have been in later waves of PotP get scattered across Siege, Selects, and online retailer exclusives.

@Zelda...I'm pretty sure with an additional wave the Starscream combiner could have been completed. Inferno was wholly unnecessary, just a cheap way to sell another toy unfortunately. But given now how voyagers and leaders have fewer figures per line, it further supports the idea that there was no need for Inferno, especially if, as most people believe, we'll get a nice redeco from Earthrise Grapple either late in ER or in the 3rd part of the WFC Trilogy.

Well, when I called PotP Inferno a CW leftover I was being literal. From what I've gathered, it had long been known or hinted at that his head was the alternate head for the Hot Spot version of the Hot Spot/Onslaught mold.

Frankly I would rather we had gotten the leftover from the Onslaught side of things instead: Demolishor.

Eh. IMO "Can combine" =/= "Needs a dedicated limb set". If anything, he could be Onslaught's understudy.

And the thing is, Demolishor would have been a good standalone G1 version of Demolishor for us, limbs or no limbs. Whereas PotP Inferno was already iffy as an Inferno representation thanks to the 2008 Universe toy that preceded him by ten years, and is going to receive a further pummeling on that front from the inevitable Earthrise Inferno.
Re: Hasbro Shares Earthrise Map Showing 4 Waves of Product (2062258)
Posted by ZeroWolf on April 26th, 2020 @ 5:51am CDT
I agree, just because they can combine, doesn't mean they need their own dedicated limbs. Look at Galvatronus, his bio indicates that he literally brainwashes other limbs into fusing with him. King Starscream, given his IDW development, could have easily fused with both bot and con limbs. Afterall it's mainly the adult fans who care about strict teams (kids brought up via parents with G1 non-withstanding) hasbro wanted kids to make their own Combiners out of whoever they could get, to just have fun with. Throwing further torsos into the mix to help customsise their personal combiner adds to this.
In any case, if Selects had existed as a line back in CW, inferno would have debuted then I reckon, but alas, Power of the Primes full potential as a line exists only as designers notes in what ever system they use to record development.

Also, yes I meant the pandemic interrupting the flow of events (though Siege extra wave also altered things, just think were we'd be now if Siege didn't have that extra wave, as Earthrise would have been seen on shelves before Xmas.)

I too think we needed Demolishor over Inferno, but honestly I think I prefer the POTP Inferno over the Uni one, the longer, sleeker alt mode sells it more for me than the toaster shaped pierce firetruck. In a vaccum, and it has the ladder.

Your suggestion is exactly what I would have done with Demolishor. Its what I did with Toxitron, with a mix of G2 Stunticons, Offroad, and Club Counterpunch, and what I did with Inferno, who is running around with 4 left over limbs approximating Rescue Force. (CW Strafe as skyfeather, CW Nosecone as Heatrock, CW Rook as the blue guy with the grabby claws, and Mirage as the Jarguar redeco, with Alpha Bravo masquerading as Flyup filling Rook's spot on Defensor)

All these non combners turned combiner are just placeholders anyway until we get a more definitive update of the characters so I don't think it really matterred who was released.

Scrounge and Impactor were done well (even if the comic snob in me would like to see Scrounge as an actual rolling wheel) but Straxus needs a new figure, at least a voyager size, but preferably a leader, even if it's a limited exclusive.

Sorry but no, Leader is too big for Straxus. And the only reason to even consider making him a Voyager would be to guarantee he could be properly chubby while also having his weapon.
Straxus. Was. A. Shortarse. Making a Leader-class Straxus would be like making a Leader-class Gears.

Disagree. He was a large-bodied Con who was taller than the coneheads and Blaster. So if they get voyager figures, Straxus needs to be a leader. But I'll settle for a voyager, considering he's a comic-only character and leader spots are scarce.

Seems to me he's only somewhat bigger than the Insecticons and evidently shorter than Dirge. He seems to be above Thrust and Ramjet, but only because of a combination of A. him standing on a raised platform and B. Perspective.

He's a big bigger relative to Shrapnel here, but sure as hell not Leader-class bigger.

He's drawn as towering on the cover of Issue 18, but that's a cover.

I know I'm in the minority, but I feel the opposite because in the original series every combiner team was just that, a team. Sure the idea of a powerful bot forcing others to combine is novel, butill take What TT did with UW Grand Galvatron any day over CW Cyclonus. Also the IDW version of the enigma of combination was pretty lame if you ask me. Dedicated teams all the way!

Back on topic, I'm just in the past 2 weeks finally starting to see ER toys at Walmart... better late than never

This makes me wonder if you ever read the comics he was in. He was on the wide side, sure, but he was taller than Blaster who was taller than all of the other Autobots in his team. He towered over Goldbug.

I'd say Straxus is a Voyager-Class easily. It's not even close.

Disappointing to see that the bulk of this last page has been off-topic. Let's get it back to Earthrise please.

I'd expect somewhere between late spring, and mid summer, assuming that HasTak sends pictures to IGN as per usual around SDCC time. But because it's cancelled, I partially expect to see reveals in the form of tweets that show off the features like a typical SDCC display.

Though, there is the possibility that we might not get any new reveals until after everything's over, depending on if HasTak extends Earthrise to continue next year to make up for the lack of sales

Probably not until Late Summer/Early Fall. The unrevealed wave isn't due out until the holidays this year.

If anything, I expect the majority of reveals over the next 4 months will be Selects or exclusives

So given that the map pieces have do far given locations from across TF lore, I wonder who will be the lucky figure that comes with the map fragment for earth?

I was alerted to a charge on my CC this morning by Target. It's for the pre-order of Snapdragon and the Quint. Probably just a temp charge to keep the order alive, but still interesting. The order still shows an ETA of Sep 2-7, so who knows.
