A Custom deco of Transformers: Robots In Disguise Warrior Class Bumblebee, on February 4th Hasbro has applied for a new Transformers Trademark "Minitron". A nick name Tom Brady gave Edelman for being basically smaller version of the physically dominant NFL wide receiver Calvin Johnson whose nick-name has been Megatron since 2007 when the first live action movie came out that very same year.

This deco is in the color of Patriots uniform... so the NFL is probably involved in this..
An even better question is, if the NFL IS involved in this, are there plans for one player on each of the leagues 33 teams to have some sort of figure associated with them. Personally, I think it's marketing gold and they'd be fools not to jump on this possibility. Having a Seahawks colored Marshawn Lynch Rhinox figure ready to go "Beast Mode" on any opposition would just thrill me to death. I'd actually dump obscene amounts of money towards something like that and I know I'm not the only collector out there that would do likewise to have an official Hasbro/NFL collectible representing their favorite team.
I had always thought they should have done the same with NASCAR and, in fact, it was an idea that one of my brothers and I had talked about long before they came out with the Wreckers figures for DotM. Yeah, it's a niche market and the figures are going to cost a small to moderate fortune but that's true of all the merchandise associated with the NFL or NASCAR so it's not like it would come as a shock to any collectors.
