Gentei Strafe Shipping Out Very Soon

Great news for those who ordered Strafe!

Great mold, I wish I could afford one. Just like I wish I could afford the Electro Disruptor Ligier and Ghost Starscream and Crystal Convoy.

you mean this thing is still not out. I figured it had been sent out and forgotten already. Oh well, I guess it's okay, but I have Cyclonus and Henkei Cyclonus. And since i'm colorblind i'm not gonna blow a bill to get another one that's not really gonna stand out from the rest to me anyways. Plus I don't really collect Autobots. But it's definitely good news to those Strafe fans and other fans of this mold. I personally am trying to get me hands on the Clear Mirage and counting down to the Ghost Starscream.

I'm excited about that too Mkall (I know it's the same seller). I was thinking about getting a Charo Exclusive Soundwave from him, but $75 is a lot, especially compared to BBTS, $55.

As a Canadian I feel obligated to get Gentei Strafe.

I mean really... you stick a poll up his butt and he might as well transform into the Canadian Flag.

Plus it's really growing on me.

They've pretty clearly established that SG Cyclonus will not be a match for this figure after the last Club comic...so, I mean you might want to reconsider.

I think he's just special because he's expensive and exclusive, hehe. I love my Universe Cyclonus and I hope to get the Henkei version in the near future.

Strafe was one of my first TFs, so I'm super psyched about this guy. He may not really look like anything but a funky colored Cyclonus, but the colors are actually growing on me, and I'm a sucker for Strafe, so, yeah, can't wait for this to show up.

Japanese site Futaba Channel (http://jun.2chan.net/) posted 2 new in-package images of Henkei Strafe. Similar to other Henkei exclusive, the packaging for Strafe is also in black and white colour.
Henkei Strafe is an exclusive for members of the Transformers Basecamp web site in Japan, which is itself exclusive to those who own a Transformers-themed Visa credit card.

It's kinda silly that some people are actually *complaining* that this is "just a recolor." How many TFs out there that are widely accepted as great figures, and are simple recolors? Lots.

personally i like this better than cyclonus.... the colors seem to fit this one real well

Hmmm, I'd actually forgotten about this guy. I love this mold and am interested in it as Strafe, but for the $, I'd rather pick up both HS Convoy and possibly Alternity Megatron in black. Perhaps somewhere down the road, if there are any left and someone puts it on sale, I'll grab it.

Anyways, the full bio's rough translation is below. Minor artistic license taken, of course:

"Even now, the Cybertrons' new weapon, the Techbot Corps, is throwing itself into battle with the Destron Army. Suddenly, their sniper Strafe takes the full brunt of an attack and something extraordinary occurs.

The whole corps had maintained the coloration from their original forms, but their outer appearance was completely different. Every member of the Techbot Corps had long ago been reborn from the wreckage of Transformers who had fallen prey to the destroyer of space (uchuu no hakaisha), the Space Emperor (Seikanteiou) Unicron.

Now, according to the research of the Cybertrons' base computer, Teletraan 2, it seems Strafe has somehow returned to his original form. To a worried Supreme Commander Convoy and the rest of his fellow Techbot Corps members, Strafe says merely, "I feel younger than ever, and I'm aching to fight!".

Strafe has now regained the aerial speed of youth, clocking in at almost 1.8 times as fast as his old body! Let us follow the courageous Strafe's example and sortie!"

TFU Classics/Henkei Cyclonus is one of the best figures I have seen in my opinion and to see the mold used again is nice. Strafe looks awesome and I wouldn't mind having him myself, what's the price tag on that?

bbts.com used to have it for about the same price, but they've raised it to $109.00 since I last looked.

That's a good bio. Fairly concurrent with G1 cartoon season 3 from what I understand.

Can't wait. This and Electro Ligier are going to be first crazy-expensive Japan-exclusive figures. And here's hoping Ghost Starscream preorders actually get filled.

So, I've currently got Strafe on pre-order at BBTS, for $109.99. How is Robot Kingdom's shipping? Strafe's shipping at BBTS should be negligible since he's just going into my Pile Of Loot. Will it cost me less than $20 to ship from Robot Kingdom? Is it worth losing out on the convenience of Pile of Loot?

I have no idea, I've never ordered from them before, but TFSource's customer service is pretty good.

I've ordered from RK and their CS is good, though I haven't had to address any issues yet(though I may cancel my MP-01B pre-order and go elsewhere as I want to get the e-Hobby manga so I'll see how good their CS is for sure). Their service is prompt, gave me shipping info via e-mail with tracking info too. Their product packaging isn't fancy but it works. My orders had newspaper and styrofoam boards as the padding and everything I ordered was in tip-top shape.

How fast does RK's package usually arrive in the States after it ships? I'm tempted to order some stuff from them bc they have TFs that are already out of stock elsewhere.

I'm not sure how fast the shipping would be for a U.S. destination but my package arrived within a business week of its shipment notice. Since I live on the East Coast, I think that's pretty fast delivery from Asia.

I ordered DIA Commander from RK. Packing was pretty good but the shipping speed was great. Made it from HK to my house in GA in 4 business days.

Henkei Strafe is an awesome repaint of an awesome figure.

I cannot wait for mine; well worth the money I paid.
