Wouldn't that be funny, 6 months from now all the complaints that there are soooo many Warpaths, Windchargers and Rumbles clogging the shelves!
Posted by Primeultimus on April 20th, 2011 @ 9:39am CDT
Already received mine from BBTS earlier this month.

Better than DOTM warming them.

I created an account just to order Warpath. I frown on having to pay shipping on something that Hasbro is suppossed to stock in my local stores but their marketing division is run buy a bunch of chimps. I spent over $100 in gas driving my SUV around Miami looking for the last wave of figures and Im not doing it again.
Now if anybody knows where I can get some additional wreck-Gars for a fair price (without bidding) please hit me up.

I really wish Hasbrotoyshop.com was more solid with their stock levels and more regular with their restock schedule. I mean these guys _manufacture_ the toys.. they can always make more to meet demand if they need to.

I also broke down and bought United Rumble and Frenzy because I was not convinced I would find Hasbro Rumble easily once released. I just did not feel like visiting five stores every week. Then it was announced a week later that the Reveal the Shield line was canceled.
Fortunately I have a friend in the UK who has mailed me Windcharger...should be getting him anytime now.
I remember the good'ole days when whenever you saw an announcement for a new figure, it would be a matter of months before you saw him in your local store. Finding what you wanted was never an issue. Now, you have to pay more than double to preorder what you want because there is a good chance you will never see these toys in the store.
To this day I have never seen Dirge, Kup, Perceptor, Jazz, Wreck-gar, or Scourge in any of my local stores. I have seen plenty of WFC Optimus, WFC Bumblebee, and about a million Drifts. I saw Jazz only once.

ditto. kind of ridiculous when Hasbro can't keep their own items in stock… their store is joke.

Sad too, because I had checked HTS this morning around 7AM
But I have one coming from BBTS, but I had to get a second Wheeljack & TC to get him, I'd like to have canceled that order.
Oh well.

Wait...Hasbrotoyshop is capable of restocking?

Seriously. I had Thundercracker in my cart the other day when he was magically in stock, as I was checking out, hes amazingly out of stock. As for Warpath, an hour after stock, and hes completely out?!?!
Hasbro heres a spoon.

It says "In stock" but with a May5th shipping date.
HTS needs to change it to "pre-order".
Posted by JRFitzpatrick7 on April 20th, 2011 @ 11:21am CDT
Warpaths. Obviously.
I ordered 2 , I typed in 14 by mistake, intending to get 4 but didn't delete the "1". Doing this gives an error message. You can only order 2 of them, whether it's per account I'm not sure. But I got 2 and I'm happy with that!
Knowing that the limit was 2, I'm very curious how they could sell out sooooooo fast. Yes he's popular, but this is basically the distributor selling these, not a middle man like your Toys 'r' us' and targets. And I agree the 1 by 1 availability is absurd. These figures are available in waves and wave revisions. They should make it a standard among all of their customers (retail) to release the figures in the same way. Even the odds for the consumer.
It's silly of them to switch out twist ties with paper ties to be more environmentally friendly, but release items 1 by 1 causing consumers to scramble to get them. By doing this, they will ship way more cardboard. Primus bless BBTS AND THEIR PILE OF LOOT!

Yeah, they must get something like, FOUR figures in at a time. It's pretty annoying.

1) They *are* a middleman. There is not some magical Oompa Loompa powered conveyor belt pushing product from the Hasbro factories in Asia to HTS's warehouse. They have order and receive their product just like Toys'R'Us, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. If they don't order enough, they can't sell it. This is 100% not a Hasbro Factory store. They're a retailer, affiliated with Hasbro - yes, but they've got to go through the same hoops and hurdles as the other guys. They may get special treatment with early access but they deal with the same absurd case distributions and all that other retails see.
2) Trickle stock. This comes from "preorders" that get cancelled or can't pay. Just like BBTS, HTS does not actually take your money until they ship the item, even going so far as to split the cost of shipping over each shipment. If you can't pay then, or if you cancel, the inventory doesn't immediately release. Once per day, the re-available inventory pushes into normal stock and can show up on the site. This information came directly from an HTS supervisor when I was trying to combine two preorders. If you cancel a preorder, the stock does not immediately become available for sale again. I'll say that once more because it's extremely important:
Newly available physical inventory from cancellations/returns/etc does not become available to order immediately. You must wait for the system to decide it's orderable again, and that happens in batches.
There is no human involved; in fact, I was lead to believe that they can't even override it. They can't create orders with these limbo items either. They have to wait for the system to allow them.
Hopefully, this clears up some major confusion and prevents even more butthurt over HTS.

Lord Onixprime wrote:you'd think, being that retailer supposedly aren't ordering these, that Hasbro would have a gargantuan stock of these to sell through their own online store. Why these sell out in minutes is beyond me.
It's not "their own online store". Hasbro redirected all this stock to overseas due to the weak dollar and all retailers, including HTS, not ordering enough. There is no gargantuan stock of these. THEY ARE GONE.

Yea, I'll probably try to recoup some of the cost for them
At least for TC.
I may try to mod WJ's legs again on the spare

And not only THAT, HTS is now down completely. (Not that going there was actually helping anyone. Nothing to do there except read the many little buttons that say "OUT OF STOCK"...)

I saw where someone had modded them to be thinner on ebay, they made them fold back.
