Generations Selects G2 Sandstorm and G2 Megatron officially revealed

Just got an email from Pulse about them but the links say: "The page that you are looking for could not be found."

I got the same email, but the links are now active.

Pretty neat. But there's just something about the G2 Megatron... That silver head on top of a wildly different colored green body with purple blotches - it makes him look like he's wearing pajamas or something.

I was wondering where Decepticon Sandstorm came from. I ordered both. I'm a sucker for the seekers. I wish they would have made the coneheads in their cybertronia modes.

Just wondering though, anyone else using a Mac? For somereason I can't input the CC info on any of my Mac Browsers.

Yeah, Selects G2 Megatron looks like a nice update to the original.. But does he scream "mEgAtRoN AtTaCk!" when you press down his head?..

G2 Megs was my original and first ever transformer my parents got for me when I was younger. He's the one that started it all. So for nostalgic purposes alone I need that G2 Megs in my collection.

So Red Wing is no longer a Target exclusive... glad he'll be easier for people to get.

And I was just debating how to custom make my own Cordon and Spinout. Now I don't have to!

I figured the Sunstreaker mold would get a Diaclone-themed Selects release, but I did not anticipate that they would make both. Interesting!

Big Bad Toy Store also has the Spinout Cordon two pack. I'm wondering who else will have it available. Will Amazon have it, or TF Source

Preordered solely to add them to my IDW shelf as Machination Sunstreaker clones. Already got Red Wing but happy it’s more widely available to others! No interest in Universal Megatron as I’ve never been.

Ride Megatron? Oh my!

Gorgeous both of them. Not at all what we expected. I whish the Prime mold wasnt being milked so hard so fast but I really want this. Will probably have to wait though, too many things on order as is.

The mint on Ratchet does not quite fit the figure as well as the original artwork does, one of those things where artists vision =/= reality, but I like it

This is probably the only Earthrise Prime that I'll get, but he looks awesome! Ratchet is a meh, but unlike the Prowl and Ironhide pack, it's worth it to get the other figure.

This is the first shattered glass figure (set) that I'm buying, I just wish Prime came with his trailer.

I wonder how sg prime's grey compares to the Netflix nemesis.

I forgot that was even a thing, I was thinking this was the first SG Ratchet. Botcon posted the original artwork, I dont think I noticed the original SG Ratchet was derived from the Energon Inferno/Roadbuster mold

Personally, I hate Shattered Glass, but I know it has its fans, and it's a logical choice for a repaints line. I thought customizers would resent the mainstream attention and competition, but they seem to be the happiest segment of the community.

Wasn’t SG the creation of Fun Publications and not IDW? Hasbro seems to be a bit confused/rewriting history a bit here.

I didn't think it was possible to make the Ironhide/Ratchet mold looks worse, but this does it. At least the feet-butt on the vehicle was the same color on the originals. The minty booty on this version just makes it stick out even worse.

As a huge Shattered Glass fan, I'm happy to see the representation, but definitely would have gone with Sideswipe or Wheeljack over Ratchet. The feet definitely stick out like a sore thumb. And to the earlier comment, Fun Pub made SG while given the Transformers license on a temporary basis, so I'm sure HasTak own all the rights to the various characters. Although...not like it matters, since Fun Pub shut down back in '18.

I canceled the Paradron 2-pack last week. As I still haven't bought a ER OP yet (I still think it's not improved enough on the Siege version) and I don't care for the trailer, this 2 pack is right up my alley. Hope I can get my pre-order in on Amazon Canada (far slower than US's site). If I can get this, I'll get the Select's weapon pack and that'll be PERFECT.

For me this is an easy pass. It just irks me that Hasbro can completely repaint Ratchet like this yet can't give us a comic-accurate red helmet with white visor. It's not that difficult.

Now this is a repaint i can get behind. Always wanted SG figures, but never got it due to the price. These seems to be way more reasonable, price-wise. And as i haven't got ER optimus (really didn't care about the trailer), this will be my first experience with the mold.

You all see feet sticking out the back of the ambulance. Me? I see two guys in scrubs holding on for dear life!


I haven't bought any of the Transformers Tuesdays exclusives and since none of them really stood out to me. But THIS. I am 100% behind this. I preordered it the second I saw it. I really hope we get more SG releases in the main line.

Eh, I still think proper attribution of literary sources is important. We don’t say someone else currently alive wrote the works of Shakespeare just because he’s not around anymore. It would be one thing if HasTak just mentioned the comic series and acted like they owned it outright (which they technically do). But attributing it to IDW when they had no direct part as far as I know just doesn’t vibe right with me.

Oh this makes me so happy. Growing up with Beast Wars, seeing the various references on the package really hits the childhood button (especially the golden disk as the background insert in the package.)

I like Cyclonus, hate the other stuff, sorry never cared for BW.

I suspect this is the new "plastic-less" packaging we're seeing on Cyclonus and the like ... and I just realized what the new dick-move trend in stores is going to be. Instead of buying and returning the package with a figure that didn't come with it, some guys are going to buy one, but scratch the paint off the others in the store with their keys or whatever so they have the only one in mint condition.
Because some people are awesome like that.
