NY Toy Fair 2019 had many awesome displays for their toylines, one obviously being Studio Series. Stock renders were revealed a day earlier, most likely on accident.

Our site owner, Seibertron, along with megatronus, were there to take some great images of the figures shown off at Hasbro's booth. As is tradition, a video was also taken, which you can view below. These pictures and the video give us a great look at these upcoming figures for 2019.

While not all the figures are new, we can see:
Deluxe:
Drift (Age of Extinction Helicopter)
Dropkick (Bumblebee Car)
Shatter (Bumblebee Car)
Constructicon Hightower (Revenge of the Fallen)
Constructicon Scrapmetal (Revenge of the Fallen)
Barricade (2007)
Clunker Bumblebee (2007)
Sideswipe (Dark of the Moon)
WWII Bumblebee (The Last Knight)
Cogman (The Last Knight)

Voyager:
KSI Boss (Age of Extinction)
Optimus Prime (Bumblebee)
Optimus Prime (2007)
Bonecrusher (2007)

Leader:
Optimus Prime (Dark of the Moon Jetwing)
Jetfire (Revenge of the Fallen)
Megatron (Dark of the Moon)

None of the figures are new. There was not one single new reveal in the whole presentation. >:oP

Anyway, on to happy news.......

I broke down and picked this guy up at Target today. I hate myself a little for paying full redcard price, but I was tired of walking past him every day. Really great figure, does a horrible design amazing justice. I highly recommend.

Come on, give the guy a break, if not for Walmart jumping the gun and internet savy people unearthing stuff, a lot of stuff would have been new today. Plus, this is the first time we see those figures outside of renders (after 1 day of them having been leaked).

Anyways, your taste keeps surprising me, I would have thought that you'd hate that megatron for being a small leader and having the truck cab visibly hollow.

The legs here are mistransformed, that's why they look terrible, otherwise Drift makes this mold shine better than Dropkick

My apologies, that was not meant to be directed at him, just my overall frustration with the show, and direction of the brand in general, bleeding out. Very little coming out that I'm interested in, and what there is, has ridiculous price tags.....

I dunno. When I was young and had no to very little money, I'd buy everything I liked, and a lot I didn't, and almost never worry about price.

Now, comfortable in life, and with plenty of disposable income, price has become one of my number one determing factors in buying figures.

I am similarly underwhelmed so far. I mean sure, what we’ve seen is good, but it’s nothing we haven’t actually seen before yet. I’m hoping there is more in next couple days.

And I don’t know if the brand is bleeding out just yet. Siege seems to be doing well, and there are still two more parts to this trilogy. Sure everything is very GEEWUN right now, but there’s still room for other homages.

Define normal and unique.

Normal would be a transformer with a humanoid body shape in robot mode

Unique would be any of the more extravagant designs (like T-Rex Hightower and the big wheel Scavenger)

As all characters (aside from Scrapmetal) have been released in RotF as Legends Class:

Scavenger/Demolishor: unique
Mixmaster: normal
Overload: normal
Rampage: unique
Long Haul: normal
Scrapper: normal
Hightower: unique
Scrapmetal: normal

I think I'll get Cogman and Drift and probably none of the other new reveals. I would get Devastator, but Siege has made that...financially unrealistic we'll say.

I'm still very much the first one and probably always will be. Ah well it's not too bad. Luckily the only recent TF line I enjoy is Studio Series and although that alone can be quite expensive for me I do alright (mostly having had sold off the majority of my past figures, both TF and not) :) :michaelbay:

Looks great and i would be all over this if Hasbro didn't both up the scale so much. Some folks and Hasbro can say it is accurate, but it is as Obvious as a sore thumb that it is not.

Pre-ordered DOTM Optimus! Now I just have to wait. . .

. . .a little over 6 months.

At least I'll have wave 5 to tie me over till then, I'll be picking up DOTM Megatron in about a month. Sideswipe, WWII Bee, and maybe Barricade at some point too.

Got my jetfire today from hasbro pulse, and man, he is like all the worst panel-formers on steroids, his shell literally cannot tab into the places that they're supposed to go, total waste of time to even try >:oP

Love the actual transformation though, I always knew that they could pull it off if they got rid of the useless voice box on the old guys, they always took up so much space

Bot mode is really nice, can't wait to combine him up with prime when I get him

So, overall, if you don't want him for the bot mode, avoid at all costs, especially now that we've seen the new flying prime figure >:oP

Hard to say, I can still vividly recall how painful it is to tab the first one together, despite having not done it for a decade, but this one is arguably more annoying cuz they're all right there, about a millimeter away and nothing stays together.

I wish his ankles could tab into the shoulders and form a solid structure that the shell could then tab into but they don't, and he is way less secure for it; way fewer panels though, it's really just the first half tabbing into the second half that's the problem, not like the old one that just kept exploding

So, as is my fashion, I got some stuff off my chest about jetfire, and some stuff out of one of his connectors, and have officially gotten him transformed, I found that 'doing a jazz' helps to get him into vehicle mode because he does just have a bunch of stuff flopping around until all's said and done.

That said his need to align everything is up there with the worst of them, despite my cleaning out one of his key tab ports. And honestly the only problems are those flaps that hang out beside his neck, I swear the 4 tabs on them are definitely not in the right place to line up with what they need to tab into.

He does some amazing stuff with his transformation though, and it astounds me that he can have as tidy a vehicle mode along side such an accurate robot mode, and a pretty great combined mode; it's hard to believe this is only the second time visiting this design and they really nailed it, it's nice that they sat down and put in actual places for the belts to in both modes, that really helps the figure.

But, in the end, I feel the same as I did in my first post about him; if you need a jetfire, look no further, but if you want a cool blackbird, just get a model kit; and if you want a flying o/p, I think the new leader class one should get you what you want, because, he really is a lot of grief wrapped up in some glorious packaging.

Wow, some awesome stuff revealed!

Hightower makes for a great Constructicon member of the team, and now we have 4 of 8 revealed! I don't think they've really missed a beat yet, and I'm so glad we are getting Hightower in his concept art design. Awesome.

Drift is a great surprise! The Dropkick mold is pretty lackluster to me, but Drift looks a lot better in it. And we'll have a car Dropkick, so Dropkick himself is avenged. Also kinda funny that both Drift and Dropkick are blue triple changers that use a sportier/expensive car and a helicopter for alt modes and both start with D. I find it funny.

KSI boss is a pass, got the awesome mold twice in its best forms.

Leader Prime is a WOW! Love the jetpack and weapons ring! Never thought we would get that! and he has the Ax! The weapon i most wanted him to have!

I'll need both the regular voyager for Jetfire and this leader for his flight tech. This is awesome, Prime truly has won the day.

I've not had any real issues getting Jetfire into blackbird mode. A couple panels were hard to fit at first but after some smooshing bits they all fit quite securely. It's just his whiskers underneath the front of the jet that spoil the look somewhat but overall he's great and just a really fun leader class toy too and of course the bonus of being upgrade for SS32 and DotM Prime is fantastic.

EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:Anyone who has both current SS Primes, would it be possible to transfer SS-05’s lower legs onto SS-32?

For what reason (I do wish SS32 could fold those wheel arch things over like on SS05 but you won't be able to attach Jetfire's boots with SS05 legs)

SS32's lower legs can be easily removed since they're attached by simple screws. SS05 uses... I dunno what you call them but they ain't screws. Nothing to grip onto.

Wow, a great looking foldable bumper, more guns, and ankle tilts? That practically makes the figure nearly perfect! All they have to do now is give him wrist and waist rotations and he'll be perfect. This is the upgrade that people need

The figure already has wrist rotations. :) No chance of waist rotation cos of the transformation though but yeah this upgrade set looks so good.

Also edited my previous post to mention the guns are the DotM shotguns which are from the mexican stand off scene. :)
And I have Sideswipe already... and my TLK Berserker can be used as Crankcase (since the new Crankcase stupidly uses Crowbar mold instead) and I have a cheap Crowbar coming too! So once I have this kit I can recreate that scene. :D

It’s the wheel arch things. When I get DOTM Prime I’ll be doing some upgrades (namely paint and longer smokestacks), But I’m also wondering if I could track down a cheap SS-05 for the lower legs since I think I’d actually prefer the folding arches over Jetfire Compatability on DOTM Prime.

That Ironhide kit looks great, I need those heavy iron rifles!

Yeah I understand but I really can't see how to remove SS05's lower legs at all. I just put the tip of a knife under the bolt or whatever is being used on that joint, to try and prise it off gently but the plastic of the leg around it starting bending instead and I was afraid I might damage it. SS32 (and I presume DotM) lower legs are far more easily removable due to using normal screws. I don't see how you can remove SS05's at all. Sorry. :/

Yay got RotF Starscream today from Amazon US for about £25 including shipping to the UK. Which is a great deal since SS voyagers cost £29.99 to £32.99 here in stores and I couldn't find this one in any shops remotely near me anyways. :)

All four combatants for the RotF forest fight. Well, Blackout standing in for Grindor. Still counts.

excuse my rough painting. i still got a long way to go to get good at things but they look better in person than photos. maybe.

I love the tattoo Starscream. That saw weapon is wonderful and is what I really wanted with that mold. The mold itself is really good too, they did a fantastic job with that figure.

I don't see why not. It would be as simple as unscrewing and/or popping balljoints. But would it transform the same? I dunno.

AH! Saw it coming. It's the thing that spoiled the whole figure for me.
Maybe I'll be motivated to get SS Ironhide if I ever see it on sale.

Woot! I finally found Bonecrusher and Optimus Prime 2.0 out in the wild earlier this evening at Target. Haven't had time to open them up yet, but I'll be getting to it soon. Having a voyager scaled Bonecrusher at last is exciting enough, but what I'm really pumped for is the improved Optimus Prime design that fixes almost everything wrong with the first Studio Series release.

It's a big improvement in many ways... though a slight downgrade in s a few minor areas. Overall though definitely the preferred figure and my fave voyager Optimus Prime ever.

Looking at the pre-order prices on various UK websites for the upcoming Siege figures, the Deluxes appear to be cheaper than before. £18.97 on Kapow for example with RRP being £19.99 which is a few quid cheaper than the £22.99 RRP of the first few waves. They're only £1 more than the Siege Deluxes (£17.97 on Kapow with RRP of £18.99). Studio Voyagers KSI Boss and Blockimus at £28.97 and DotM Leader Optimus Prime at £48.97
Anyways yeah they're all up there, DotM Prime, Drift(kick), Hightower and such and for those who are interested, all the Siege stuff too (Jetfire is £74.97, RRP £79.99 in case you wondered what his new size class costs, with Omega at £139.99)

Got Crowbar. He's ok. If I'd paid £22.99 RRP for him I'd feel very underwhelmed but I only paid £7.50 (plus a few quid postage) so am content. :) Needed him for the mexican stand off scene I'll be able to do when I get DNA Design's Ironhide upgrade kit that has his shotguns. :D
I far prefer Berserker (who's one of my fave decepticon robots) and it's still crazy that Hasbro are using a redeco of Crowbar for Crankcase rather than the Berserker mold that's based on Crankcase. Anyways Crowbar is fine. His dreads were quite warped and messy but I heated it up with the hairdryer (which I found amusing using on his 'hair') and then got all soft and floppy (heh) and drape much nicer now.

DSC_0698.jpg

Will probably give him some paint later on. I have a spare sheet of Berserker Toyhax labels (cos of an error) so I might do up his SUV mode with those to look like this:
