This guy is great! He’ll make a good classics Bigdaddy to go along with the rest of my not, but still classics collection.

I love the mold but I can't stand the orangeness in the legs and the purple faceplate. I guess the character design just wouldn't suit me.

Why do I have the feeling that they were going to use him as a Decepticon then at the last minute made him an Autobot? I like the mold and the look so its a buy for me. And i need a few more Autobots. The movie line released way to many Decepticons at one time.

Wow that looks even worse in these pictures. I never saw the allure of Big Daddy, either.

I'm not fond of the name, but I like the mold so I probably will buy it anyway. From the looks of it, the majority of my movie collection will be repaints. :<

I love it! The choice of mold for the character is great, and I love those homages to obscure characters.
They even got his face purple like on the original Micromaster! Love it, A+!

The car mode looks great! It's the robot mode that doesn't look right. I just have to wait and see.

I must agree with you Nekoman. I've been dying to add to my Classics Autobot ranks. I don't want to do that with just any homage so this beeing a very cool homage to an obscure character works very well for me too!

I second Skowl's sentiments!

I may be tempted to purchase this guy if and when I see him, which makes him rare amongst all the movie repaints.

I'm going to say this is a must for me, especially since I never was able to get a Downshift.
The bright orange might be a little goofy, but I really like the overall blend of the black, orange, and purple face plate. It has a futuristic nightmare-ish feel to it, as if this is the kind of character you only need to see once to never forget. I wasn't a big fan of Downshift's color scheme, so all the better since the figure seems pretty good overall.

As far as repaints go, they have done a really nice job on this figure. I Can't wait to be able to ass this guy to my collection, the homage is just straight on.

Y'know, Big Daddy was always one of my favourite micromasters, my whole reason for reading DW's Micromaster comics, and why I agreed once to play the role of "Big Daddy" in a local production of "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof". Couple that with the fact that I love the Cybertron Downshift mold, and you've got me wanting one of these REAL bad.

I'm buying this. Even though I don't like the orange head, I like the idea of owning a TF named "Big Daddy." I like the mold too. A nice review.

Just as in the first release as Downshift, the fact that Big Daddy is a muscle car makes this almost a no-brainer... Heck, I almost even bought another Downshift when I saw one this weekend two-packed with Cannonball!

Awesome, I really want this guy for my classics shelf.
I hope BBTS will get some of these because Wal-mart doesn't ship internationally.
What's the release date of this wave?

Downshift, in my opinion was a great toy, but this guy, there's something I still don't like, not the fact that he does not match well movie line, but name perhaps?... is too I don't know I'll pass

for once i agree with you on this. Downshift's the better toy, the green and black on it better suits the mold compared to this one.
pass. i'll save my money for much, much better toys than these.

He's not a movie toy. He's a Cybertron toy in movie packaging .
His mission is to take advantage of consumer idiocy; i.e. the propensity to buy anything in movie packaging.
We would have gotten this toy months ago if Cybertron had been allowed to pump out its last wave of repaints.

For the record, I love this design and will purchase this figure on the spot.
...but I'll be buying it because I love AEC toys, not because of movie packaging.

This is a must buy for me.
I have the original, and I'm planning a silver repaint to look like my old car.
