This is another installment from Star Seeker Saboteur Tornado's personal Facebook page. In these BotCon promotional pieces, we get pieces of the story behind this year's BotCon theme. Tornado is aboard the Tidal Wave, and writes about his fellow crew members' interactions and what they've been up to. Find the full text here and if you enjoy it, are looking forward to BotCon, or would just like to hear more from Decepticon Saboteur Tornado, head over and give his Facebook page a like.

And don't forget to stop by the Energon Pub and tell us if you're excited about BotCon and/or this theme.

He's not the only fleshling among Cannonball's crew. This goblin/elf-looking guy, named Squirm, is also a crew member:

Yeah, it looks like this Facebook page is going to get updated rather frequently with more log entries and Facebook posts. So this should be something that we'll want to keep a close eye on for a while. :D

I hope just an appearance. An Axor update already happened, I don't need another one - would much rather have a different character.

Yeah, that's why him being mentioned kinda threw me off.

For the ones who guessed Devcon and to the ones who made a kitbash of him from Generations Scourge:

You were all on the mark!

The official BotCon 2014 website has revealed the first Knight in this year's Pirates vs. Knight exclusive set, and it's a character many of us have been waiting on for years! Devcon is receiving his first ever figure in the form of a Generations Deluxe Scourge retool/repaint! Devcon made his initial appearance in the original G1 Transformers cartoon episode The Gambler, as an Autobot bounty hunter. Check out the images mirrored below:

Excellent choice of mold, fantastic colors, and cool head sculpt so far. Can't complain about this one, even if it isn't all that surprising.

This is more like what I expect to get from the Club and BotCon. Not Ferak and not a Cannonball update to a toy from 9 years ago that was a filler character. Devcon was long overdue and this looks better than Devcon from the Energon Slugslinger mold. Hopefully this leads to a proper closer-to-show-accuracy Devcon from Hasbro at some point but in the meantime, I can't wait to put this guy next to Smokescreen at long last.

Question to all of you who squeed like fangirls over getting Devcon. Will he be staying in the BotCon set, or will he be displayed with G1 figures or at least Generations figures, since he's a very accurate representation of the character?

I second this. I literally had the exact same reaction. And it also has me wondering if we may see a Devcon as part of the generations line in the future, for all of us that aren't able to spend hundreds on the box.

Funny... I decided to look up this character (especially since he was only in one episode) to see him for myself...

I saw at least 5-6 kitbash/customs using the same mold to make Devcon... Ironic.

If you guys think this one was good, according to BotCon's Twitter, we ain't seen nothing yet - https://twitter.com/BotCon/status/448192677893267457

Not to rob Devcon of any of his hype, but we haven't even gotten to the jaw dropping reveal. Something we've never done. #PVK #BotCon2014

With only two more to go, what could they have never done before? Original characters? 2009 Landshark. Mini-Con sets? 2008 Predacons.

It might even be a kind of mold they've never used before like a G1 or (though I doubt it) a Titanium.

The only thing I could see being truly jaw dropping would be getting to use a mold before Hasbro or Takara use it for retail/announce it. Not impossible, but so improbable as to be nearly so.

I would've added doing an original mold altogether, but they've done that already, too(Vector Sigma).

I don't think there's ever been a time I've gotten excited about anything from them.

Except maybe Runabout and Runamuck. They're about the only good things FP have done.

hmmm...I doubt it, but there might be a reason Arcee and/or Chromia got delayed?

(the reason probably is that one or other of them isn't properly finished yet, but it is an interesting idea)

Sleezardo! Sleezardo! Sleezardo!

Or a 3.75" figure from a GI Joe wouldn't be too bad either. Curious to see what they reveal next.

Ooh! What if the "thing they've never done before" is the toy that's being made from an Energon mold, and it turns out to be one of the Kicker molds done up as a knight?

Like, what if they made a G1 Sari Sumdac out of it? :D

A GI Joe might be a good idea, if they're going to do one of the non-TF members of the pirate crew. I hope it's not EDC Spike or Marissa though, because then I'll have to buy the set.

Which begs the question: Do any of the G.I. Joe cons have exclusive toys, and if yes, do they retool them from regular toys? I know Hasbro has done it for SDCC's Crossover toys, but this is a little bit different, isn't it?

Argh! I was satisfied that this BotCon set was going to be another pass, like last years (Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad, but MW was always weird to me).

Hm...Since we're going with the whole Pirates Vs. Knights thing, let's consider this.

Five figure, three Star-Seekers, two Knights (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Star-Seeker - Cannonball
Star-Seeker - Ferak
Star-Seeker - (plenty to work with here)
Knight - Devcon
Knight - (not so much to work with here)

BTW is it too much to hope for another Breakdown?
