The IDW Stealth Bomber Megatron is the next in the line of Kuro Kara Kuri highly posable and detailed action figures, following the likes of Optimus Prime, Star Saber, and Drift. He is heavily based on the IDW Stealth Bomber Megatron design from back in the 2009-2011 ongoing, but with some additional stylings and a more spiky appearance. He will likely retail for around $450, which is approximately what the other Kuro Kara Kuri figures have gone for. Pre-Orders are expected to go up on March 16, next Monday.

...and these are awesome. I really don't care if these won't transform, specially since these current transforming official mp-toys are just a pain to transform. That's not even fun anymore. Many (not all) 3p companies do it better what comes to the transformation (and sadly, the quality), but these Flame toys figures have superb level of details in the bot mode...frankly the mode that most of us keep them anyways. Not to mention great articulation and poseability.

Also the fact that because they don't have to transform, they can create the robot they want without any restrictions.

They could have done a Leader version in Combiner Wars, but I'm guessing it was no longer anywhere near current (and Hasbro probably wanted to go with what they saw as the surer bet, a more traditional G1 Megs).

Skritz wrote:Man, Stealth Bomber IDW Megatron was such an amazing. It deserved a Voyager or Leader-class figure, not some ridiculously tiny and flimsy deluxe.
Well, 3P got that covered.
But it would have been nice to see a an official leader.

I don't know about that.
Never say never.

Because the design was created by Don Figueroa. Andy Schmidt said he wanted to work out a deal with Don to use it, but then stood Don up and used the design in The Transformers #13 with no compensation or credit given to Don. Hasbro then compounded the art theft by making it into a toy - also without giving compensation or credit to Don.ZeroWolf wrote:Why would they have to do either of those things? Hasbro clearly own the design so they can do what ever they want with it.

Rubbish business practices? If course but it's par for the course these days in capitalism, and that's something that sending a letter to hasbro isn't going to fix as only a minority will ever care.

Actually I did some digging, this is a very interesting thread to read as it was discussed here before, many moons ago.
Here's the thread

I don't care for petty legal battles of any kind from whoever. And I'm pretty sure I'm in the majority.

I'm pretty much in this boat too. If this was the original toy and time, i would care a bit more, but it has been so long now, I don't.
Also, got 5 new kits to build, and I'm going to start with Megatron and Devastator, and then go for SG Prime, Drift, and finally Skywarp

I haven't build Skywarp yet, but I have done Thundercracker and Starscream, and to me Thundercracker is the best of the 3 color wise. But again, I haven't build Skywarp yet to see the color in full

Is there a kit that you have been trying to find in particular?

I was bored, figured it'd be something to do in my spare time between work, what with new TV shows not happening these days.
I would have gone for the seekers, but eh.
I found Metal Earth Optimus Prime in one of the unpacked boxes. I guess by the time I'm done I won't need a face mask to stop me from touching my face because my fingers won't be touching anything.

Honestly, I think their seeker mold is the weakest of the kits they have put out so far (yet I got all 3, huh) so I think you ended up doing well missing that mold

Still, I don't like that Megatron as the Megatron it's supposed to be.
But as a YOUNG version of himself, like a "teen" Megatron (like Orion Pax was to Optimus Prime) it work a lot!

also worked on Devastator today and he came out great!
Posted by D-Maximal_Primal on June 15th, 2020 @ 4:13pm CDT
This Devastator kit is so much fun. I had a blast building it, and now posing him around? It is a lot of fun. Much more fun than any of the other "attack mode" styled bots yet. He's a blast!
And so expressive!

ZeroWolf wrote:Stop it! You're making me want him I wish the kits weren't so expensive to import
There's definitely a cost for what they are, but they are worth it to me. I think Devastator and Megatron are my 2 favorite. I need to mess with Bee again, I like him too.
Thing is, I learned and finally applied to these 2 new kits: I do not follow the sticker instructions anymore. Devastator only had half his stickers put where they were supposed to go. It really helped get rid of peeling stickers and allowed for more creativity, and I've enjoyed him more for this matter.
I wish he were a bit bigger, but damn is he good

Take a look at this new figure below:
This isn't the first time that Star Saber has donned a Decepticon symbol and a new sinister paint job, his Robot masters release also recieved a similar redeco (along with Victory Leo) so that he could infiltrate the Decepticons in the accompanying fiction.
No release dates have been put forward, and neither has a price, but we'll keep you informed on any as they are given.

For the price, it must also be relatively big. 10" tall like a leader class figure?
