Fair Warning, there is not too much to see here, but enough to know what this release entails. The small image from the instruction booklet, found on weibo, shows us that Transformers Studio Series 32 Optimus Prime is indeed the very same voyager Optimus Prime toy we got in wave 1, at least in terms of the general toy. Of course, it is a black and white CAD image so we can't be sure about the colours. We do see that the abdominal area has not been remolded to look like the Dark of the Moon rendition of Optimus but we do see that there is at least one new thing, his gun.

I wouldn't count on it, we never got proper Triple-changing toys for the movie, with the two modes split between two toys.

Also, Devastator in the movie has more components than the 6 or 7 that ended up being released as toys. At the very least, the crane arm has an additional component for the "fingers". And let's not bring up the vehicles that form his... you know...

Except combined modes are usually not counted for a Triple-Changer name, but I will admit your point. Even then, we need more (named) components for a proper movie-accurate Devastator... tho I think we all can live without... that...

wat a sec, I know the movie had costructicons in them but those guys were not what formed Devastator. As far as I know there is no in movie evidence to suggest that Devastator's components have robot modes.

This is true, and it's also worth noting that you see several components of devastator fighting at the same time you see devy climbing the pyramid.

Despite how they may have appeared in the film, I want a combining Devastator from this line done proper like the CW and PotP guys, even if not film accurate!

I'm also saddened that we keep getting more listings but no Bonecrusher or Bee movie guys yet

It looks like at least the chest windows on this new SS Prime are remolded, so that's cool. Hopefully he has the DOTM abs and they're just hard to see on the render. If this is a DOTM version, I'll be buying it for sure.

...okay, I swear there was an Amazon listing for a voyager Bonecrusher at some point that everyone got excited about, I think I even saw it (although I think it shortened his name to Voyager Bonecrush), so unless I'm just insane which I might be for all I know, Bonecrusher is coming, don't worry about it. In fact, I think that Bonecrusher listing showed up in tandem with a listing for the second Prime we're just now getting a picture and number for, so if Prime's SS-32, Bonecrusher's most likely SS-31, as there has to be SOMEONE between Crankcase and Prime and they pretty much have to be Voyager class given the progression of the numbers in correlation to the price points.

Now that that's out of the way...

Cogman: Already got TLK Cogman online months ago, I doubt I'll get this one.
Drift: No thanks.
Scrapmetal: I just mentioned yesterday that I wanted a SS Trench, and the next day a listing shows up for an obscure Constructicon with the same body type. If they actually make this and retool it into Trench, I will be shocked and amazed and buy them both, but regardless, Scrapmetal is on the purchase list now.
Hightower: If we're actually getting a proper scaled/non-Legends class figure of Hightower that actually turns into his insane robot mode design, that's going to be hilariously amazing and I need it.

VW Bumblebee, Shadow Raider and DotM Ratchet are all available on Amazon, just so you guys know - I snagged Bee for now. I have a discount thing going on from a code I got for moving so I was charged exactly $19.84 for him. Love little coincidences like that

I completely forgot about that, bizarre. Slightly off but same deal with Optimal Optimus, I think he's the only PotP figure that hasn't had an official Amazon listing pop up - he's still $100 on there.

I don't see why he wouldn't be. That would require retooling to remove a decent non-intrusive action feature and technically the Titan Master is Cogman himself being that he's human sized. And you have the Titan Master compatible Thundercracker (being that he's a new head of Nitro) already in Studio Series. I still kinda hope they add a tiny Anthony Hopkins this time around. I mean... I also don't cos it would mean I'd end up buying the figure twice but come on they should have done it the first time around seeing as how Cogman's car seats two!

Waiting to see what SS32 actually looks like in figure form all decoed out before I consider buying it. I wanted a gun with the original one (and probably get the Dr Wu gun for him) and I'm happy with the paintwork and toyhax stickers I added to my figure but yeah let's see if they at least improved the factory colours this time around. Don't suppose he'd be a bit bigger this time to look a bit more imposing next to Ironhide? :P Eh I still prefer this mold to my revenge Prime anwyays for the proportions and posability. :D

I may not have liked certain aspects of the new trailer but I do like this Bumblebee figure. Still prefer his Camaro forms but this figure is fun too. Maybe bit fiddly to transform for young kids (and the face and mask can be tricky to swap) but that's why there are simpler versions in the main Bumblebee toyline eh

From the official social media page of the Transformers brand, we have a new 'Leaked From Cybertron' composite image, this time showing off another new addition to the Transformers Studio Series line - one we saw first revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2018, and will undoubtedly see again at New York Comic Con next week - from the upcoming Bumblebee Movie: Decepticon Dropkick!

Shown in the image below in the robot mode, with the helicopter mode as default (rather than the other alt mode of a blue muscle car), at least in its initial prototype mode, featuring some grey and clear plastic on the base mold, and a sorta look at the headsculpt. Check it out!

Decepticon DROPKICK is as bad as they come. Here's an exclusive reveal of a stage 1 production prototype of this Decepticon menace! This is Studio Series Deluxe Class Dropkick – Transformers: Bumblebee

Quite a lot of fun. Was a pain in the butt the first time I transformed him to car mode as I couldn't seem to line up everything probably and when I squeezed one part into place, another part of the roof popped out but I got there. Also the mask gimmick was tricky cos the regular face was really hard to remove on mine and the whole head kept popping off when I tried (in fact the gimmick would probably have been a whole lot simpler with the whole head being swappable rather than the faces) but I used some tweezers to prise off the face to put the mask on and switched them back without problem now the face has been taken off that first time. I think the only part of the figure that bugs me is the back end of the car on the back of the lower legs. Just wish it was a bit neater and compact and clicked together nicely. But yeah other than that I'm pretty happy with him and he looks great and poses quite nicely (I like the articulation in the arms especially). I'm gonna paint some extra yellow and silver in places where he should have them too to make him more accurate.

I’ve had some issues pegging everything tightly into vehicle mode, but robot mode on my VW Bee is pretty stable. He’s a lot of fun! He does also have an issue with the armor on the back of his legs getting in the way of itself to hinder posing, but my god he’s an improvement over Camaro Bee. Most of it is in the backpack - it actually holds together without falling out and is uses pins so it shouldn’t loosen horribly. Plus I LOVE the battle mask, I’m displaying mine with it.

Sorry, this is the only picture I have since I’m at work but I did manage to find the Marvel Legends Thing yesterday too so getting him and Bumblebee both at once was great

I actually do still prefer my camaro Bee figure but yes pins it the roof section of that would have been nice (though as shown in pics and video I posted here ages ago mine is fine after having added bit more friction in that particular roof joint).

Got them in similar poses like a team up. I really don't like VW Bee's gun arm though. It just looks pitiful compared to the bulkier ones on other Bee figures.

Just tried and nope cos surprisingly Vw Bee has a thicker elbow joint that means Camaro Bee's arm cannon will not fit over it and Vw Bee's puny weapon doesn't fit on Camaro Bee's elbow joint either.

Best way I've found is leave the butt end of the car folded down (behind his lags) and save that for last. I usually fold the side stuff into place (doors, headlights), then plug the roof/hood in, then push arms in place and close the front wheel wells, then finally the car butt. It's definitely annoying to line everything up though.

I found the first time transfdrming him into car mode was tricky but after a couple goes I found it much easier now I have a better sense of where everything goes and what fits where and the tolerances and such. Very happy with the figure overall but as I said before I just still prefer the Camaro Bee but both are currently my 'deskbots' that are getting much play while I procrastinate on my projects. :P

Got shadow raider and vw bee today... bee is hot garbage, but shadow raider kinda makes me want 2 more re-uses of the lockdown mold (one in navy and one in red with silver stripes) for a whole team for him, they're just so cool, with their interchangeable weapons, the way the gun attaches into the arm is so cool

Bee is a mess with a dumb alt mode... if he tabbed together, I might feel different about him, but holy mother of god is he a pain in my d### to even try to tab together, and the hood clearance in bot mode to fold his trunk under is so close to non-existent, it makes want to never transform him again; that being said, he's got a bitchin' battle mask ;)^

Since I figured out how to get him to transform properly, he has rocketed way up to one of my faves, plus, he's pocket-sized to boot, so he can go anywhere

My main issue with Jazz was the price. But the toy itself is fine and yes, much better than VW Bee. I just got him today and hate him so much. Mine is defintitely defective due to one of his breastplates not turning, which messes the entire alt mode. Still, even if it worked, I woldnt know how to get that alt mode to tab together. Those pegs in the back really dont do much. I have a replacement on the way, we will see.
