Curious what the price and combined mode will be like though. I have no real connection to the Trainbots so I don't think I'll pick this up but I'd like to see how Takara builds and prices a combiner in hopes that they decide to tackle other more popular combiner teams in the future.

I imagine the combined mode will be as tall as Titan Class Devastator?

Transforming Trains do go down a treat in Japan to be fair.

I know some fans have speculated this is a subline, but I don't think so. I think MPG will just be tied to Raiden specifically. I mean news about this first was talked 2 years ago. Also, there's no telling when these toys will actually come out. If it takes 3-4 years to develop just one, I can't see them doing it for multiple combiners.

I understand that STILL is a lot, but nowhere near the $1000-$1500 range. If they are released individually, that will make it a bit easier on the budget. Some fans gladly pay $400-$600 for 3P Combiners.

Plus as well as what O. Supreme said, it took HasLab to get western fans a shot at Star Saber, a much more recognisable face from the JG1 part of the franchise, there's no way they'd do Raiden as mainline retail.

I agree with your line of thinking. I'd go 1 step further and guess that the main reason for the new designation is to separate it somewhat from the regular MP line since I doubt they will be able to design a combiner to normal MP standards for the combined form, 6 individual trains and 6 individual bots. Some compromises will be needed somewhere and I'm guessing they will stand out somewhat from the regular MP line due to this.

But at that complexity, I hope it doesn't take 6 years to finish. I guess I'm glad the 2022 Legacy Line doesn't have much I want, most of my toy budget will be going towards this.
I can see that actually, how much did Starscream ver 2.0 go for? And he could be cheaper via Amazon.jp

When this eventually does happen, hopefully Pulse will offer it as well, a price comparison to get the best deal will definitely need to be thoroughly researched.
*update* just found the pre-order
https://www.amazon.co.jp/o/ASIN/B09HQPF ... sform0c-22?tag=seibertron00-22&
After shipping (unfortunately Prime US doesn't apply in Japan ) it is just under $200 ($197.85 USD), and that is at todays exchange rate. I assume they don't charge until the item actually ships, so there is no telling what it could be in 9 months when this actually comes out. I think I'll wait. Pulse seems to offer most MP's. I'll see what they charge.

The price is ludicrous. Imagine if all 5 figures cost around this price? Even the current 3P versions seem cheaper.
I'm definitely waiting for the KO and/or the full set of 3P figures instead.

I'm sure that number will also be a far more accurate reflection of the price for all six of them too.

True, the 3P version looks to be literally half the price, probably of comparable size, and much more cleanly engineered. That said, half the price is still a $700 combiner, not to mention the bot-mode scale difference between MP and Generations (which I pretty much exclusively collect). It looks like, unless I somehow miraculously find some toy trains of the right size and learn how to re-shell CW figures, my collection will lack a Raiden.

This is an MP combiner, it was always gonna be expensive. If Beast Wars Blackarachnia which only goes from tiny bot to spider is $150, the leader component which goes from train to bot to combining component was not gonna be less.
That said, this was my face when I saw the price:
And O. Supreme, Amazon japan will be your best option, no matter what price Pulse will have it at. Expect the price to decrease by 25% what it is now in the coming month, that always happen since retail prices in Japan for non exclusive figures are usually 25% off the SRP which is reserved for TTMall and trading through imports.

You will notice that it comes with a train track and a partsforming piece for the combined mode.

I too don't think this looks great. But him being an exploded train is accurate.
Oh and these are MP sized unlike what was previously written online
Posted by william-james88 on October 6th, 2021 @ 10:10pm CDT
Also, there is some misinformation of the price online so please read this carefully. The MSRP of this toy is 18000 yen. Any price mentioned that is higher adds Japanese tax which only concerns Japanese citizens. Also, there will be an inevitable discount on Amazon that is routine with non exclusive figures since the prices sold at retail in Japan are always lower than MSRP. So, the price on Amazon Japan could go down to about $120 USD for Shouki in a week or two. Of course, you will have to add shipping and customs fees if that is applicable to your country (USA is not charged customs fees, lucky).
Here is the place to preorder this toy and be eligible for any price drop which is routine on such listings: https://www.amazon.co.jp/o/ASIN/B09HQPF ... rtron00-22?tag=seibertron00-22&
It will also tell you the time limit you have to cancel your toy if the price drop is not significant enough for you or if you change your mind.

Raiden will look really nice next to PotP Predaking though, although he will likely be 3 times as heavy and 4-5 times as expensive .
These will be my first MP's since I bought MP1 when it first came out, and then sold it in 2007

If it were a generations titan figure, I’d be all over this. It’s final price as an mp will rival unicron’s.

true, but it is a price that is broken up into smaller installments as opposed to Unicron's full upfront price, which is how a lot of people (not me) justify the third party combiner purchases. Some of which are more pricey then this guy.
that being said, I have no connection to this combiner team, so I was initially like "yay, an mp toy I don't need, finally don't have to keep shelling out me cashola"
but then these pics happened

Via TF-Source and Moon Studio, we have the entire team of six up for pre-order. Due to arrive December 2021, $109.99 each. There is also currently a multi-purchase option for $659.94.
I'll update as and when more information drops.
MS01 Dark Knight
MS02 Ice Land
MS03 Iron Arm
MS04 Moon Shine
MS05 Green Zone
MS06 Cool Peak
Note: The images attached are only renders at the moment. They combine to form Radiatron.

Combine all 6 figures, Dark Knight, Ice Land, Iron Arm, Moon Shine, Green Zone and Cool Peak to form Radiatron.
For those interested, we have a completely different distribution method and pricing from Omegalock.co.uk
The six Train Bots are being sold as pairs, priced at £159.99. With a £39.99 deposit option available.
MS-01 Dark Knight & MS-02 Ice Land
MS-03 Iron Arm & MS-04 Moon Shine
MS-05 Green Zone & MS-06 Cool Peak
Which in total comes to £479.97 (or £119.97 via deposit). A cheaper alternative to TFSource, in light of customs, shipping etc.

Also I'm pretty sure his torso mode isn't to scale here.
I think it's enlarged just to show his placement and most likely parts of another figure will cover the obvious train parts to smooth out the sides of Raiden.
