I am a big beast transformer fan and even I thought that at first glance. This feels promising for the rest of the line.

I agree and I really don't like beastformers. Both modes look good.

Definitely a picker-upper. Totally not a movie-verse design.
Being one of the few people that enjoyed the Kingdom mold, Skywarp II and Terrorsaur, this one is quite an improvement.
Definitely liking this style. Can't wait for the rest of the maximals. Hopefully Primal turns out this good.

This is more proof that designs can look like the original and still get all that new modern design junk all the bay fans are talking about. I like this, hopefully all the designs will be as good! Could even consider skipping kingdom for this!

I do like the robot head design though, a big improvement over most of the other live action bot heads. Plus the figure seems to fit in well with generations stuff and not look out of place so that's a bonus too.

I like that mold a lot. It may not be realistic in hawk mode, but it can do things that this one can't like fold the wings. The new figure has a much more realistic proportioned hawk body, but the wings are too thick (acceptable for a Cybertronian bird) and it can only move slightly at the wing "shoulders" and legs. Great looking figure, probably wouldn't be as nice on a realistic Beast Wars Airrazor like the Kingdom figure.
That said, this feels like a blueprint for a future MP Airrazor if one were in the works.
Shame there's no shot from behind, the rear portion of the wings are part of the torso, not the legs and articulated to be deployed in bot mode.

There you go:
Not the prettiest back, but I've seen worst.
And I'm sure the thickness of the backpack will be kept to a minimum.

It's ironic you say that because I didn't even notice them in the first place!
I can still easily overlook 'em anyway.

Still a shame, since the underside of the feathers clearly weren't sculpted with that later addition in mind. It's like they made the sculpt SO good there wasn't any place left to plonk that info. Irony indeed.SpaceEagle wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:SpaceEagle wrote:Comes off as a feathery cape to be honest, I don't think it looks bad.

A knock off ignoring said copyright info might be able to fix that...in a year or two.
Or maybe Reprolabls can work some magic.
Regardless, this toy does have me genuinely excited for the beast designs in this movie.

What's wrong with Terrorsaur?
I think all 3 uses of the mold have been pretty good.
I own Skkywarp and CGI Terrorsaur and like them a lot.

My only true complaint would be about his arm spikes. Those are SEPARATE accessories that can be too easily lost or missed out entirely right out of the box.

mine would be the loose pop off wings or the dino head not being able to fold in the chest, still a nice figure though and i just pop the head off and hopefully dont lose it.

The loose wings popping off is something I really wish they had fixed for the Buzzworthy Bumblebee version, but alas, they did not. And I fear that they will be just as loose, if not moreso, on the rumored upcoming Fractyl version.blackeyedprime wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:My only true complaint would be about his arm spikes. The paint job is also inaccurate

She is a good start to the movie beast designs. I cannot wait to put them next to other figure figures. I am quite happy with that idea in my mind.
Now, speaking of other movie figures. I know it's a throwaway alt mode, but the idea of a Prime transforming into a Cybertronian Destroyer, let along this design of Destroyer, is cool to me and I am one of those that like this alt mode. It is fun for me

Also excited for The Fallen but I'll be getting him around Christmas

Just got my Fallen yesterday and he is a big boi!
Took a while to figure out how to get his face on, but I liked how they implemented his arm struts, the ball joint on the forearms actually pivot for additional clearance, it definitely feels like it was thought out.

They put a lot of thought into the robot mode with all those arm joints and arm struts. They did this guy really good, I'm very pleased

The mold's transformation takes on an extra level of lame due to the fake chest.

In all seriousness I am very happy to have picked him up and I may display him next to my Kingdom Galvatron.

A pity no store in my city seem to stock on Transformers unless there's an ongoing movie/series. Guess I'll have to wait till next year for more Studio Series...

New arrivals are here! Crosshairs is set to arrive on Tuesday.
Laserbeak is surprisingly good, he's like an upgraded DOTM Cyberverse Bee! Articulation is surprisingly good given the size, sculpted detail is good, and it's cool to have a 3mm version of Bee's plasma cannon!
Also, something fun I noticed, they must have based Laserbeak off of the CAD file for SS DOTM Bumblebee because he has Bumblebee's weapon storage tabs on the back near the exhaust pipes! (and while you can't see it at that angle, you can see 4 support struts for the spoiler on the back of Laserbeak like the SS figure, while the actual Camaro has 2.)
Hot Rod is spectacular, the engineering for the chest and lower legs/feet is pretty insane, especially for a deluxe. Articulation and detail is great, it's easily one of the best deluxes of the line!

Really cool!
I am hoping to buy them in stock at Pulse this Friday, paypal credit at holiday time is a blessing.
Laserbeak should be here shortly though! I am excited for him!

Gotcha covered! I have Laserbeak's alt painted up too, but I'm going to have to wait a bit to get the paint I need to finish robot mode.
